Multilingual in Jdev ADF support

Hello. I use Jdev 11 g R1.

I am trying to support the English and Hebrew in my application.

I followed tutorial to create resources for model and ViewController files.

ViewController:

===========

To view controller, it worked just file. I created ViewControllerBundle_iw.properties and made a change in faces - config.Xml. I change the language of the browser (Chrome) in Hebrew, and the page is displayed correctly

Model

==================================

I created the file ModelBundle_iw_IL.properties . I modifiled AM property and value

jbo.default.CountryHE
jbo.default.LanguageIW

If I run the simulator of Application Module I can see properly displayed VO labels in Hebrew.

But!

If I drop the VO on the page and execute it, the labels are always dyspayed in English. Am I missing something?

Answer to myself:

Everything started working after renaming to ModelBundle_iw_IL.properties to ModelBundle_iw.properties

Well, the other forum you mentioned is the Korean equivalent of the English forum.

You have already discovered, it is not controlled to many users. I didn't know that it exists at all.

In general it is to you where you ask your questions. All for one here are driven by the community and some employees of the Oracle, you cannot wait has answered all your questions. If you really need to answer you go through paid support.

A tip for getting help is to provide a well-defined use cases, information relating to your environment and documented code showing what you have already tried.

  • 11.1.2.3 Jdev does support EL 2.2?

    Hello:

    Jdev 11.1.2.3 on RedHat 5.8

11.1.2.3 Jdev does support EL 2.2? I thought that it would be provided with JSF 2.0.

I've read that in the Expression Language 2.2 we can pass parameters to a method of bean using EL. Is this possible? If so, what is the format for the EL?

I read to use a HashMap to simulate this feature, but is it necessary with EL 2.2?

Where is the Oracle Documentation for the use of EL 2.2 to pass parameters to a method of bean with EL?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

While he supports the JSF 2, it does not support EL 2.2. It will be available in 12 c and ADF/JSF

  • ADF supports the support database in mode offline, such as Adobe Air, or gear

    ADF supports the following model.

Application supports local database storage which can synchronize with a main oracle database when it is available?
Something like adobe air or google gears?

For a Web ADF faces application there is not built based on such. You can run the entire stack of ADF (middleware and DB) on the local computer, and then use DB synchronization service to synchronize.
Or you can opt to apply for ADF Swing base which can connect to a DB either local or remote client.
ADF Mobile Client, currently runs on mobile devices and not through a web browser.

  • When will be JDev ADF training be available?

The toolset JDev ADF seems to be very powerful and the tutorials are useful in getting started. The documentation is a useful reference. But for those of us who are new to this set of tools, especially when you are working in a very small group, form any training is needed to build a real application. What plans Oracle must provide this training? I hope that there is something on the horizon.

I believe they do, through the JDev homepage-> training page, even if it is the format of the virtual classroom on-line:

  • Deploy to JBoss 5 - 11.1.2 Jdev ADF

    Hello:
Has anyone successfully deployed an application ADF/Oracle DB in Jboss 5?

Jdev has a deployment for JBoss 5 descriptor, but even a simple "Hello World" application fails. I searched google and see a lot of hits, but the references are incomplete or who use older versions of the JARS. Please don't refer to these positions to well know, I am looking for real documentation.

Oracle supports the so-called deployment on third-party application servers... Where are the steps of specifiic and POTS to deploy an ADF application with an Oracle DB connection on JBoss 5 using Jdev 11.1.2?

    Thank you.

JDeveloper supports 'Generic Java EE' deployment of JBoss, ADF 11 g is not supported on JBoss.

  • JDeveloper 11 g & ADF: support for the version of svn client/server question

    Hi all

I would like to set up a repository for our dev team, we come from jdev 10g with svn 1.3.2 Server and tortise svn 1.4.8. After reading the documents ADF development Essentials of John Stegeman, I noticed this article was published in 2008 and version support at that time was 1.4 x. What is the current supported svn server and client (I would use tortise svn in conjunction with jdev plugin) version for JDeveloper 11 g?

    Thank you

  • BUG: JDev ADF BC refactoring 12 c

    build JDEVADF_12.1.2.0.0_GENERIC_130608.2330.6668

Refactor-Move doesn't seem to work on several objects ADF BC although it works as expected for Java class files. Follow the steps to reproduce.

    1. new App - ADF Fusion Web Application
    2. the model project, New | Business components of the Tables
    3. copy or create a login
4 EOs - DEPARTMENTS, EMPLOYEES - default package
    5. your - departments, employees
    6. reading only your = (none)
    7. application Module (default name)
    8. click on [finish]

    Test 1
    a. in the browser, select the departments and the EOs employees
    b. Main menubar: refactor | Move; package = model.entities (new package)
    c. expand the node model .entities - only departments has been moved

    Test 2

    a. in the browser, select the three associations

    b. Main menubar: refactor | Move; package = model.entities (existing package)

    c. in the node model .entities - an association that has been moved

    Test 3 (similar to Test1)

    a. in the browser, select the two objects in model.entities

    b. Main menubar: refactor | Move; package model = (existing package)

    c. expand the node model .views - only the object has been moved

I've also seen Refactor refuse to move any object, when you select multiple objects, but I cannot reproduce it reliably.

Maybe I have it miss me a step or documented limitation. This works for anyone?

    Kind regards

    Hi Peter

I hope this message finds you well?

Thanks for that raise and detailing.  I have reproduced the issue and filed bug 18219159.  We can say that it did not work in 11.1.1.7.0 either, but I think it is reasonable that it should work then see what a genius said.

If the problem requires an immediate fix, please file an SR with Oracle's Support.  Otherwise, I recorded the bug in the ADF EMG incident handler and you can follow progress: https://java.net/jira/browse/ADFEMG-211

    Thank you

    David,

Yes, he does. So far, we have a problem. If you use the skin switcher drop-down list, switch to the new skin of skyros makes the skin a minimum instead of the skin of skyros.
If you want to run your application with the new Quentin of skyros, you must hardcode than trinidad-config.xml:

    4 - poi - 3.0.1 - final - 20070705.jar

    javax.sql.DataSource < res-type > < / res-type >

I also add the jar file in my C:\Oracle\MiddleJdev11.1.2.3\jdeveloper\jdev\lib

  • Not able to run jspx Pages of BPM Application by using built-in WLS JDev ADF

    Hello

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, model: BC4J

I created a BPM Application in JDeveloper, with a process and a ViewController ADF for user interface project and a model project
The application is deployed on the WLS and works when I test it in the workspace of BPM.

But the UI of the ADF is based on custom of the database data and is a bit heavy UI with lots of data and features.
I am trying to create entire user interface in taskflows separate and use as auto generated pages created by the plugin BPM in JDev position regions.

Can I deploy the entire application and test it in the workspace of BPM, but it takes a lot of time for the process of generation and deployment.

So I tried to create a stand-alone page in the ADF ViewController project and use the ADF taskflows in the page to test in JDev integrated WLS.
So in this way I can concentrate on test only the ADF UI related code and not worry the BPM process to test the user interface. (Assuming that the process works well).

Please note that I don't want to test the BPM process (at this point), but I want to test only the built-in ADF UI of WLS.

When I try to run the stand-alone page in WLS, it gives me the error below.

Has anyone tried to run ADF UI pages in a BPM Application using JDeveloper.
Is there another way to test only the pages of user interface instead of deploying the entire BPM to WLS?
Is there a setting etc, we can change and turn the page in JDeveloper?

    Thanks for any help

    -----------------------------------

    Hi Sameer
    1. I know exactly what your condition is and what you're trying to do. I'll go with a few assumptions about what you have and on the basis that I say, unfortunately NO, that you try will NOT work. But there are other ways to test your stuff.

    2. you have a bpm, i.e. with a single process bpm application and a Web of TaskForms project (which has taskDetails pages that use your JSFF of fragments using the af:region tag). Don't forget to build the TaskForms project by selecting a. File TASK etc. You have a lot of things db backend and I hope that you have created entities, EJBs and DataControls. Then, you create links in JSFF etc. Everything is deployed on a full SOA domain fleded and you're good. BUT Yes, it is very tedious and painful to test. I agree.

    3. now you want to test only UI part without any process and tasks. To do this, you try to deploy on field of JDeveloper's integrated WLS and it does not work. Yes, it will fail, and it will not work. Because the domain default wls is a simple domain with just core j2ee and some modules of adf deployed. BUT your TaskForms also has some modules of bpm/soa. In JDeveloper, select your project TaskForms-> right click-> properties-> libraries project and Classpath-> right side, you see a lot of modules BPM for ex: Module of BPM. If you view it, you will see the modules (jars defined in this ex: bpm - services.jar). NOW your integrated domain name do NOT have these deployed modules, and so you get exactly the error that is entirely logical.

    4. go in your area/config integration jdeveloper and open config.xml file folder. Open the file config.xml of your entire standalone soa domain also. Search for "oracle.soa.workflow.wc" in these two files. You will find this soa area but NOT in the area of default jdeveloper. It is the question.

    5. now, you can not make your name domain integrated to work for SOA/BPM applications. This requires a lot of effort to add all modules and corrupt your domain also name. I would not recommend this.

Now, is there another way, you can test your pages of fragment that has stuff heavy backend. Yes. In your app JDev, create a new Web project with only the ADF modules. Remember when we create an application for the PIA, it creates 2 ViewController and model projects. So everything you want is create a new ViewController project that has all the web, jsff, javax, adl added modules. In what you create DataControls for your EJBs and create or copy Fragments that you already have. Then create pages of simple jsxp as hell01.jsxp, hello2.jspx etc and include your fragments using af: region etc. You can deploy your application to the exclusion of TaskForms on domain JDeveloper. As to the level of the EAR, creating a new deployment profile. Add all (EJB) projects, including the new project viewcontroller except for process and TaskForms. I am convinced that it will work. Then you test your JSPx files directly their performance:
http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello1.JSPX (assuming that the file jspx is under folder contenuWeb)
    http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello2.JSPX

If none of the fragments needs input data set, you can still create a PageFlowController class and have life like prepareModel etc. methods to define the criterion of data entries. Assign to this pageflowcontroller the pagedef. So every time that you run jspx, he calls this controller pageflow. Or just have a few fields on your screen jsff that stores data and a link to a managed bean. In this way, test you and certify your screen jsff, connections, ejb code backend db stuff etc etc. Once it works, it will work if you put this jsff in file taskDetails.jspx also with maybe a few minor changes.

If you want to really test your UI and all the backend without too much stuff to focus on the tasks of process / and NOT using soa domain, then this is the only way to go. I wouldn't recommend updating JDev field with stuff of soa/bpm. This is just my 2 cents opinion.

    Thank you
    Ravi Jegga
