Multiple values in the dashboard application application database Direct

Hello

I created a direct request from the database that accepts input from a prompt by a variable of presentation, either placed in request of db query. I realized in the process that I had to give a default input to the variable of the presentation of the petition. The input variables passed from the dashboard quick came in the right format, only if they are placed in quotation marks, Eg: "Input_Var".

After all this, I came across a problem when multiple values are entered, the query is generated with an incorrect format. Here is the example:

Select col1, col2

of TabXX

where username IN "Acct_Nm1", "Acct_Nm2"; ')}

Is there anyway to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi all

I used the sequence next to convert the string separated by commas, received XML from the dash prompt.

"Select XXX".

movies XXX

where the value

in (SELECT )

EXCERPT (VALUE (d), ' / / row/text () ") .getstringval)

Of

(SELECT XMLTYPE ('' |)) REPLACE ('VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION.req_var)', ';', ''). ') AS xmlval

The DOUBLE) x,.

( TABLE (XMLSEQUENCE (EXTRAIT (x.xmlval, '/ lignes/ligne'))) d)"

Create a query variable 'req_var' in the prompt to serve in "VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION.req_var)" and pass it to the report. It will be useful.

Thank you.

  • How to switch between multiple windows in the same application?

    Hello

    I use OS X Capitan version 10.11.13 and I'm trying to find an easy way to switch between multiple windows in the same application by using CTRL + alt or different keys.

    Here is what I feel...

    Let's say I have Outlook, Google Chrome, Safari, iTunes and apps 'about this Mac' open.

    I open the new message window in Outlook and another Chrome window. I have therefore 2 separate windows in Outlook and Chrome.

    With that, I'm unable to move the composition and the window main outlook which is so annoying. Let's say I want to read the emails by the prospect main window and transfer of the content of the compose window! The command + tab doesn't take me to the main window of Microsoft outlook! Even if there were the last visited / applications window. This constraint is not intuitive, unless it can be configured in the settings?

    Strangely, I can't switch to the "about this Mac" window.

    The work around is to use the function (F3) mission button and click on the window, that I want to use or click the "Outlook" application on the dock icon and choose the window in the list.

    Does anyone know how switch between different windows in the same application by using a key combination or one another method other than listed above?

    Thank you

    Avinash

    In general, an Application that can open multiple windows provides a "Windows menu" you can choose the window you want.

    For contact:

    1) press the first mail

    (2) then drag the 2nd mail left or right a little bit.

    Repeat 2) for all other mails you want to select. You can use the same way to deselect.

    For the mouse:

    Use the ctrl and shift keys, like the Windows desktop version

    I don't know if there is a way to make the selection of the beach of 'shift' by touch only.

    Hi all

    I am facing a problem in passing multiple values in the loop settings for.

    EX:

    CREATE or REPLACE PROCEDURE (pr_id OUT NUMBER) HAVE

    tab type is table of NUMBER;

    TEMP_TAB TAB;

    BEGIN

    Select the COLLECT LOOSE pr temp_tab pr_id;

    I'm in 1.TEMP_TAB. loop of COUNTING

    PR_ID: = temp_tab (i);

    end loop;

    END TEST;

    OUTPUT:-

    pr_id = 234578

    in the example above, I'm only a value as an out parameter. but I send you PR_ID of the loop.
    why I don't get all the values that the parameters.please offer a solution for me.

    Thank you my friend.

    More clarification, let's look at your code...

    -- create a procedure and have a single numeric out variable
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST ( pr_id OUT NUMBER ) AS
      -- declare a type as an array of numbers
      type tab is table of NUMBER;
      -- declare a varianble of that array type
      TEMP_TAB TAB;

        -- set the value of the single OUT parameter, OVERWRITING any previous value it has
        PR_ID := temp_tab(i);

  • Multiple PhoneListeners in the same application

    Hi all

    I'm trying to add two PhoneListeners in the same application and find that the other will not get invoked. I have an application that has two entry points in one of them being a module system and start-up of the unit. Which will record an instance of the class with Phone.addPhoneListener a. Then the user starts the user interface of the application that, at some point, also recorded a PhoneListener, this time a failure of class B. The recording goes, class static fields B get initialized I see in newspapers (which is still quite a strange story...) but this second listening port methods are never called, while the first will be. Now, if I Uncomment the a-class record in the background then case process, auditor of class B in the user interface will receive reminders... What is happening here?

    Thank you

    Laszlo

    I was pulling my hair. I just redid my request so that the daemon starts listening when the GUI is finished to do. Now for some strange reason, that it works always, although I tried several times commenting on the listener in the daemon and then put it again and it showed that the problem is caused by several headphones. Then after refactoring it still does not work...

    and then I found this thread http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&message.id=23282 that describes the same problem. Mark Sohm replied that it was a known issue and it has been fixed in the latest versions of 4, 5-7. It is what explains why it manifests for me not in 4.6 and 4.7 and 4.5 I downloaded most recently.

    In fact, he illuminates it is better because it seems that the problem is to have several applications to listen. I was not sure if the same main method with entries multiple points count as one or more applications. And fits in your comments, because you seem to be OK with having more listeners in a single application. The posts above also shows (and that's what I lived just know) that the problem is with the method of callInitiated only.

    And the solution to why my application has not worked despite the refactoring was I tried an app called "Black & Whitelist" a few days ago on the emulator. But "of course" it did not work from my previously installed application and was, therefore, receive notifications. However after that the other application refactoring stole the notifications, so the GUI of mine still did not. This is a very nasty bug . BTW is there a db official bug somewhere? Bugs like this shouldn'tbe forgot that even if they are fixed with the new OS releases they will survive for years in millions of handsets than ever (or rearly) will receive an update.

    Thus, it would be nice to know the version, in that it appeared and that fixed it. (Same for the other bugs of course.) Then there might be a database that can be queried for the class names & method and it could even be integrated with the IDEs popular to display popup messages when you type the code or with static analysis tools, etc. Integration is the easy part and can be made by the community, effective maintenance of the db. probably need to RIM.

  • Get the value of the item application from another application

    Hello

    My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but it is very difficult to find something relevant when you are interested in the function V!

    My application consists of a number of different applications APEX that use the same cookie so that you can easily navigate between applications without having to log in again and to keep the same session id. Having separate applications allows to group pages and reuse the code easily.

    I have a requirement to be able to write the values stored in the fields in a single application to the database through a process on a page in another application. As a simplified example, that is to create messages and bookmarks of pages to display specific records in the database. The user will navigate through the system and find a record that they are interested, click on a button that displays a page from another application, enter in some details and then save the record in the database.

    The application of 'other' page knows the url of page called him, so that he knows also the application id and the page, but he doesn't know what file is being viewed. I can find the application and the page id is the name of the element that stores the primary key. I noticed that the V function also accepts the stream id, so it should be easy to then get the value by V (v_item_name, v_app_id). However it always returns null.

    I've simplified this by adding a page on the homepage (32561 application) process to insert a value in a table of test using a process page:
    insert into test values ('#'||V('P1_ID'));
    The result is #41
    So if I go to the page in the other application, I have a page process which is:
    insert into test values ('*'||V('P1_ID',32561));
    The result is *.
    I thought that maybe the other page of the application was ignorant of id flow, in that I spent, but change the above to:
    insert into test values ('*'||V('P1_ID',));
    The result is * 1 (the value of P1_ID in the other application)

    I'm doing something wrong? Have I misunderstood how the V function? Or is there another way I can retrieve the value of an element of application in another application?

    I am currently in 3.1.2, but I just tried this on apex.oracle.com (3.2) with the same results.

    Thank you very much

    Have you seen the answer by Scott here -

  • Set and get the value of the item application in Javascript

    Hello guys,.
    Can you tell me an example how to set and get the value of the application element in Javascript, and how do I check if the value of the point of application is null in Javascript, too. I have read a few replies, but nothing worked (e.g. $x (app_item), $v (app_item), $s (app_item) and so on).

    Thanks in advance!

    To get the value of an element, use the following syntax:

      alert("The value of MY_TEST_ITEM is " + $x("MY_TEST_ITEM").value);

    to set the value that you have just made

      $x("MY_TEST_ITEM").value="Set to this value";

    Keep in mind however that you need to send the page in order so that he could be picked up by APEX - javascript is CLIENT SIDE, ONLY! Either that or use AJAX to put on the side server.

  • Value of the item application in javascript

    I'm sorry that if this question has been asked, I can't find a clear answer on how to search through the forum.
    I'm trying to access the value of an element of the application in javascript.
    I tried $v('APPL_ITEM') and $v('APPL_ITEM').value, when I try with alert ($v('APPL_ITEM')) or ($v('APPL_ITEM').value) alert poster null or undefined.
    I saw the session state, view all and see my request item hah a value.
    How can I use the value of an element of application money in a JavaScript function.

    Kind regards
    Mark

    Brand:

    Application parts are not part of the HTML page generated by APEX and are therefore cannot be referenced using javascript. You can however write a JS function that uses AJAX to retrieve the value of the element of the request of session state. Something like

    function getappitem(appitem){
      get = new htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'),'APPLICATION_PROCESS=GETAPPITEM',0);
      get.addParam('x01', appitem);
      gReturn = get.get();
      get = null;
     // alert (gReturn)
    return gReturn;
    }

    And and ODP named GETAPPITEM with the following code

    HTP.PRN(v(APEX_APPLICATION.G_X01));

    You can now call "getappitem" in JS like

    getappitem ('TEMPORARY_ITEM') to get the value of the application element named "TEMPORARY_ITEM".

  • How to pass the value of the item Application Javascript function.

    Hello

    I have the JavaScript in the properties attribute of the HTML Form element

    I'm on page 1 and passing the value of the item page P1_DEPT_NO. It is perferctly working very well and I am able to get the exact value of the element on the page
    onchange="javascript:function1($x('P1_DEPT_NO').value);"
    I'm on page 1 and passing the value G_DEPT_NO of the Application element .
    The problem here is, I don't get the point of Application inside the javascript function value.
    I tried to use alert(); and it gives me the undefined value
    onchange="javascript:function1($x('G_DEPT_NO').value);"
    I just want to know, How to pass the value of the Application in Javascript element.

    Thank you
    Deepak

    Deepak,

    I'm not a Javascript expert, but the suggestin I did was because the javascript is a case-sensitive... language and thats why onChange is not the same thing as onchange.
    Not sure if this is causing the problem.

    Application elements not associated with a page and have therefore no properties user interface.
    So, as mentioned in another post, the rendering would not work for the elements of the application.
    If it is for a single item, used only on this page, you might create a hidden page element and use it fo your goal

    If you want to keep watching objects application and AJAX, this page contains examples of using AJAX to solve problems like the one you mentioned.

  • Passing multiple values at the request of the State (no status page)

    Hello

    [APEX 4.2.4.00.08 on the 11.2.0.3 database]

    I didn't know how to explain briefly what I need in the title of the discussion, that's why I added the song "(non page rapport)". "  I met a lot of threads associated with passing of selections multiple values from one page to another, or via a URL from one page to another.  I know how to do this.  The problem I have right now is trying to pass the commas of the values contained in an application to a report query element.  Here's where the "(rapport non page) ' comes into play."  I refer to the report query at the level of the application (i.e. shared components-> report queries).  I wish really it had another name for it.  "Report on the application of queries", perhaps?

    In any case, my report query has a bind variable, AI_ID_NUMBERS, that is defined correctly in the shared-> components report queries. However, when this item application has multiple values such that AI_ID_NUMBERS = 4, 5, 6, 7 etc., my URL looks like this:

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:4, 5, 6, 7

    So, this returns only one record for the report where the identification number is 4, one.  I tried a string parameter of Substitution of Application (URL_REPORT_1) with the two following variants (for which both return only a single record):

    Substitution string = URL_REPORT_1 and Substitution value = f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS: & AI_ID_NUMBERS.

    Substitution string = URL_REPORT_1 and Substitution value = f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:-& AI_ID_NUMBERS. \

    returns...

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:4, 5, 6, 7

    myapexsite.com/f?p=456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT=report_1:::AI_ID_NUMBERS:\4,5,6,7\

    .. .respectively

    I really thought that the backslashes would have solved the problem.  Any ideas why my report request (PDF) returns only one line?

    Thank you

    -Seth.

    Well, too bad. I realized the mistake I did.

    When you work with 'request report queries', there is an option to include variable bind, for example the application or page elements.  I had already done that, but for some reason, thought that I also had to pass the parameter and its values in the URL.  This is not necessary since the report query query already has the issue of the application/page related to it.  The following URL works fine:

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1

    And, Yes, it's the URL that is provided when you set up a "application report query.  I was thinking too hard.

    -Seth.
