Then, in the BIOS, make sure that the boot order is specified as HDD0 first (as opposed to HDDx where x is greater than zero).

  I googled a bit and it seems that it is really a Toshiba HDD.
  However, for me, this is NOT a malfunction.
  The external HARD disk is connected before starting. So I think that the computer is trying to boot from the external HARD drive and so it freezes.

  You should check the boot order in the BIOS and connect the HARD drive after you start the procedure.
