2.8 LCD screens reset multiple CHOICE and true/false questions

Multiple CHOICE and true/false questions work fine once only. After that, activity displays all the hidden data. Question must be reset and allow you to select a Merry again. Please I need help to make it work.

Finally, I solved this problem by:

1. by changing the Settings.xlm file:
\lcds\courses\coursename\course\platform\settings\setings.XLM

2. change false the variable 'assessments_persistResultsInLms '.

    I use CP 7.0.1.237 on Windows 7.

Thank you.  I'll go ahead and mark this thread as a response.   I like the feature of automatic resizing of legends, but it messes up the alignment of the answer.

  • The LCD screen no longer works and no housing or other lights are displayed since the last update.

The LCD went blank since the last update from microsoft, probably for windows 8.

I am running wireless through Windows 7, 64 bit.

    Everyone knows this?

Looks like the LCD screen is out. It might be the screen, or possibly a link inside the printer.

However, it seems that the printer is able to be used under the actions of the façade. We can print, scan, and even perform a scan-to-print copy.

However, if you want to take advantage of the features of back cover then you will want to consider a different printer because it sounds like this is to have an electrical problem in the display. Think to call the HP Technical Support on the upgrade program to get a new unit reconditioned at a discounted rate.

  • Multiple choice with several answers questions

    Hello

I was wondering if someone can help out me.  I'm creating a series of tutorials using Captivate and at the end of each of them, I want a slide that has options

    (a) re - run the tutorial (jump will cost about 100 slides)

    (b) go to the next step of the tutorial (next slide)

Back to start (jump to slide 1) c)

I had a look at the multiple choice questions in Captivate, but they only appear to alow you to make a move with a "correct" answer and I'm looking for more than a navigational tool.  This feature is recorded under the heading "Quiz" or somewhere else or this function is simply not available in this tool?

Thank you very much for your help,

    Michelle

    Hello

Note that with the type of Multiple choice question, when you select one of the possible answers you have an Advanced button that can be clicked. You can then assign a different action for each answer choice. So answer one could go back 100 slides, answer b could open another project and c answer could perhaps open Google.

    See you soon... Rick

  • multiple choice with partial credit question, I have 10 responses only 6 are correct.  How to assign 10 points for each of the six correct answers for a total of 60 points setting?

How can I assign partial credit so that for each possible answer 6 out of 10 each correct answer gets 10 points each, with a possible total score of 60 points quiz?

To Captivate 7, please go to the Quizzing workspace. You will have the properties and properties Quiz Panel visible. I will now repeat the workflow, I explained briefly for CP7:

    • Check the partial score in the Quiz properties and also multiple responses.
    • Indicate the correct answers on the stage
    • Select the first correct answer on the stage text caption and indicate its score (10pts) in the properties panel, not in the Quiz properties!
    • Repeat the same for each correct answer
    • Check the total score in the properties of the Quiz Panel: should now be 60pts to the full question.

None of the quiz system variables can be changed, they are read-only. System variables in Captivate 6 - Captivate blog explains the system variables for 6 categories, there are a few changes in 7: new features of Captivate 7.01 - Captivate blog but the Quiz category is always read-only.

  • Delay feedback for multiple choice - 9 Captivate quiz questions

    Hello

Captivate 9, is there a way to delay your comments on responses to answer until the quiz is completed which is at the stage of the examination?

Captivate 9 by default is to show comments for each question immediately after the student has answered the question. It is not appropriate for my needs.

    Thanks and regards,

    Grant Bailey

If I understand what you wanted? Have you used one of the scenarios to have feedback not appearing does not immediately? My only explained methods how to 'hide' the immediate feedback.

This 'new' question: Yes, can be done, but you will need to use shared (or advanced) actions to raise the event to enter for each slide of the questionnaire.  It will be a lot of work, you will need to store the answer to each question slide (at least for the wrong answers) in a user variable. This answer will be in the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice quiz system but variable is a variable system reused. You must prepare your various comments text containers (for every possible situation) which are hidden initially, but indicated on the questionnaire slide when in playback mode. This can be done with a conditional action checking the cpInReviewMode system variable (Boolean, has a value of 1 when it is in playback mode).

  • Choice options multiple LCD screens limited to 3

    Hello

When using the 2.8 LCD screens, when I try and create a multiple choice question.

When I go down to choose the right answer, I see 5 options, but when I fly over this area, 4 and 5 choices disappear.

So I'm limited to issues with only 3 options, does anyone know why options 4 and 5 simply disappear?

    Hello

You can ask your question here:
  • How to clean LCD screen better?

    Hello

I am a new owner of a used Camcorder HDR-CX550V (store display). The LCD screen is quite dirty and stained. Can someone tell me the best and safest way to clean the screen?

I have a special cloth (Microfiber?) that came with my computer's LCD screen. I guess this works very well, but what liquid should I use? Is the water OK? What could be better?

    Thank you

    Gregg

I know that this may be a trivial question, but I was wondering if you could clarify what a soft detergent solution is?

I would like to clean my computer screen laptop vaio of what appears to be water stains, and yes a dry clean cloth did nothing to remove.

It would be nice if concrete examples of the solution to use (IE... the brand and the % water, detergent) would be provided or if there are brands or products of liquid solutions out there which have been tested by the staff of sony with good results in cleaning these screens, it would be great to have this information provided. According to me, it is hard to believe that a company like Sony with what I can only imagine a huge R & D department not tried multiple options of cleaning these screens and has no recommendations which are a little more specific than "a neutral detergent solution".

To say that I am frustrated by the lack of details provided would be an understatement.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Multiple choice questions: "Advanced response Option" went when changing multiple response

    Hello

I have a multiple choice question and each answer has a check box to enable the option Advanced answer.

I have another question multiple choice and the advanced answer option is not there--not that gray... is simply not there. The only difference I see between these issues is that one of them is to have several correct answers (2 of 4 correct) while the first MCQ has only one correct answer on 4.

Any ideas why this is missing?

Advanced response option is available for only one correct answer. Only one

custom question slide can give you that control.

  • Adding more than four levels of failure in a multiple choice quiz (5 Cp)

    Hi-

I am currently using Captivate 5. In a quiz of multiple choice with five possible answers and only one good answer, I am only able to select up to three levels of failure. This means that if the student is wrong four times (and selects each of the four incorrect answers before finally choosing the right pair), he or she will not be served a failure with the fourth wrong answer message. Is there a remedy for this situation?

I would like to know if I was unclear, or if you could use more information.

    Thank you!

    wcramblit

Several slides question and answer do not have the option of advanced responses.  Yet true/false questions do not have it.  It's only for the Multiple choice questions.

You can save a feature request for this.  Every vote helps little.

  • Allowing students to multiple attempts to answer a question

    Greetings,

I created a questionnaire multiple choice which has three questions, a correct and two distractors.

The quiz works very well as long as you choose the correct answer on your first attempt. If you select either the two wrong answers, the quiz slide "will automatically advance" before you had a chance to select another response. If it is possible to return to the question slide, I would like to than the participant to have at least four attempts to do this just before the quiz slide "advance auto.

With respect to the installation program, the question are defined to allow four attempts before the failure

. I also tried to put the measures in case of failure to 'no action', but this has absolutely no effect.

The same way setting doesn't seem them preferences to display 'back button' to work.

I would be very grateful for any help that anyone could give.

    Kind regards

    Cameron

    Yes. That is right.

Now that I know that you use the advanced option, I would say that it is the question.

  • Black horizontal lines on the LCD screen at a specific time during the start and stop

Hi, I am currently using a Presario CQ61 Notebook PC.  My problem, as indicated in the title, are black lines on the LCD screen, apparently when the screen is reset or enclose itself turned off during the start and stop only. From the judgment, he produced a split second her stops the hard drive, after that the screen is black. The lines and then quickly disappear. At startup, lines appear after the Windows logo has passed and the screen went from black to start loading the login screen.

The LCD is in perfect condition, all using the PC. No line, no discoloration, etc.. Nothing extraordinary either. The problem does occur only during these two periods, specifically. I am also unable to note the lines when I'm looking directly at the screen. I have to be standing next to the PC, at an angle.

Now, I had this PC for a considerable amount of time, however, I never paid much attention to the screen when starting upwards or stop, so this could definitely be something that the laptop has done since I bought it. I also read on similar problems, and it could be an outdated video driver or BIOS.

I want to just make sure that it is not a major problem. Thank you all!

  • (Dell LCD) screen goes blank when I connect. Requires the switching on of the screen on and outside

(Dell LCD) screen goes blank when I connect.  Requires power to the power on and off screen, at least 15 to 20 times before picture stays on.  Any suggestions? No to the problem site so don't have the model numbers.  Dell computer and about 8 years.

Looks like your monitor is having problems sync-ing for the resolution settings that you have defined for your monitor.  When you get your screen is displayed, right-click on an empty area of your desktop-> properties-> (tab) settings.

Then, in the 'Screen Resolution' area, try to move the cursor to the end of 'Less' and click 'apply '.  It will then try to change to this new resolution.  If your screen is empty for now, just wait about 30 seconds and it will return to the previous resolution (which can mean that you need to power cycle your monitor you have done to get it back)-otherwise accept the settings if your display looks OK.  Try to find a solution that works with your monitor.  It is also possible that your monitor is going bad.
