My Blu - ray BDV-E970W has more TV icon option

Started my Blu - ray to watch TV using the sound surround today and there is no sound, when I went in the menu to select the TV icon it isn't there anymore, so I can't get the sound to work when watching TV. Tried to reset to factory settings and it is not yet here. Can someone please?

Is there a way to stream music from an iphone (without being connected to the docking station) for the blu - ray player? I like to play music in itunes on my iphone via the wireless from my phone home theater system. I downloaded the app, but I do not see a feature that will have access to the music on the iphone.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.

If you have downloaded media: connect, then the iPod should see the report devices(BDV-N790W) that are on the network since the iPod is the DLNA server. Make sure that the iPod and BDV-N790W are connected to the home network. Check to see if the DLNA server is shown in the Player configuration options by going to SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > SERVER CONNECTION SETTINGS. Also, check that the converter is able to show as available on servers DLNA by going to SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > RENDERING and CONTROL of ACCESS RENDERER OPTIONS. If you can not always connect to the player, then check the firewall of the router settings. If you don't know how to configure the firewall on the router, then contact the manufacturer of the router for further assistance.

  • I have a blu ray BDV-E580, and the Sound Bar HT-RT5 and a Sony KDL-55BX520

Can I connect my Soundbar through my Blu ray? right now it is hooked up through my TV. And I'm having a hard time keeping all synchronized. I thought that maybe it might help.

    Hi giszmo888,

BDV-E580 already is a complete system. HT-RT5 is also a complete system. They do not work together.

We recommend to use a single system with your TV or connect the BDV-E580 directly to your TV. You will use this system when watching DVD movies and connect your TV to the Soundbar via an optical digital connection when you watch the TV channels. Be sure to choose external speakers or turn off TV speakers when watching TV channels.

    Thank you

  • Recommend Blu - Ray burning software

    Hi all

I can find a BLu - Ray burner, but the software that allows you to burn BLu - Ray still seems a bit sketchy.

One below looks good, but many say that you must purchase additional software for blu - ray burning.

I have toast, but an older version and do not want to pay just to be able to burn blu = ray.

Is it safe to burn it to Blu - Ray in the FCX? This option requires no other software right? The iMac and FCX

    has everything what to do?

What do you do with your DB? If you need to create sophisticated, you may need a Windows machine. If all you need is a reliable compiler and running something that reliable external combustion of FCPX, Toast gets my nod.

Burn inside FCPX works very well but it is facing issues like burning DVDs, especially subtle graphics or menu glitches that are difficult to track down or weird user errors.

    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Always do a job - even in a first time?  If so, pilots may have been replaced by a Microsoft Update and maybe that's why it doesn't work anymore.  Check the drivers and see if there is an option to restore the drivers to a previous version (which may be supplied with the system when he worked).  If so, try the restore and see if that solves the problem.  Make sure that it not only reads blu ray disks but can read and burn CDs and DVDs as it should.  If not you can always just reinstall the drivers by unscrewing the restore and restore the drivers who were there before you started this effort and again to confirm that it still works except for playing blu ray discs.

I don't see the point in HP brake a blu ray player that has no driver available for it - I have never actually heard of what happens with a manufacturer or the device installed on the computers they sell.  Someone at HP left dropped the ball big time on this one.  Maybe HP will give you a free exchange to another blu ray player they may have available for your computer making the drivers for it and who actually works like the one bought you is not - it can't hurt to ask.  Check the options first then you can ask to him who is of at least equal quality and is the same price, or maybe a bit more expensive - they can always be arranged because of the problem, they know exists.  I guess that it's still under warranty, so that shouldn't be a problem.  It's an option-, but the decision is yours.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Blu - ray disc player no longer works

I have a laptop Acer 7720 with blu - ray disc player, but the blu - ray disc player has stopped working!  I tried to open it in windows media center, but get the message "blu - ray play disc not installed program".  Acer will not help as they say it is a software problem and I have to pay for their help in this instance.  any other suggestions of "non-monetary"?  Help, please!

    Hello

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary. See below.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries
that the troubleshooter does not, and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good
    Your player registry entries.

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the reader of CD/DVD subkeys of course that he will be
other subkeys in these keys. Be sure to ask specific keys involved as well as the parameters.

  • DVD/Blu-Ray

Hi all, in a month or so I record a show on stage and it would be great to offer a DVD and a Blu - Ray player. I have experience with burning DVDs, even, but I've never done a Blu - Ray player. My question is not how to burn a blu - ray because I don't know that I can understand that, but my question is - easy is it to burn a dvd and blu - ray from the same project again? or is it something where I have to create a completely new project yet. I don't know how all this works because disks are at different resolutions and sizes, and all that. Thank you!

Do not assume that you can burn a Blu - ray. Still has a history of problems with burns, and Blu - Ray were more trouble than DVDs. The common solution is to build a Blu - ray image and burn with ImgBurn (for PC) or toast (for Mac).

Blu - Ray allow some things that the DVD doesn't (context menus, the menus MultiPage, the better resolution/color in the menu highlights). Do not assume that they will work to ensure that test you your workflow.

Still allows you to create Blu - ray and DVD on the inside of the same project. The consensus of the return time was that it often leads to problems. It seems to work for some users. Because iron is different (the size is not so much the problem), a HD menu could cause problems for the DVD.

The safest method was to use separate projects.

Bottom line, test your workflow (using the exact camera models that you will use) well in advance.

  • Question about upgrading to Blu - ray on the S70 Satellite-

I only discovered how easy it is to remove the current DVD on my Satellite S70 writer-(10 seconds) so no problem.

I see that there is a little paw on the back of the writer that allows the writer to be locked in place by the small screw that holds the cover of the HARD/Ramdisk in place

Can I buy a Blu Ray player that has this already mounted pod or I can fit the leg later?

Can someone suggest a Blu Ray player adapted to buy as a direct replacement.

Most of the laptops S70 - A is available with optical drives DVD-multi. Only few of them are provided with 9.5 MM BD - ROM unfortunately, I don't know what model of BD - ROM is exactly.
It is not easy to find information which model can be used on your machine.

I'm not 100% sure but it might be UJ162 UJ-162.

Let's see if someone else can find exact information on this subject.

In any case, in the worst case, you can order it and test it. If there is a problem simply return.

    Hello world

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L855 - 14 p PSKFWE-00U00MTE with Windows 8.1 6.3.966.
After updating my Windows OS 8.1 the blu - ray disc drive has stopped working (error Code-19).

All windows and Toshiba Service Station 6.4.4 are up-to-date (except the file 'The Toshiba Video Player' won't not very far, I installed several times).

    kindly waiting for support.

p.s.: I surfed online and came across the "upper filter registry values" (here's the link). With the help of regeditor.exe I just erased the "upper filter value" (from Hkeylocal machine\systems\currentcontrolset\class). Has nothing else.

Yes, this model confirms that it is not a blue ray player, just an optical drive DVD - RW.
