Deploy to JBoss 5 - 11.1.2 Jdev ADF

Hello:
Has anyone successfully deployed an application ADF/Oracle DB in Jboss 5?

Jdev has a deployment for JBoss 5 descriptor, but even a simple "Hello World" application fails. I searched google and see a lot of hits, but the references are incomplete or who use older versions of the JARS. Please don't refer to these positions to well know, I am looking for real documentation.

Oracle supports the so-called deployment on third-party application servers... Where are the steps of specifiic and POTS to deploy an ADF application with an Oracle DB connection on JBoss 5 using Jdev 11.1.2?

Thank you.

JDeveloper supports 'Generic Java EE' deployment of JBoss, ADF 11 g is not supported on JBoss.

    Well, the other forum you mentioned is the Korean equivalent of the English forum.

    You have already discovered, it is not controlled to many users. I didn't know that it exists at all.

    In general it is to you where you ask your questions. All for one here are driven by the community and some employees of the Oracle, you cannot wait has answered all your questions. If you really need to answer you go through paid support.

    A tip for getting help is to provide a well-defined use cases, information relating to your environment and documented code showing what you have already tried.

  • When will be JDev ADF training be available?

    The toolset JDev ADF seems to be very powerful and the tutorials are useful in getting started. The documentation is a useful reference. But for those of us who are new to this set of tools, especially when you are working in a very small group, form any training is needed to build a real application. What plans Oracle must provide this training? I hope that there is something on the horizon.

    I believe they do, through the JDev homepage-> training page, even if it is the format of the virtual classroom on-line:

  • How can we consider jsp changes without deployment in jboss EAP - version 5.1.2

    Hi Experts,

    I use version 5.1.2 - EAP-jboss as server applications for ATG 10.1.2 application.

    If I change the names of labels or all small changes in JSP pages, the changes do not think in application.

    View the changes that I need to reboot the server so only I'm able to see these changes.

    with difficult deployment I want to see the changes.

    In jboss EAP - 5.1.0 this problem isn't here, we can learn jsp changes without restarting the server.

    Can you please help me to overcome this problem.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Murali.Ch

    Make the following changes in you web.xml under /jboss/Server//deployers/jbossweb.deployer/web.xml

    Under,

       jsp
       org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet

    Add the following

       development
       true

       modificationTestInterval
       0

    This will recompile your jsp on the fly.

    Just make sure that this feature is only enabled for development environments and you turn it off in PRODUCTION.

    I hope this helps!

  • Not able to run jspx Pages of BPM Application by using built-in WLS JDev ADF

    Hello

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, model: BC4J

    I created a BPM Application in JDeveloper, with a process and a ViewController ADF for user interface project and a model project
    The application is deployed on the WLS and works when I test it in the workspace of BPM.

    But the UI of the ADF is based on custom of the database data and is a bit heavy UI with lots of data and features.
    I am trying to create entire user interface in taskflows separate and use as auto generated pages created by the plugin BPM in JDev position regions.

    Can I deploy the entire application and test it in the workspace of BPM, but it takes a lot of time for the process of generation and deployment.

    So I tried to create a stand-alone page in the ADF ViewController project and use the ADF taskflows in the page to test in JDev integrated WLS.
    So in this way I can concentrate on test only the ADF UI related code and not worry the BPM process to test the user interface. (Assuming that the process works well).

    Please note that I don't want to test the BPM process (at this point), but I want to test only the built-in ADF UI of WLS.

    When I try to run the stand-alone page in WLS, it gives me the error below.

    Has anyone tried to run ADF UI pages in a BPM Application using JDeveloper.
    Is there another way to test only the pages of user interface instead of deploying the entire BPM to WLS?
    Is there a setting etc, we can change and turn the page in JDeveloper?

    Thanks for any help

    Hi Sameer
    1. I know exactly what your condition is and what you're trying to do. I'll go with a few assumptions about what you have and on the basis that I say, unfortunately NO, that you try will NOT work. But there are other ways to test your stuff.

    2. you have a bpm, i.e. with a single process bpm application and a Web of TaskForms project (which has taskDetails pages that use your JSFF of fragments using the af:region tag). Don't forget to build the TaskForms project by selecting a. File TASK etc. You have a lot of things db backend and I hope that you have created entities, EJBs and DataControls. Then, you create links in JSFF etc. Everything is deployed on a full SOA domain fleded and you're good. BUT Yes, it is very tedious and painful to test. I agree.

    3. now you want to test only UI part without any process and tasks. To do this, you try to deploy on field of JDeveloper's integrated WLS and it does not work. Yes, it will fail, and it will not work. Because the domain default wls is a simple domain with just core j2ee and some modules of adf deployed. BUT your TaskForms also has some modules of bpm/soa. In JDeveloper, select your project TaskForms-> right click-> properties-> libraries project and Classpath-> right side, you see a lot of modules BPM for ex: Module of BPM. If you view it, you will see the modules (jars defined in this ex: bpm - services.jar). NOW your integrated domain name do NOT have these deployed modules, and so you get exactly the error that is entirely logical.

    4. go in your area/config integration jdeveloper and open config.xml file folder. Open the file config.xml of your entire standalone soa domain also. Search for "oracle.soa.workflow.wc" in these two files. You will find this soa area but NOT in the area of default jdeveloper. It is the question.

    5. now, you can not make your name domain integrated to work for SOA/BPM applications. This requires a lot of effort to add all modules and corrupt your domain also name. I would not recommend this.

    Now, is there another way, you can test your pages of fragment that has stuff heavy backend. Yes. In your app JDev, create a new Web project with only the ADF modules. Remember when we create an application for the PIA, it creates 2 ViewController and model projects. So everything you want is create a new ViewController project that has all the web, jsff, javax, adl added modules. In what you create DataControls for your EJBs and create or copy Fragments that you already have. Then create pages of simple jsxp as hell01.jsxp, hello2.jspx etc and include your fragments using af: region etc. You can deploy your application to the exclusion of TaskForms on domain JDeveloper. As to the level of the EAR, creating a new deployment profile. Add all (EJB) projects, including the new project viewcontroller except for process and TaskForms. I am convinced that it will work. Then you test your JSPx files directly their performance:
    http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello1.JSPX (assuming that the file jspx is under folder contenuWeb)
    http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello2.JSPX

    If none of the fragments needs input data set, you can still create a PageFlowController class and have life like prepareModel etc. methods to define the criterion of data entries. Assign to this pageflowcontroller the pagedef. So every time that you run jspx, he calls this controller pageflow. Or just have a few fields on your screen jsff that stores data and a link to a managed bean. In this way, test you and certify your screen jsff, connections, ejb code backend db stuff etc etc. Once it works, it will work if you put this jsff in file taskDetails.jspx also with maybe a few minor changes.

    If you want to really test your UI and all the backend without too much stuff to focus on the tasks of process / and NOT using soa domain, then this is the only way to go. I wouldn't recommend updating JDev field with stuff of soa/bpm. This is just my 2 cents opinion.

    Thank you
    Ravi Jegga

    Thank you very much, I'm a bit desperate with this! :-)

    Kind regards

    Jose.

    Hi Jose,

    I've been encountering same problem for the last 2 days... Come to find out that the reason is library I added to the web project.

    To use commonj.timer for the planning of the work, I added Weblogic 12.1 Thin Client to my project and timer resource web.xml. As its name suggests, it is only for weblogic server. After I have encounter this error "wm". I have removed the library and commented my timers. Then the deployed project successfully.

    I hope this will help you (and others) too!

    Kind regards
    Sara.

  • How to deploy BPM processes with the shape of the ADF?

    Hello world

    I'm a newbie on the BPM (11g) and ADF. I created a BPM process and an ADF train in the same project.

    I was wonder if I can deploy the makings of the ADF, and begin to test only the train before hook to the top of the form of the ADF with the UserActivity.

    How can I do? How can you deploy? Better create a jar or ear?

    Any suggestions?

    Best regards.

    Fairlie

    Hi Fairlie,

    Here is a brief one minute video that I just post on youtube you through one of the ways to deploy a project ADF - http://youtu.be/irt4_1IL0vosteps.  It's the deployment as an ear file.

    If you are using 11g, you will not be able to deploy in your integrated WebLogic Server that works using JDeveloper.  You will not be able to right click on the page of an ADF jspx file or its taskflow and click Run, if there is an ADF application used in conjunction with a BPM project and its human tasks.

    Hope this helps,

    Dan

  • Multilingual in Jdev ADF support

    Hello. I use Jdev 11 g R1.

    I am trying to support the English and Hebrew in my application.

    I followed tutorial to create resources for model and ViewController files.

    ViewController:

    ===========

    To view controller, it worked just file. I created ViewControllerBundle_iw.properties and made a change in faces - config.Xml. I change the language of the browser (Chrome) in Hebrew, and the page is displayed correctly

    Model

    ==================================

    I created the file ModelBundle_iw_IL.properties . I modifiled AM property and value

    jbo.default.CountryHE
    jbo.default.LanguageIW

    If I run the simulator of Application Module I can see properly displayed VO labels in Hebrew.

    But!

    If I drop the VO on the page and execute it, the labels are always dyspayed in English. Am I missing something?

    Answer to myself:

    Everything started working after renaming to ModelBundle_iw_IL.properties to ModelBundle_iw.properties

    Add in the web.xml file
    < resource-ref >

    javax.sql.DataSource < res-type > < / res-type >

    and in my grain of support I add these imports and the method

    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    to import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.InputStream;

    Public Sub printReport() throws FileNotFoundException, JRException, NamingException, SQLException, IOException {}
    InputStream input = new FileInputStream (new File("c:/yourJasperReport.xml"));)
    Design of JasperDesign = JRXmlLoader.load (input);
    JasperReport report is JasperCompileManager.compileReport (design);.
    Map parameters = new HashMap();
    Parameters.put ("jasperParamenterName", "ParameterValue"); Used if you want to pass a parameter to a report of jasper
    InitialContext initialContext = new world;
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)initialContext.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/gestDS"); get your configuration of the application module
    Connection Conn = ds.getConnection ();
    JasperPrint print = JasperFillManager.fillReport (report, parameters, conn);

    JasperViewer.viewReport (impression, true);
    }

    I add a method when the button is clicked but I've made no reference to printReport()
    public String do_print() {}
    Add the code in the event here...
    Returns a null value.
    }

    I also add the jar file in my C:\Oracle\MiddleJdev11.1.2.3\jdeveloper\jdev\lib

    When I run my application an error pops up:

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/sf/jasperreports/engine/JRException

    at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredMethods(Class.java:2427)

    at oracle.adfinternal.controller.beans.AnnotationUtils.findAnnotatedMethods(AnnotationUtils.java:194)
    ....

    I found in numerous other forums using eclipse or netbeans I have to add these jar files in WEB-INF/lib

    Please can you help me because we expect use jasper in our reports

    Thank you

  • JBoss and the safety of the ADF

    If I use OPSS as the security infrastructure for my application of ADF, does this mean that I will be locking my request to run exclusively on WebLogic? Can I run an ADF OPSS application in JBoss instead of WebLogic? I hope that since OPSS focuses on JASS, then I should be able to run my application ADF OPSS-based anywhere THAT JASS is supported, as in JBoss.

    Hello

    ADF security depends on OPSS which is not yet available for JBoss (as far as my information comes). From FMW is available on JBoss, ADF security becomes available here. So yes, at the moment its limit of WLS, but is subject to change

  • Skins CSS / attractive application / with JDev/ADF/JSF?

    Hello

    I have no experience with CSS or make components look rich and attractive.

    1 is it possible with ease with JDev or any feature ADF/JSF?

    2. If I double click on an item in the window Structure of JDev and go to the tab advanced, I have the possibility of manufacturing components colored/bold/padding etc.. But I have several jspx with several components in them. I can do this in one place where I can criteria (Word to say for a button - "BOLD", color etc) and it will apply to all (buttons) in my application.

    As always, your answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Jdev ADF 11G: selection of multiple rows in a table does not work

    Hello

    I'm having a problem to select several lines in a table ADF using Jdev 11 G.

    A table of the ADF fell on the JSP and "Line Selection" is checked, when asked. In properties, change "RowSelection" "multiple". When running, the table upwards without that user can check for lines that they want to select the first column. A row can be selected by clicking anywhere on this line. Even with the 'Control' key is pressed, it does not allow the user to select multiple lines.

    Y at - it something wrong this function or have I missed something? Help, please.

    Thank you very much

    Annie

    Try this. delete this table. Drag 'n drop it again. Just change rowSelection "multiple" to "single". Run the page and see. in this way, you know what was wrong if it works?

  • Jdev ADF BC 11.1.1.0.2: how to create a dropdownlist control that is based on a list fixed?

    Hello

    With the help of Jdev 11.1.1.0.2, a search form is created according to a view critiria. One of the attributes in the search criteria should be a dropdownlist control with a list of values "N, O, S.

    In Jdev 10.1.3 I was able to set up a selectOneChoice based on a fixed list. The fixed list values can be entered.

    Is this possible in Jdev 11?

    Thank you very much.

    Annie

    I still don't know your scenario, but this is the case if you have defined criteria of display and based on it to use af:query component to search and instead of input field you want to have the list based on static values box:

    1. create the new object from view as a static list, create the attribute, set it as the primary key and define the list of static values
    2. in the view object with your view criteria go to attributes, select only the one you used in view criteria and click on + to add the list of values
    3. in the list of values Wizard Select ListData Source, attribute of the list and in the indications of the user interface, select attributes to display

    now when you run your page you will have the list of static values in the combobox as a value pick for research

    Kind regards

  • accessibility in jdev adf 12.2.1 mode does not

    I was working on 11.1.1.7 before moving on to our request for 12.2.1.

    capacity of 508 worked very well in 11.1.1.7. Now that we have moved to 12.2.1, just try to test mode the application screen reader and boom that none of the components are working properly.

    I found this link, but not a solution.

    I tried to create a sample application in 12.2.1 and activated the screenReader mode, yet none of the elements of rendering in screen reader mode.

    The same application I developed in 11.1.1.7 and works well.

    Is this a bug in 12.2.1 or am I missing something here?

    User, have you checked the good returns from the el?

    Is it a reference in the accompanying note that Oracle is working on eliminating the need for the
