Hi tippa3,

1 you get an error message when tried to connect to MSN Messenger?

Many users have solved this problem by following these steps.
1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
2. look for the following registry key: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
3. right click on MSNMessenger folder in the left pane and click Export, type the name of the file and click Save.
4. right click on the folder MSNMessenger and click on delete.
5 restart the computer.
6. try to sing in MSN Messenger and check the difference.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Hello

The message "you have disconnected because you access Yahoo! Messenger from another computer or device." appears when you try to connect twice with the same Yahoo! ID. Someone knows your password and he at the same time connecting with you or you have Yahoo Multi Messenger and accidentally logging in twice. One solution is to change your Yahoo! password or not to use Yahoo Multi Messenger with the same ID.

    Good luck!

Impossible to import C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\My Documents\My Backup\Backup260910.reg of register: not all data was successfully written to the registry.  Some keys are open by the system or my other processes.

So I closed my computer and restarted. I then followed your instructions again (this time save the backup of the registry to a member in the same library, called "Backup260910bkup"

Yet once, when I followed the number of the step 7. Navigate to the location and look for the name of the file with the .reg extension and click Open, the message of answers that I received from the registry editor has been as follows: -.

You should be able to create a recovery disc! Do this, use the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery disk creator tool!

In addition, you should visit the Canadian driver Toshiba page (Yes, this seems to be a Canadian model of laptop) and need to reinstall the webcam software and should update the Vista!

  • Problems with MSN messenger on the Satellite A200-175

    Hello world

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-175 with Vista home premium OEM Act.
I have this laptop for a year and a half. Right from the beginning I had many problems with MSN messenger. Whenever I'll have conversations, or MSN messenger is just on, it gets bogged down.

I tried everything to fix the problem:
    -removed MSN and downloaded again
    -tried other versions of MSN
-tried MSN with and without messenger plus!
-removed Norton anti virus (a human from a computer store told me that might be the problem)
    -installed new my computer everything
-Make a new email address (this time it @live instead of @hotmail)
    -stop the Starter sets

    But nothing helps!

    I'm desperate...
    Please, can someone help me?

    Good bye

    I see many things possible were tired and I have o say I would try the same thing, but I lack one important thing;

Have you installed updates for Vista together? I mean there are a lot of new MS patches and fixes available and new in SP1 came out too.

So I think you should keep the OS always up-to-date to ensure a good working order

  • Constant disconnects from the Internet

I have comcast internet and I connect wirelessly, and I think that my wireless card may be damaged or that it should be replaced because the internet is constantly "to give" even if the wireless signal has full bars and says I'm connected. The problem is very common, and I'm fairly certain that the problem comes from my own computer and not the internet society/router/modem. When internet "deal" I can't connect what either unless I flip the switch market and stop on the wireless card and very often I am disconnected from an online game or programs that use the internet as ventrilo or yahoo messenger. When this happens, I cannot even open a Web browser and when I open the browser, I get the message "waiting for...". blahblah.com"and then after a few minutes, one error message appears saying that the site is not available or that I am not connected to the internet when I'm certainly. Before I discovered that flick the switch on and outside would allow me to have new access to the internet, I should wait for my computer for I guess... resume internet... which could take up to 15 minutes of waiting.

This happens only on my laptop. Other computers that are connected to the wireless network were never this problem or even friends who are signed in to my internet did not have this problem. I'm always connected to the internet, and even after the execution of diagnostic tests, I get the results claiming that he has no problem with my internet, even if I get error messages saying that I'm not connected to the internet when I am. Reset the router and modem do not solve the problem, and I'm starting to get very annoyed. Router is not the problem because I just bought a new router a few days thinking that the old router was the problem, but it wasn't: the problem seems to be getting worse every day.

I even thought that it could be a virus of some sort, but it's not. Every two or three months, I restore my laptop to factory settings and clear all... I did recently to see if that would solve the problem, but it didn't.

In summary: I get disconnected form programs that require the Internet to function and also get error messages that I am not connected to the internet when I am. The internet seems to just 'give' and I have to click on the map with wireless on and outside to solve the problem, until it happens again within 30 minutes to an hour. I think it might be that my wireless card doesn't like his destiny... or is probably damaged.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve these problems or advice that could help me so I greatly appreciate.

You didn t write anything on your laptop, wireless network card or your operating system installed that s not very useful
However, there are a lot of discussions on similar themes, you should check the other assignments

    I recommend to check this:
    -Update the WLan driver
-deactivation of energy saving for the WLan

    Good luck

    Hi Freebyrd,

I guess you are talking about Windows Live Messenger because MSN Messenger doesn't really exist anymore.  If you try to use an old record or old 3rd party Web site to install it, you must obtain instead here: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-messenger?os=other.
