Multiple choice with several answers questions

Hello

I was wondering if someone can help out me.  I'm creating a series of tutorials using Captivate and at the end of each of them, I want a slide that has options

(a) re - run the tutorial (jump will cost about 100 slides)

(b) go to the next step of the tutorial (next slide)

Back to start (jump to slide 1) c)

I had a look at the multiple choice questions in Captivate, but they only appear to alow you to make a move with a "correct" answer and I'm looking for more than a navigational tool.  This feature is recorded under the heading "Quiz" or somewhere else or this function is simply not available in this tool?

Thank you very much for your help,

Michelle

Hello

Note that with the type of Multiple choice question, when you select one of the possible answers you have an Advanced button that can be clicked. You can then assign a different action for each answer choice. So answer one could go back 100 slides, answer b could open another project and c answer could perhaps open Google.

See you soon... Rick

  • multiple choice with partial credit question, I have 10 responses only 6 are correct.  How to assign 10 points for each of the six correct answers for a total of 60 points setting?

How can I assign partial credit so that for each possible answer 6 out of 10 each correct answer gets 10 points each, with a possible total score of 60 points quiz?

To Captivate 7, please go to the Quizzing workspace. You will have the properties and properties Quiz Panel visible. I will now repeat the workflow, I explained briefly for CP7:

    • Check the partial score in the Quiz properties and also multiple responses.
    • Indicate the correct answers on the stage
    • Select the first correct answer on the stage text caption and indicate its score (10pts) in the properties panel, not in the Quiz properties!
    • Repeat the same for each correct answer
    • Check the total score in the properties of the Quiz Panel: should now be 60pts to the full question.

None of the quiz system variables can be changed, they are read-only. System variables in Captivate 6 - Captivate blog explains the system variables for 6 categories, there are a few changes in 7: new features of Captivate 7.01 - Captivate blog but the Quiz category is always read-only.

  • Advanced answer Options for multiple choice with multiple answers questions

Is there a work around to provide feedback to questions multiple choice with multiple responses?

For example, I am preparing a question with four ansers, B and D are correct. If users chooses only B, then the feedback will be "B is OK, but there is a right answer."

  • A quiz with several answers of choice in the context of an application.

I would create a quiz of ten questions, each with three multiple-choice answers to choose from. I would like the user to give a score out of 10 when they finish. I want to integrate the quiz in an application in offline mode created for iPad using InDesign and DPS. 10 iPads will be used during an exhibition for children to learn about Civil Engineering. They will be offline so all content must be locally on the iPad. Can someone suggest a viable way and appropriate to achieve this?

As long as you don't need to store the responses noted later when the devices are connected, you can build your quiz in HTML (be sure to locate the javascript libraries you use) and then just run your HTML quiz through a framework of web content.

This at least is the reasonable way to do it. The mad scientist in me also worked a way to use the MSOs and page jumps.

If you are not worried about showing children what questions they were wrong at the end (just the number of right answers and wrong), you would begin with 10 pages, one for each question. Each page with an MSO with three States include: unanswersed, good choice, the wrong question. The selection of an answer is a "next" button If the question has been answered correctly, it would take you to a page that has followed the trail "zero fault". If she was wrong, you go along the track "a fault". This would be repeated for each question that each wrong answer would pass you to a lower track while a correct answer you would continue on the current track. If my calculations are correct, it would take 56 (or 57 if you wanted a landing page) pages, each with a State three MSO on it.

There are about a dozen ways you could break the DSO and version of page break, so I do not recommend, but if the HTML code is to join, you have an idea of how it could, THEORETICALLY, remove it.

  • settings to multiple choice with 'like' condition

    Hello

I've defined a parameter, multiple choice, by using a condition "love."  Still, he works for the first value of the LOV and ignores the rest of the values.

Is it possible that the condition of 'love' can be used for several parameter values?

In other words, if a person chooses the values A, B, C of the LOV, I would that the condition be interpreted as:

    Field as 'A' or field as a 'B' or 'C '.

    -Other explanation-->

The reason why I need to use AS it is that the field contains, for example a-1, A-2, A-3, B-1, B - 2...

Instead of having the list LOV variations, it would be much easier for the user to choose, then get all the A that exist.

    Thank you.

    Leah

Take your field that contains the values 'permit medical-1', ' permit medical-2 "," permit age-4 ","leave maternity-2 "in it."  Going to call it Leave_type... Create a new calculation, called Type_of_leave substr (leave_type, 1, 14).    Create a new conditioning using the type_of_leave = field: leave.   You can use an item class LOV to show real values, if they choose allowed medical, the first two will be selected or those that start with medical license.

    Little clearer?

  • Delay feedback for multiple choice - 9 Captivate quiz questions

    Hello

Captivate 9, is there a way to delay your comments on responses to answer until the quiz is completed which is at the stage of the examination?

Captivate 9 by default is to show comments for each question immediately after the student has answered the question. It is not appropriate for my needs.

    Thanks and regards,

    Grant Bailey

If I understand what you wanted? Have you used one of the scenarios to have feedback not appearing does not immediately? My only explained methods how to 'hide' the immediate feedback.

This 'new' question: Yes, can be done, but you will need to use shared (or advanced) actions to raise the event to enter for each slide of the questionnaire.  It will be a lot of work, you will need to store the answer to each question slide (at least for the wrong answers) in a user variable. This answer will be in the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice quiz system but variable is a variable system reused. You must prepare your various comments text containers (for every possible situation) which are hidden initially, but indicated on the questionnaire slide when in playback mode. This can be done with a conditional action checking the cpInReviewMode system variable (Boolean, has a value of 1 when it is in playback mode).

  • Sequence multiple camera with several video formats does not?

    Hey there,

First time I've posted in these forums. Thanks for the help in advance if someone has a solution.

So, I have 2-4 cameras and an audio file. I do a sequence of multiple camera using the audio synchronization option. It works fine if I have video files, but the second that I include a few Gopro videos it no longer works. What it does is, syncs all the video files to audio very well, but when I drag the sequence in the timeline he puts all the video and audio on this is on the right track. When she does I can not use the multiple camera view in the program monitor.

I didn't have this problem until I updated to the new CC.

    Thank you!

    Adam

OK so I had to delete and re-import all files, then redo the multi-cam sequence. Also, I discovered that once you drop on the sequence on the timeline you can't file another sequence on the same timeline or it explodes the video and sound in its own securities.

    Conclusion...

Upgrade to the 2015.0.1 and then start over again. Also don't drop a single sequence multi-cam on the timeline you can't string together them.

  • to make a contact form with several answers to checkbox clickable?

Anyone know if there is a way to make a contact form where it may include several elements box people can tick, it would then send the form, and in the email it would show those who they checked and they don't? As something like... "Tell us which of these things you would like to learn more on" followed by a list of 10 things maybe they could check or not?

  • Sanitation in a course with several slides contained and question slides

My goal is to build a course that consists of 20 ~ content slides (each has a small video conference), followed by several questions each to compose a great quiz, each answer is counted toward the degree.

So my current configuration is as follows:

    • Each slide of the Conference is followed by question slides 1-3.
    • An attempt is allowed by each question.
    • All questions must be answered correctly before a user can move to the next slide content.
    • Each conference is preceded by another slide of content and has a button 'Next' with 'Back to the Quiz' on measures of success.
    • Failure to answer a question correctly, the user is redirected to the previous slide in conference at the Review Conference. Then the user is redirected to the slide in question failed (via a button 'Next') and the next attempt to answer the question.

I understand the scenario of reclamation and was able to set up the first slide of the Conference, followed by 3 question slides, and everything works as I want. Button 'Next' on the slide of the Conference works properly depending on where the user came to the Conference slide of.

However, when the user finally arrives at the next Conference slide, as soon as they click on the 'Next' button on this slide, they are brought back to the last slide in question answered: in my case, it's the third question slide after the first slide of the Conference. The loop closes just here.

Basically, there is no way for the user to pass the second slide Conference.

Why the button 'Next' on the second slide Conference not to go to the first slide of the following question?

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

Captivate sanitation with failure - part 1 - blog of monkeylogic

Captivate sanitation with failure part2 - monkeylogic blog

Lilybiri, I think that the solution to my problems is very well explained in the posts above I found last night. With a few changes, I could get my course work just as I had originally planned.

Here's what my structure/feature class now looks like in my test file:

    Title slide

    Video conference 1

Questionnaire1 Questions (tested with 2 questions multiple choice, 3 possible answers to each)-back to the video conference 1 first incorrect answer; go to video conference 2 success OR the second incorrect answer.

    Video conference 2

Questionnaire2 Questions (tested with 2 questions multiple choice, 3 possible answers to each)-back to the video conference 2 as soon as the first incorrect answer; go to video conference 3 success OR the second incorrect answer.

    Video conference 3

    .. and so on.

    The notation works, too!

I'm actually very happy to have found a solution to what seemed to be an impossible feat. Thank you for your help, I appreciate the time you took to answer my questions. As a completely new Captivate user, I think that I learned a lot in the last week, thanks to your contribution, and that of many other generous people on the web.

    Thank you

  • Question about alignments multiple choice or true/false response

When I insert a questionnaire to multiple choice or true/false question, the second answer (answer B for each type of question, is misaligned with his radio button):

During these questions master blade looks like this:

I can't understand how to align the answer with its radio button.  Any ideas?

    I use CP 7.0.1.237 on Windows 7.

Thank you.  I'll go ahead and mark this thread as a response.   I like the feature of automatic resizing of legends, but it messes up the alignment of the answer.

  • Adding more than four levels of failure in a multiple choice quiz (5 Cp)

    Hi-

I am currently using Captivate 5. In a quiz of multiple choice with five possible answers and only one good answer, I am only able to select up to three levels of failure. This means that if the student is wrong four times (and selects each of the four incorrect answers before finally choosing the right pair), he or she will not be served a failure with the fourth wrong answer message. Is there a remedy for this situation?

I would like to know if I was unclear, or if you could use more information.

    Thank you!

    wcramblit

Several slides question and answer do not have the option of advanced responses.  Yet true/false questions do not have it.  It's only for the Multiple choice questions.

You can save a feature request for this.  Every vote helps little.

  • package with several cmdlets

    Hello
I want to install 2 on real java card applets. They are in the same package and can use each other.
How can I do this on JCOP?
and what happens if they are on the packages of the difference and what happens if I use a few other lib as well? do I need to install this lib also if yes, how?

    BR
    Umer

If your packages and applets are in a single project Java Card JCOP, this must be processed for you. You can have several cmdlets in a package, you can have multiple instances of a simple applet, and you can have multiple packages with several cmdlets as well as library packages.

If you want to access an applet from another cmdlet in a single package, as a reference to another instance of the class. If they are in different packages, you use shared objects. It's because of the firewall of the applet.

    See you soon

  • Creating an ebook with multiple choice questions

    Hello guys,.

I am interested in creating an ebook pdf with the following characteristics.

    (1) it is divided into chapters and each chapter ends with a series of questions multiple choice (one answer)

    2) there are 3 'events' again in the form of multiple choice.

What I want is, who bed the book should be able to check/radio click on the right answer. I mean that if there are 10 questions, the user should be able to click on the ten answers and then, ultimately, click a button to check the score.

If the above process is very difficult to implement, at least, it should be able to verify the answers to the question immediately (as if he chooses a wrong question, he should get a red mark or something)

Can I do this with a software such as Acrobat or Indesign?

    Thank you

Yes, you can do this by creating form fields in Acrobat after you create the ebook in PDF format. The latest version of InDesign allows you to add fields that become form fields when the document is exported as an interactive PDF. For scoring, you will probably need to use JavaScript, but it will probably not too complicated. People in the Acrobat JavaScript here forum can help you with this part. If you need assistance with the part of forms, see the Acrobat help doc or ask in the forum forms Acrobat here.

  • Partial multiple-choice Questions with random pool

    Hi, I am using Cp9.

I have a Quiz with multiple-choice using partial credit and it works fine. But if I put these questions into a pool and use random Question slides to assign issues, partial partition option is no longer available.

Thus, questions are always fully marked. Does partial rating with random questions in a pool?

    Thank you.

Yep, according to Captivate manual, "unable to set partial scores for choice questions multiple pools in question.»

    What a pity.
