• Reference/Confirmation Web Form submission number

  I'm trying to create a web form for my website that allows families to report the upcoming absence from the student. Muse made incredibly easy web form design, but I still have a single point of friction I'm having some difficulties with. When an absence is recorded, it must receive its own unique number. This gives a way of following each absence and finally connect it to the lesson of makeup that the student is enrolled in. It is also how the student ensures that they receive the credit for this makeup lesson, as a way to confirm/prove that failure has been reported.

  So far, we have been assigned those numbers ourselves. It is incredibly long. What I'm trying to do is once the absence is sent via online web form, I would like a confirmation number or reference number automatically generate and display for the customer. I don't have any specific number style or anything like that. Just a specific kind of unique registration/application ID number.

  Any help would be a great help. I'm still very new and I use the wrong language or terminology, so I apologize if this is something that has already been addressed. I can't find anything.

  Muse resets the default values for a bunch of CSS properties (including the properties used to format forms) so that the code generated by the Muse can be sure that all browsers popular variety will have default values and therefore provide an identical appearance. The code that you copy and paste is not explicitly set these CSS properties and relies instead on the default settings for the CSS properties.   The only settings I did took the H3 header on opt-in and page navigation after the action to get rid of the opt in BC function as default. I tried to download the source code as well and I'm having the same problem. The web Page is here " copy " and a version of what I was creating the page to look like here is ' home ' As you can see, the 'House' version allows me to scroll past where I would have placed the shape box while the 'copy' stops at any user to parade before. I have called the shape slightly from the "development" of British Colombia under the style sheets tab and still tried to trouble shoot and get rid of the code to see if it affects something and it did not add style. For some reason only the HTML to the form is but I cannot understand what the section of the code would do that. Any ideas?

  I see that you have inserted a script tag open that you forgot to close, which generates errors on the page and prevent it from be returned correctly. You should ensure that the code that you insert in the Muse is syntactically correct.

  I think I may have a solution for you. I reduced the problem in my composite form down to a simple form. I renamed that are formed and removed all special characters (for me I had to remove the character &). After this change the composite form which previously would not planning open now works correctly.

• Something keeps removing my web form when I post to Muse

  I'm developing a site in Muse.

  I create a web form in British Colombia and generate the HTML that I copy and paste into a block HTML in Muse. Everything seems fine. I publish the page and when I submit the form I am redirected to a page that says, in red letters, "you deleted your web form, you must re-create the form in British Colombia," or something to that effect. Of course, I'm going to British Colombia and the web form disappeared.

  Why would it be? I've re-created several times, and same result every time. I also tried publishing under a Module link, and it's the same thing.

  There is a solution in this thread that works for me: essentially the form must be used at least once through the front-end server of the site to prevent the replacement of Muse. Creating a unique record keep somehow vivid form.

  I used Adobe Muse forms and they work a treat, by sending the contents of the form. My first question is, with the full report Adobe (the £46 per month with all software), there are no fees for these forms in a site is there?

  If you want to say, you have created new Web pages in Muse and now you want to transfer to Crazydomain, then yes it canbe done. You can use either uplod to OTF in the file menu option, or try to export your site in HTML format, and then upload it via FTP client.

  I thought I could have found a way to circumvent the application of weak forms of Muse, by creating a web form on Business Catalyst > Manager of Site > Web Forms.

  I have created a web form, define the response by e-mail, copy the html code, inserted the HTML on a page of Muse, published the site, filled out the form and got this:

  

  So I went back to the same page on Business Catalyst, deleted the web form, I've done just minutes before, created it again from scratch, inserted the HTML code in my page of Muse, he published, filled out the form and got the SAME ERROR message again.

  I did not remove the form, but Business Catalyst think I did.  :-(

  How can I get around this ' mistake of an ERROR?

  I noticed that there are THREE forms in British Colombia bearing similar names (I only did ONE). To make sure that I work in the correct form, I COPIED it - it now bears the same name as before, the word "copy". But when I opened the copied form, all the fields are in the wrong order. I tried several times, and this strangeness is consistent. Right now I'm really confused about getting a decent (custom) form in Muse.

  If you publish a Muse to Business Catalyst site, during this process, all existing webforms in Business Catalyst - that do NOT HAVE associated case/data - will be deleted.

  The simple workaround is so whenever you create a form in British Colombia, you want to put in Muse, just put the form on a page in British Colombia and submit a case to the interface via this page. After this, adds the form BC Muse Web page and then republish to Business Catalyst. Form you is not removed.

  I checked it against another smaller shape, which works, but cannot see any difference between the first lines and last lines.

  
  

  OK set - the number at the top of the form is different than the script of the form.

  I realized that whenever a web form is modified, it gets a new number. catwebformformXXXXX

  However, the problem is that if you did a bit of CSS formatting (taking all the tables) and then add new fields, check the number changes in the javascript, you copy only the new code and new javascript, so you don't have to do all the formatting again.

  To fix, you must then manually change the number at the top as well.

  I guess that this problem will not occur if you format in the web form itself.

  If you have a setup pay purchase card then it should ALWAYS be 1.

  Hide the card Type field which is different ways someone can not choose their type of card, I guess that's your intention. If this is the case and you want to only accept AMEX, then you must set it as the value of the input drop-down list box and then hide it etc. The reason shows Visa is because that's what the value is in this drop-down list.
