You could sweep the Linux hard drive partition, but the antivirus engine may not recognize viruses that target another operating system.

Original title: is this the right category?
I don't know even what category my question but here goes. My CPU is still about 50-60%. I will open another window to check my mail and it will jump up to 100%. Sometimes I read a story and I'll type in a comment and it's like I had a little in my keyboard or something? I'll hit a key and hit nothing. I have to press the button again, then again and then he will type the letter. I can't type normally because half of the letters will be absent, I have to press a button at a time and wait to see if the printed letter. Sometimes whole window freezes just straight up. You cannot close the window, go to one of the other tabs, it's just frozen. I can open a new window and it will be fine but that frozen will be there right behind the new window I opened. Some say that this is my keyboard but I'm here and it's good. While some say that I have a virus or something but I used my Microsoft Security Essentials to scan and it says: there is nothing there? Unfortunately, I do not know too much about computers. I will probably not even be able to find the answer if someone replies to this? Any ideas?
The file is fine, but you don't seem to have the problem of CPU when you ran the trace, because the CPU max usage for all processes was ~ 10%. The largest user was iexplore to around 2%.
You must re - run it when your cpu is having the problem.

Windows will warn if Check Disk detects irreparable damage?
For Windows 7, if the disk check utility is used on the C drive and includes a review of surface (what will happen to the restart of the computer), Windows will notify the user in a clear manner if there is a critical problem found, or it is entirely up to the user to look in their system logs later and interpret to understand if the disk check found something he could not repair?
Windows will not "ci". To see the results of chdksk after the reboot, open Event Viewer and look in the Application log for a recent event of Wininit and open. The complete chkdsk log will be there. If it is long, it is easier to read if copy you and paste it into Notepad.
(In XP it was an event of Winlogon, rather than Wininit.) -
I tried to download a program: System Mechanic Professional 9.0 www.Iola.com
I recorded it on the desktop, right-click to run as administrator, at this stage, it starts to download but the following message comes to the screen: install/uninstall program has stopped working.
A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Of course, nothing happens after that and I close the message. I bought this on the internet and I have the activation code. It's good for 3 pc. I put it on my desktop and it works very well. My laptop is Vista Home Premium with 64-bit operating system. Everything else seems to work fine on my laptop but I desperately need this program. Laptop is so slow and Firefox takes forever to open the pages. I get a lot of messages it does not!
So I appreciate any help you can offer.

Cannot install Windows updates (Windows cannot check the updates)
I have 10 computers networked with a Windows SBS11 server as a domain controller. The 10 computers, 6 of them are Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and the other 4 are Windows Vista Pro (32 bit). All computers stopped Vista download of updates ago and which gives an error, the message "Windows cannot check for updates. When you try to check for updates manually or automatically that the error is displayed, but it should not be any problem with the updates are downloaded and installed on Windows 7 computers.
I tried the following:
-Ran the system update tool.
-Execution of Malware Bytes and Vipre Antivirus analysis in safe mode. No infections found.
-Disabled the firewall and restarted the search.
-Reset the proxy server using the winhttp netsh from the command prompt.
-Restarted Windows Update Services.
-Ensure that the BITS Service is running.
-GPO update for Windows updates not be configured on computers.
-Change Windows Update settings to allow the manual update. Allowed for the updates to install, but after computer restart returned to the old settings and error appeared.
If there are any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate.

In Firefox 29 Center by clicking at the top of a tab in a zoomed window will open a closed tab previously instead of close the tab that you clicked.
Is this expected behavior? And if so is it possible to turn it off?
Thank you
Middle-clicking on a tab the farm, any means - by clicking on an empty area of the tab bar opens a new tab.
A different behavior is probably caused by an add-on like Tab Mix Plus tab-based. If you are unsure if you have a such add-on, restart Firefox with disabled modules and check if the problem persists.

Why my TestStand deployment installation appear under my Windows will not start menu of my target machine?
I managed to install the deployments of work to the target machines. However, I expected to see the classified facility "My TestStand system" in my Start menu, but it is not. Am I misunderstanding something here?
Also, if I do another target second deployment to the station as "My TestStand system B", all LabVIEW files in my previous installation for "My system TestStand" disappear from the directory (c:\Program Files\My TestStand system) target.
I use TestStand Professional 4.2.1 on Windows XP and LabVIEW 2009 development station.
Thank you Paul,.
That solved my second problem and inspired me to look deeper for the response to my first problem. The answer lies in the tab 'distributed file","Installer properties' box 'create a program item:
Wouldn't be nice if it is automatically checked by default for main sequence files? Wouldn't also nice if "Upgrade Code" was regenerated automatically by default whenever we have saved the file *.tsd under another name?

How can I fix a customer Launcher.exe gambling problem which could cause it to stop working?
The Client Launcher has no openings of the problem and update games reviews, events and the server info maint. etc., by clicking on the game where is installed the client takes me to this start page of games. But that's all. From there, I click the START GAME button and immediately the Game Launcher stops working. Then the pop-up message running runs saying A problem with launcher did stop working. This problem report has been sent to Microsoft. The Windows notification Qmessage closes leaving the Message of Microsoft Windows. Says that Microsoft will inform me with a solution when it becomes available.
In courses now since mid October 2010 and the problem is still a problem. Here are the details of what I tried.
Solutions provided by the Support Help Desk game still worked so let my forced. and still in treatment.
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game client and game more then enough time and that did not help. Even tried mirror download sites.
Windows Vista is up to date, the hardware and the drivers are all up to date. System requirements to run the game is ok. (I triple checked cause the game worked initially.) I could even play other games in the game Client. One day, while he was playing in the game he closed and stopped working. A bit like you have been started from the server). Since I could open the client and click on a game to see. clicking on start game triggers the Launcher of client to stop working.
I cleaned up my registry and it fixed and did a cleaning disc.
I read every help file in the hope of finding something or something, anything that would be useful. Impossible to find a solution.
I used the recording of events where there is a link Option to support for the error that occurred dansMon event systems online. There was no solution available.
I have reviewed the troubleshooting on the Microsoft TechNet site. Cannot find the fix there either.
I've exhausted all my resources I can think.
So if there is someone who can help me solve this problem once and for all, my son and I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you...

Windows cannot check the updates - C800044E error code
Hello
Since yesterday, I get a notification icon in the taskbar indicating that windows cannot check the updates. If I click on the icon and then click on the button "check for updates" in the new window, the search end reports that an error has occurred and the error code is C800044E. This happens every time after the computer starts and when I try to manually check for updates.
The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit with OEM license.
I already googled for this error code, but none of the suggestions found during the search worked. Mode by default with no results, I installed the MicrosoftFixit50202 (have not tried yet aggressive mode). I ran the malware Microsoft Windows (without threats found) removal tool. I downloaded and installed manually the KB947821 update for vista, also without results.
The last successful update is dated more than a month previously, and I assume that at the same time, some important updates may appear. Can someone help me with this problem?
I've already solved the problem by using the system restore (I used a restore enjoyed a week point).
I'll answer your questions anyway, in which case this may help solve one similar problem to others:
1 Vista SP2 (all updates important/critical installed as of October 1, 2010)
2. Eset NOD32 antivirus/antispyware with current subscription. No third-party firewall (just the windows firewall).
3-4. I have never installed a Norton or McAfee application on this computer, but I'm not sure if a trial version of Norton AV is pre-installed with this computer (if it did, I removed it when I originally set up the computer - almost 3 years ago).
