MX 2004 Dreamweaver stalls/analyses on aspx file

I want to change the code in a 28 KB/line to address 750 aspx file. DW on my computer is PAINFULLY on all fours for this file. This file takes 7 to 10 minutes just to load. If I'm really lucky, it does in fact. When there is no luck, just lock the computer. A simple copy and paste two lines of code take 2-3 minutes only to copy - paste. It takes another 7-10 minutes to save. Needless to say that my productiivity is in free fall. It doesn't on my laptop at home using Windows 7 with DW CS3 with 4 GB of Ram. The file opens quickly.

I use to work DW mx 2004 on a Mac equipped with an OS X operating system with 1 GB of memory. Please don't just tell me to upgrade. Apart from the upgrade of RAM, I'm stuck at the moment with this computer. What I'm looking for is - is there anything in my DW settings that I can change to reduce the amount of time it takes. The strange thing is that it is just that particular file that causes me problem. This is by far the most important in the site - the feature is to create individual pages and load the appropriate content depending on what happened to a switch statement.

Except what I can do with DW settings or changes made to the aspx code, can anyone recommend another editor MAC for use with a large file that might work better. I'm not familiar with the MAC

Kept googling and got this:

In the folder: c:\program files\adobe\adobe dreamweaver cs4\configuration\translators

Rename: c:\program files\adobe\adobe dreamweaver cs4\configuration\translators-bak

Solved this problem. Don't know if it due to others. Yet.

    Help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

    You can apply the default file association in windows. Follow http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-vista/change-which-programs-windows-uses-by-def ault

    Also, you can try adding in DW preferences.

    1) go to preferences< file="">

    2) click the icon "+" on the left column and add the extension you need.

    3) click on the icon "+" in the right column and add the editor like Dreamweaver. Find the Dreamweaver.exe file installed in "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC.

    4) click the main brand and click OK.

    (5) close DW and relaunch.

    I hope this helps

  • CS4 Dreamweaver crashes with ASPX files

    I use Dreamweaver Build 10.0 - 4117 (within the suite CS4 web premium) on a computer running Windows XP Professional.

    I am unable to use Dreamweaver with my ASPX site. Continuously, it crashes when you try to switch between views (design, split, code).

    I tried to remove WinFileCache and rebooting - no luck.

    Suspecting files aspx based on a different forum post, I opened an html document and was able to switch between all points of view. Then open the aspx page, has been able to click from design to the slot, but then tried code view and got what seems to be a javascript error box saying simply "an invalid aurgument has been detected. Click split and programmed mode crashed with an error message indicating "Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 has encountered a problem and needs to close...". »

    I am also unable to paste (ctrl v) text of Word document in aspx files, it crashes also.

    This makes the CS4 unusable for me. Anyone else knows this or know of a fix?

    I was also mad for the last two months with the same problem. I tried every troubleshooting tip, and nothing has worked. Sometimes the CS3 would not break as much, but my productivity was certainly downwards.

    The other day I tried something else and to my amazement, it seems to have worked (for me).

    When you work with aspx files, I kept getting errors related to translations converters & external, etc...

    I finished my folder "translators" of "translators-bak" of name change:

    Rename c:\program files\adobe\adobe dreamweaver cs4\configuration\translators TO c:\program files\adobe\adobe dreamweaver cs4\configuration\translators-bak

    Now when I insert an aspx (or other heavy language) in Dreamweaver, he's trying to do it's thing more. It stops just it of own translation (whatever it is) and allows me to use the file.

    I can even pass Code, Split, design view now.

    I hope this helps!

  • I can't open my computer, suggestions .aspx files?

    I'm working from home and I have Windows Vista Home Premium that came installed on my dell computer. I tried to open documents yesterday and they had the extension .aspx file, they will not open. a screen popped up on downloading drivers and there were 4 places suggested to go to get the drivers and even get an analysis of the 'free' registry, but when I tried this, I discovered it was not 'free'... they have made the search very well, but then wanted to sell me a program. Any suggestions on what I can do to open .aspx files? I tried Wordpad and Notepad and it was all in code, that I couldn't read.

    Files with the .aspx extension will open in Internet Explorer.

    Thank you!

    It is strange that the open/save/Cancel dialog box, at least in my case, it's an ASPX file without being more specific about the type of content. When I use a proxy to inspect traffic, I see this:

    Content-Type: application/x-java - jnlp file. charset = utf-8

    There were two other threads recently about problems of JNLP files. I'm not sure, or either of them reached the resolution, but for reference:

  • HP 4620: HP 4620 scans very well, but could not save the analysis in a file

    The scanner scans very well, but could not save the analysis in a file. Whenever I try to save, it crashes.

    Hey @motikama,

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

    I see that you encounter some problems with the scanning of your Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one for your Windows 7 PC. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Uninstall all software associated with the printer to your computer.
    2. Restart your PC.
    3. Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

    Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can scan, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • I can open an .aspx file, but I can't print the file?

    I open an .aspx file and fill in the empty fields. When I go to print the file he ask is if I want to record on documents. I click on Ok, but then I can't find the file. What should I do to print the file directly?

  • How to save .aspx files

    Hello.

    I'm a web developer using Visual Studio 2008/10. This program debits files have an .aspx extension. I wish I could save them with Windows Backup & Restore. However, this utility deals all.aspx files as files sytem and refuses to back them up.

    Does anyone know how to back up Microsoft Visual Studio web pages with Microsoft backup.

    Mike

    If you use Microsoft Outlook, there are a number of data files (as the dictionary and others) that cannot be stored in locations that are naturally included in the backup. You can move these files to a location in your userfile (maybe a folder in Documents) then they will also be included. It is not that MS Backup is not save them, but that they may not be in a location and types of net that you have selected for backup. Not to mention that the .aspx files, will not make full backup of file system recognized (but you already know that).

    I'm happy I could help - it was my pleasure.

    Tnaks for comments.

    Good luck!

  • unsaved .aspx files

    I'm a web developer. I use development environment of Microsoft's flagship web: Visual Studio. Since (in the mode of web development), the majority of files created in Visual Studio have an .aspx extension, I find it odd that Microsoft Backup & Restore utility exludes files with a .aspx of backups (treat them, I read in other posts, in the form of system files).

    This is ridiculous.

    Does anyone have a solution to this situation: a tweak registry, etc.

    I am currently using SyncToy, which works very well with the base (such as .aspx files) files, but less well with the likes of e-mail. I prefer to use just to back up & restore.

    Solutions, anyone?

    How to open an ASPX file

    ASPX is a file extension used for files that are of type Active Server Page extended. Here are the Web pages that are made using ActiveX scripts, and which are based on the programming Microsoft ASP.NET Framework. These Web pages is generated by Internet servers. The ASP code is created by the Internet Server and is then interpreted as HTML web browsing program.

  • How to open an .aspx file?

    I just downloaded an .aspx file. Windows 7 doesn't know how to open it. How can I open it?

    A . ASPX file is a set of routines written in Visual Basic Scriptprocessing. They are generally executed from a web server or similar caller program passing the parameters in one or more routines.

    If you try double-clicking the file, you try to run it. When it is run out of context, for example not a program calling, the. ASPX file can't do it but too bad.

    If you want to see the underlying script commands, right-click and select Edit. The file should open in Notepad and you should be able to read the code.

  • Save and open the remote aspx file on the device

    Hello.

    IM developing a widget that opens up to a distance of webfilehttp://11.11.11.11/myHtmlPage.aspx. I need it to be available offline that I have but I would like to put the HTML on my SD card.

    My question is. How to save the file with all its html and how can I open it so that it opens as a Web page.

    Here is a code snippet which does not really. (he opens the file stored on the sd card, all right but with the text http://11.11.11.11/myHtmlPage.aspx instead of the html code that was in the original file

    var

    filePath = file:///SDCard/myDataFile.html;

    function

    openFile() {}

    blackberry.io.file.readFile (filePath, readFile);

    }

    function

    {saveFile()}

    object var blackberry.utils.stringToBlob = blob ('http://11.11.11.11/myHtmlPage.aspx'); ("' saved file");

    blackberry.io.file.saveFile (filePath, blob);

    }

    I think the problem lies in the following snippet:

    var blob = blackberry.utils.stringToBlob('http://11.11.11.11/myHtmlPage.aspx');"file saved");

    stringToBlob does not have an HTTP request for the value you provide. It turns out some string that is received in a blob object.

    You will need to use XmlHttpRequst to make a Web request to the given page and then use the results of this HTTP response in the call to the stringToBlob method.

    Does that make more sense?

    See you soon!

  • error analysis in the file c:\program files (x 86) \hp\digital imaging\bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml

    Hi all..

    I had this problem for a while now, but now its got to the point where I can't scan anything now or the other.

    If I try to click on the HP Solution Center, all I get is a popup saying "error analysis in the file c:\program files (x 86) \hp\digital imaging\bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml.

    I had a link to the screen so that I could use my scanner, but now it will not work, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling every driver HP & file I can find, but I'm not getting anywhere. Any ideas?

    IM using a laptop Toshiba Satellite C660D-1 and can connect to my HP Officejet 6500 has more (E710 n) by usb and wireless network.

    IM using 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, with an AMD E - 450 APU Radeon HD Graphics and 6 GB of ram.

    Its a cell phone works, so reformatting wouldn't the best solution, even if it's as well as I would have originally been.

    Any other suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Hi DavRao

    Thanks for the answer... Sorry that I won't be back for you so far, I ended up going out on the road all week.

    I had already seen the advice below on the first page I've found in research to help, but I forgot to mention that I had already tried.

    I have a drive and downloaded another copy of my drivers, but at no time I found L4uninstall.exe

    Also, I do not consider the L1, L2 and L3 uninstall that I've seen mentioned previously...

    I found the uninslaller on the HP Web sites, and runing it me have once step 1, a second round was stage 2, stage 3, stage 4.

    By now, I got desperate and tried everything I thought that could help to remove all traces of services in msconfig, uninstall everything related to HP, I even backed up and then deleted (in desperation) and the entered boot records of HP.

    Nothing helps. Uninstall would start to remove the drivers, but just before it finished every time, it would start to recede and that should give up then.

    I ran a system restore to before you start tweaking options, etc, just so that everything was back to normal, but still does not...

    Then downloaded and installed "Iobit Advanced Uninstaller" (100% free to use)

    http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.php

    This allows to uninstall all references of HP and its first rotation used the regular unilstall sequence and didn't, but then he gave me the choice of force uninstall...

    He gave me options of backup/backup so that if things went wrong, it could be cancelled... and it all uninstalled... Then authorized registry references and a set much more that I never would have found manually.

    After that restart 99% of HP had disappeared... I then used CCleaner (100% free to use)

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

    It cleaned all the cookies for leftovers, abandoned the entries in registry etc...

    I was on the moon...

    HP full software downloaded again, just to be sure, I got later and he ran...

    It was the same version that I had often tried to install above all that I had been unable to remove, but this time, the options and the stadiums were completely different, it was as if my laptop had never seen a HP printer before and has been learning new.

    Installed perfectly, (with all updates and shopping addons unchecked)

    My scanner now works on the whish network wireless its NEVER done in almost 2 years.

    All the drivers are up to date, where as before, I often saw up to 10 versions of my printer all the tag errors, even if the printer would work for basic operations...

    IM happy now IM 100% healed...

    All this thanks to 2 bits of free software that I am now keeping the hand on lol...

    Hope this helps someone else with similar issues

  • Dreamweaver inexplicably & wrong brand png files as hidden when they have not been designated as such.

    Object:

    • Dreamweaver inexplicably & wrong brand png files as hidden when they have not been designated as such.

    Data sheet:

    • Dreamweaver CC 2015.0 release, build 7714
    • Mac o/s 10.10.5
    • Mac Mini (mid-2011), 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7 2.7 GHz

    Description of the problem:

    • For some reason, Dreamweaver puts the red diagonal line through png files, which indicates that they are hidden when I do I not so designated them.
    • When I use the shortcut menu to reveal to them, the order to disclose is grayed out. I need their coat, and then I can unveil their.
    • Then, when I 'Refresh' my list of files they get hidden once again, at least the red line passes through them.
    • When I have uncloaked them and then put the local folder they are in (after deleting this file on the remote site first for this test) the png do not, but the jpg in this folder and the folder itself got set.
    • In order to upload them to the remote server, I need to manually drag the png on the remote server files. And, even though I was uncloaked first png files, once the png files have been moved to the remote server they get the red diagonal line.
    • Once a file is on the remote site and the red line applied to its icon, I am provided with the context menu options show and not the coat when I select one. This was not available locally, as mentioned above.
    • But then when I unveil these remote png files, and I update the list, the remote files the red diagonal again. Once more the remote png files have the possibility to reveal available in the context menu and not reveal.

    Another thing that is probably unrelated, the files Panel sometimes flashes in quick succession, so much so that it is boring, enough to force me to reduce.

    1. right click on the name of the site in the files, click on curtain-> settings panel

    2. in the dialog box change the settings for what you need.

    3 save the new settings
