my dvd - r, says 4.7 GB, but my computer only shows 4.38 GB and won't let me copy a 4.5 GB file on it.

I looked on the internet and I read that dvd - r 4.7 GB of storage space but another way to say that it is 4.38GiB (gibibyte). My problem is that when I try to copy a file of 4.5 GB (specifically, I'm trying to burn a dvd movie), the computer won't let me. the computer confuses the GiB with the Go? If so, how can I solve this problem?

It is 4,707,000,000 bytes, i.e. 4 489 MB or 4.38 GB.

4489 binary megabytes = binary 4,707,000,000 (about 4.7 gigabytes)
