  Please help, out of nowhere on my screen - background, all icons, all graphics (including the Explorer and other programs) have become rough and pixelated and seem very low qualty even if my display is set to the highest resolution management settings and color. I've not been able to find a way to restore and have no idea why it is doing this in the first place. It's really bothering me, it's hard to read (text appears fuzzy and broken up, not smooth and sharp, icons have white or another pixelation around them and do not have the 'look of glass'.) I was wondering if one of the old games my children changed my settings somewhere but I've lived every control panel I find and have not been able to correct the problem.  Even the buttons (back, forward, refresh, etc.) in Explorer have bad pixelation.   I would also update the drivers, firmware or software for your monitor at the same time.  Also, if you have another monitor, swap them to see if the problem goes away or moves - then we can pretty much reduce the question to the screen and not the video card (and if the updated drivers do not resolve this problem, then it's a hardware problem and you can either take a workshop of computer service repair or simply a replacement of purchase screen.)

• Windows 8 icons disappear all the time

  When I turn on my laptop, my icons appear sometimes, but sometimes they aren't there at all. Also, when I right click and click on display, the "show desktop icons" selection is selected, but nothing appears.   I had this happen to me not too and all sfc/scannow does not work for me.  The problem may be much simpler.

  Just right click on your desktop and change the size of the icons.  As if by magic, they will reappear, then simply change their return to normal size.

  I'm not sure about the memory, but keeping all applications in the dock reduces the execution stack, so it is wise to keep apps in launchpad (you can keep finder and trash in the dock) and also to reduce the size of the icons.

What can be done in addition to the removal of Firefox? (I'm NOT going to install latest Firefox because it is incompatible with KIS).

  You are using a version of Firefox that is very old, please upgrade to the latest version of Firefox updated to the latest version. Kapersky drops support for older versions of Firefox, so if you do not update you may encounter problems in the strange, not to mention many security bugs in older versions of Firefox.

• The send icon is grayed out. This happened after a crash. Tried all the suggested solutions

I downloaded the Firefox installation files and ran a custom implemented, by clicking on upgrade. Firefox now works well with all the Add-ons, bookmarks, history, cookies and saved passwords intact.

  Not only did I lose all bookmarks in the last 5 days, something happened where ALL old bookmarks - and those that I added today are all missing icons.

  The 'old' were in a json file which was a backup. When back FF-no more icons! I tried to make an HTML version of the JSON file, but it has a MOZILLA icon on it and it does not work when I try to use it.

  All they have is a white square dotted autour.

  All NEW bookmarks have NO icons... I don't understand.

  I have WIN XP and Firefox 15.

  I'm NOT techie so any solution please be simple and progressive.

  First of all, make sure that you have bookmarks you make backups and put somewhere safe outside the paths of Firefox (the Windows desktop will do for now) in fact I strongly advice you go further and save the profile Firefox everything at once. See

  • Restore backup bookmarks or move them to another computer

  The immediate priority is securing all bookmarks that you have. It is important to realize that restore bookmarks wiped out existing bookmarks stored internally, and that internal backups of Firefox can cover only a few days.

  You can see the icons come if when you visit a site to bookmark, you click first to unbookmark star and then new bookmark. This isn't a good workaround solution, but at least he is safe and not endanger all bookmarks stored.

  Make backups, then we will try more far from solving the problem of the missing icons.

  How to restore icons on all of my favorites, like today, it's just a long list of sites with no small icons after you install the latest firefox. Bookmark icons, however, are appearing in the window of the browser section and not appearing is not at the top of the bookmark favorite screen section.
