• Button style in the control of knowledge

  I'm running into a lot of curiosities trying to style buttons, so I was wondering why (or if it's a bug in the matrix) I can not put the text of the button CONTINUE in the results verify the knowledge to be left-justified, centered, or right?  Why on earth would have to be deleted for these buttons?

  White uses the Transparent button Style, and indeed this button still has a centered label. The buttons shipped in Question and Score slides are the last objects that you cannot replace it with a form (key in this case) that is much more flexible. They must be the normal buttons. If you really want the label to the left or justified to the right, you will need to create custom image buttons that you can specify as a default Quiz button style.

  BTW, Transparent buttons or text never had the ability to change the alignment of the label. I don't know why you say "..." removed for these buttons?

• Button style default Quiz does not appear in the Style Manager object

  All buttons in a quiz that I created have black text on a black background, so that they are not visible. However, I do not seem to have an option in the Style of the object manager to change the default Quiz button Style. Outside the update each button individually, are at - it another option or a way to make the buttons appear in the style of the Manager object? I am using captivate 5.

• InCopy paragraph and character styles

  Have been upgraded from CS3 to CS5 and our editors have a ton of paragraph and character style pré-séries. I was wondering if there was a way to import these to InCopy CS3 to InCopy CS5. I searched for them in the program files and the folder of application but data had no chance of finding.

  Open paragraph styles menu and choose load all styles. Find the file that has these defined styles.

• Button styles, do not update actions

  Hello

  I created a button style (in this case an exit button), which updates the appearance of all of the buttons defined in this style very well, but the action for this button does not work.

  Is there a way to do, because I would rather not have to day 70 + buttons whenever I need to change a few light? Or is it just the way it is in Captivate?

  Button styles are separated from the actions. The style controls the visual appearance of the button. Each button will have its own action. A lot of people would probably be very frustrated if the action were to be the same for all the buttons when you changed a style.

  Maybe you need to submit a form Adobe wishes to request a feature, which also allows you to specify actions if you want to. Link is in my SIG.

• second line to the paragraph indented using styles?

  made anyone know if its possible in Indesign to do the second line of the paragraph indented using styles?

  I'm working on a book and I put the first word of each paragraph to be slightly larger and a different font to the rest of the paragraph. I did it using a style nested with the paragraph style. I also want to do what the second line is indented from the amount of space to the first word on the first line. This isn't problem doing this maunally but I want to find a way to define a style for this so that I can compose the book like this.

  Check your window of export. Looks like the setting for the export of areas without slices is not selected.

  As the title suggests, first of all I would like to add a suffix to all of paragraph and character styles:

  Title 1 = position 1_p

  Bold_p = "BOLD"

  Also, if possible, replace the space with an underscore:

  Title 1 = Heading_1_p

  Chapter No. 1 = Chapter_Heading 1_p

  You're not sure if this need of a script or two?

• CS3: need script to replace spaces with underscores in the paragraph and character style names

  Help! I am very new to scripting.

  I managed to find and tweak existing javascripts to search through all my paragraph styles to disable hyphenation and off balance the jagged lines, but I need help with this one.

  I work on Mac OS 10.4.11 using Indesign CS3.

  I need a script that will search all my paragraph and character styles in my open Active document and replace spaces by underscores.

  Can someone help me with this? It would be greatly appreciated!

  1. I don't know, but I think you can use all the regular GREP inside this function codes. Do not use the quotation marks around of the expression, use slashes! (Why? Just a curiosity of Javascript... maybe a hack that goes back to the gray mist of JS development...)

  This work should - but rather the code above, this is not tested:

  .. Replace (/ [-\ / ()-. _] + / g. '_');

  The GOLD group inbetween the brackets contain all the characters you want to replace with an underscore: the hyphen (this has to be the first character in the group, else it will be interpreted as a range of characters from each side!), space, slash (this one is 'special' inside the function replace JavaScript, so I think he needs to escape with a backslash)! in parentheses, a period (not sure if it should escape - into ordinary GREP, it's the wildcard character for any character, but maybe he loses his magic within a group of GOLD) and finally... the underscore character. Why?

  Well, this replacement string comes with a free bonus. Note the sign after the installment of GOLD +. This means that a whole sequence of these characters is replaced by a simple underscore: "it's / a - / test" will become "This_is_a_test". Adding the underscore line itself to the string of research means that it will also find the whole chain 'space space (stroke underscore)' in 'This style (_)' and, oh magic!, replace it immediately with a single underscore.

  Just FYI, the tiny "g" after the closing slash is abbreviation of 'global', i.e. at the global level, replacing in this string. replace the default values for a replacement only (why? see above...), and adding the 'g' ensures he keeps replacing until it is not find matches more.

  3. uh, yes it's true, but you will need to check very carefully if nothing inside one of these basic models is substituted. You can apply a base style and add substitutions to make look like a subtitle, but that isn't making it a. And to the next paragraph, you can apply a base style and add substitutions to make it look like a paragraph of plain text (etc.). It's a signature of witness to bad formatting...

• A Rollover button

  I did a bitmap on a rollover button - reason - so that when the mouse over the area of the button/image/thumbnail - it becomes larger on the stage and when the mouse moves outside the parameters of the bigger picture and it goes back down to the original size of the thumbnail of the button/image /.

  Which works very well.

  However, there is always a but. When I put in place the same functions for other tiles on the stage - if I'm flipping the second vignette - other thumbnails appear (per) in addition to this enlarged image.

  I thought it was a "problem of the layer order", but that did not fix any how I changed diapers autour.

  I assumed that, as always, Miss me one simple step.

  Looking back I don't see what would have led me to think that you use instead of AS3 AS2... maybe it was just the term "flipping."  If you are using AS3 then you can look in one of the two things you found, or look in setChildIndex()... setChildIndex is perhaps easier to work with because you can set it to the highest depth child ((numChildren-1) and not have to go after specific instances.)  If you are looking for setChildIndex in the help documentation, you'll see it covers exactly what you're trying to do (I think).
