My Firefox says 7.0.1 this is but webpages and Firefox update page say that I use an older version. What is going on?
I have Firefox 7.0.1. It says this in the help-> section of my Firefox. He said: I'm updating. When I navigate to the page of updates online, however, I'm out of date. And some sites, like Pandora, say that I use an older version of Firefox that is not compatible with their Web site. Any help would be appreciated. Google Chrome does not open Java, Firefox does not update, but IE works fine... it's weird how that? What happened to my world?
Your string UserAgent in Firefox is marred by another program you have installed.

If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access this page.

Right click the preferences that are "BOLD", a line at a time, select reset.

I have re-installed 9.01 several times but my home page has not been updated to the new version and there is an error message that I am not using the current version, but if you go to help on firefox it says it's 9.01
It - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Page to start Firefox used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. I think that Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox, as they hard-coded message 'upgrade' in this page - all versions of Firefox see this message.
From version Firefox 4, Firefox uses a 'local' with the address Start Page of Subject: House. It looks like the old start Page, but this isn't exactly the same thing.

I use Firefox 31.0, but Mozilla even says that I use an older version.
I always upgrade to the latest version. Even if I use 31.0 right now, I checked with Mozilla site last night and were made of 'upgrade' again. I did it. Today, now that writing a message in a green button tells me to upgrade. I use Malwarebytes Anti Malware Pro, so I think that's not the problem. I use Yahoo! mail and this has not stopped the new version and only allows me to use Basic. Ad - ons to Firefox grayed out everything that cannot be used with version 10 or greater. Yet "On Firefox" in the menu help watch 31.0 version, latest version.
So, am I stuck with some old cookie that won't erase? I tried to delete them all and that doesn't change anything, although I'm not sure I know that each location where they are stored. The key is that it is a real pain in the ass, because I am limited on other sites as well, because something says I don't have the latest version. If a specific version is listed, you may experience the problem described in this article: sites say that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version.
If the user agent shows it is hidden or partially blocked, or if it is completely absent, you have an extension that modifies or software security/privacy external blocking.

I have aurora firefox, but firefox site it shows that I have an older version.
Some software or malware change your UserAgent string, if you look out you will notice that it displays:
- User agent,
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; El; RV:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 BLNGBAR
You will notice that Firefox includes a search option by default Bling in the at the top of Firefox search bar. Probably anything that causes this isn't that. You will need to find identify and consider deleting the offending software.

I installed Firefox 8.01 (later today), but on my home page, it is still saying 'you are not on the latest version of Firefox. Update today to get the best of the Web! "What gives?
Even if your useragent was OK in Firefox 8.0.1 this old Firefox home page hosted by Google would always give you this message.
The www.google.com/firefox/ was an old used before Firefox 4.0 default home page and is not maintained by Google more. To ignore this message or change your home page to Subject: House if you want even a another page or leave blank for no home page.
Tools-> Options-> general-> home page: where you can change it.

Sites like Pandora and gmail keep telling me that I use an older version of Firefox. So I followed their links to update, download the latest version and run it from my downloaded programs. But it doesn't seem to work as the sites always give me the same message.
Something that you have changed your User Agent or prevents your User Agent to update with the new installation/update of Firefox. I suspect it's Fast Browser Search, which is shown as part of the User Agent. To get rid of Fast Browser Search do the following:
- Closing of Firefox (Firefox button > exit OR File > Exit)
- Open the Windows XP Control Panel and remove/uninstall "Fast Browser search protection" and "Fast Browser Search" (MyWebTatoo)
- See-> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307895

I wonder if these sites are trying to make me download malware or virus. If I go to the Firefox site and it says that I use the most recent version, I think Mozilla tells me and wonder "why a site told me that I have to update? I hope only that Mozilla and not blindly download something without studying. Am I paranoid?
No, it's a scam which is the link to the site, mozilla does not use a site to ask you to update, it uses an automatic update.
You can report it here

For a long time keep saying looks like to your using an older version of Firefox. Several times I tried to install Adobe Flash plug-in, both with Firefox and the Adobe site. I'm on Linux 32-bit, 64 no, details, that I find are for 64 bit.
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/759565
I think that the problem might be here, but I do not see the solution for 32 bit. Looks like only maybe 2 plug-ins? Anyway I need help.
It is a problem with all the extra steps with the question you can imagine. I tried from scratch with Firefox, not working, more like 52 card pick up... if you know this game.
I want a solution if you have a. Thank you.I had the problem solved. Thank you for your help. I had to get help from an engineer, I know. It's fast enough, but it looked like he deleted the old and installed the new and it seemed that perhaps the launch could have the issue? Not exactly, it's almost as if the launch was set for the old version... but don't want to send someone on the cause of the bad way, I don't know, but he later installed to firefox 38.1 or another... the 29. SOLVED. Thank you for taking the time to help. It was frustrating problem.

Firefox updated as I wanted. Now, each I reopen the application is going through the screen of loading/updating before the opening of Firefox. When she opens the Firefox update page loads. I emptied everything (cache, connections, history, etc.). It will not stop. I hesitated uninstalling and reinstalling because it isn't always re - import settings, bookmarks, etc.. Love this browser and all software you provide.
Hello Paul,
You should look at this article on this specific issue and Preferences not savedarticle. It could be a problem of pref.js. It should give you all the information you need!
If this does not work:
- Enter about: config in the address bar
- Click I'll be careful, I promise you if prompted
- In the filter field, type Startup
- Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
- Delete the text string, and then click OK
- Close Firefox and reopen the window to check that it worked.
Hope this helps!

Hey I have a pc and Internet, but when I try to conect with my lightroom iphone say that my pc has no internet what should I do?
Hi jonathan,.
How do you mean that you connect it with your iPhone? This isn't something you need to do for mobile LR.
In LR Mobile, when you import photos into the application, they are synchronized via Adobe Creative Cloud. When you open LR CC on your desktop and connect using the same Adobe ID on the phone, the photos will be automatically syncs down to the office. There is no need to connect the phone to the PC.
