• Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate will not properly organize under Vista 32 bit SP2

  I have problems to Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate to work on my Dell Vista 32 b sp2 PC. After apparently installed successfully and a 12.1 update download, everytime I try to run it, the Pinnacle splash screen returns to about 70% and a Windows error message said then there was a problem and the studio file has stopped working. There is no additional information or any other message. I installed as administrator and disabled antivirus while doing so. Since then, I installed on a laptop Windows 7 to check that the installation disc is not defective and it works like a dream out there.

  I tried a repair in Vista with the startup disk and uninstalled, corrected the registry and reinstalled but still the same problem.

  So, I think to the settings of Vista on my PC - ideas please?

  I have a card ATI Radeon HD2600XT, the driver was the cause of the problem and, despite the fact that there are later available drivers, I tried a bit and this one works:

• Pinnacle Studio 16 does not load.

  I was running Pinnacle Studio 16 on Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion, h80-1030 (2011 vintage) when I tried to update to Windows 10 and failed.  I've learned since HP does not guarantee the success of an update of Windows 10 on any of their computers more than 2013.  Installation attempt got the download Windows 10 and "is preparing to update" but bombed at the beginning of the installation.  Windows 7 still works on my computer and most (not all) programs I have tested work but Pinnacle Studio 16 is the one who does not.  He gets regarding the bombs and "init database.  How can I get running Windows 7 yet.   I tried to 'fix' programs and features in Control Panel, but it does not work.  Is there a solution to this problem?  Would be to uninstall and reinstall work?

  I realize you are trying to run Pinnacle Studio 16 after a failure of the upgrade of Windows 10. However the failure of the upgrade should not affect any other program running.

  As you have already tried to fix the program, you can try to re - install the program and see if it works. If still you are facing a similar question, you try to install a program I compatibility mode.

  (2) remember to make changes before this problem?

  Method 1:  Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

  This version of the program is not compatible with Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=Pinnacle%20Studio%209.4&page=1.  You must uninstall it before it causes problems with your system and/or other programs.

  Sorry, but to use Pinnacle Studio, you need to buy a newer version which is compatible with Vista.

  I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I installed Pinnacle Studio 14 ultimate test. When the Pinnacle program works-

  a. when I run a WMV file there is no audio data.

  b. when I rang a MPEG 2 file (720 p, 25 frames per second) OR a file m2t, Windows Media Player is not able to read the file and gives the error: "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when reading what he gives.

  c. when I close the program Pinnacle all right and WMP reads all of the above files correctly.

  I also recently installed and uninstalled Corel VideoStudio X 3 of the trial. First Adobe Elements 8 trial is also installed on the PC.

  I would be grateful yuour help solve the problem.

  The Pinnacle program is third party software that is causing the problem to occur. Pinnacle may be in conflict with your music files playing in Windows Media Player, that's why, I suggest you to contact pinnacle and check with them.

  Windows Media Player 12 is probably to use the codecs used by pinnacle, which may be the culprit.

  You can try Compatibility Mode:

  If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

  Use the following steps:

  (1) right click on the program

  2) click Properties

  3) click on the Compatibility tab

  (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

  If compatibility is not successful, then try and self-test program compatibility issues:

  1. open the program compatibility problems theStart button.

Many are free.

  • The problem is specific to this application or a program?

  • What is the error message you get with this application or program?

  If you cannot install this program or this app normally then you can install it in compatibility mode to check if that helps.

  Most of the programs created for earlier versions of Windows work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. You can run the resolution of the problems of compatibility of program on most of the programs to detect and correct common compatibility problems.

I found a different device that is Pinnacle studio moviebox usb ultimate is called. It have the outputs (mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4, avi, dv, mjpeg, divx, wmv, hdv). The connection between the capture device and the computer's IEEE 1394 (firewire).

  What I want to do is to digitilize old VHS tapes and in the future convert clips that have the mpeg4 in my new Sanyo Xacti video out and then get the best video format for use in PE7 (dv - avi?).

  Do you think this device will work as good as you have recommended?

  As you know, we recommend usually the ADS Pyro AV Link or the Canopus products for digital conversion. The advantage of these products is that they capture the video in the DV - AVI, the ideal format for Premiere Elements work with.

  I could not find one card full on Studio Moviebox, other than this page. Apparently this devices with capture MPEG instead of DV - AVI. The rule is that most of the devices that can capture in DV - AVI are connected to your computer by FireWire and not USB.

  (Interestingly, it will capture OF DV - AVI - but it still sends to your computer as an MPEG).

  Pinnacle equipment is usually designed to work with Pinnacle products. So, if you're going to use this device for the capture, I would recommend that you use the software that comes with it for editing.

  But, sorry. Although it MIGHT work, I would not recommend this capture device if you intend to edit with Premiere Elements.

  By the way: you can open the file with another program like VLC media player?
