  I recommend you to install BlackBerry Desktop Software and do a full backup of the device. Then do a security Wipe. You can do the wipe by going into Options and type security wipe in the search bar. Do not include the media card, but include 3rd party applications. You can install those later via BBWorld.

  When it's done, you can only restore the databases that you really need like e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.

  When you are all done to ensure that the media are registered in the media card. I recommend getting a much larger map in order to have room for photos and videos. You do not want the data stored on the device memory.

  If the problem persists after reloading or upgrade, contact the vendor of wireless services for repair options or replacement should the smartphone BlackBerry still fall under the warranty coverage.

  I think you have something else stored on the memory of your device application 3 other than you have a memory card on your device and where your media files are stored? Have you enabled support Media Card on your device, please check, if you have stored on your device memory then transfer these files to your press card, this Knowledge Base for:

  I installed the Blackberry World accuweather app on my torch 9800 the latest version of the OS 6. After the reboot, when I tried to open the my phone application restarted. I went to uninstall in the world of blackberry and the phone froze. So I just thought that I hide the application and do not use it. However, not even run the my phone application crashes after 2 minutes. The only resolution is a battery pull, which buys me then for 2 minutes. I tried to use blackberry desktop to solve the problem but the phone freeze as soon as it connects to the blackberry desktop.

  When I say phone freeze, I would say. I get the spinning clock symbol and that's all. It ran for 25 minutes before the last drawing of battery. Help! any suggestions would be helpful.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior ceases, then try to delete the application in Mode safe.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   I noticed that many suggestions listed in this forum indicate by clicking on items in the Desktop Manager that are non-existent in all versions that I downloaded and installed.

  I would be grateful for any suggestions.  It's maddening!

  I have no idea what JL_Cmdr or BBSAK exists so I don't know where to go with your comments.

  In both cases Desktop Manager does not always communicate with the Blackberry.  I did a clean uninstall and reinstall DM 5.0.  I did a hard reset on the BB and I still can't get it to work.

  When I look in device "Ports (COM & LPT)" Manager "RIM Virtual Serial Port (COM4) v2)" and "RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM5)).

  When I look at Bus USB controllers I see those who seem to be associated with the RIM.  There are 3 Intel USB Universal Host Controllers, 4 USB Root Hub, a generic USB hub and an Intel 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller.

  Any ideas?

  I finally got my curve and I just wanted to share my positive experience with you all. It's easy as pie to synchronize Act! 6.0 using CompanionLink and Blackberry Desktop alone, jumping harder synchronization with Outlook then Blackberry method. I had all this in less than 10 minutes and it was a pleasure. Personally, I took my Palm Treo 700 and it shattered into pieces 1 million across the street from my work to celebrate.
