Windows 8 icons disappear all the time
When I turn on my laptop, my icons appear sometimes, but sometimes they aren't there at all. Also, when I right click and click on display, the "show desktop icons" selection is selected, but nothing appears. For this reason, I have to deselect and select re in order to be able to view the icons on my desktop again. It is slightly irritating to do every time, can someone help me with this?
I had this happen to me not too and all sfc/scannow does not work for me. The problem may be much simpler.
Just right click on your desktop and change the size of the icons. As if by magic, they will reappear, then simply change their return to normal size.
Hope this helps.

Standard toolbar disappears all the time
I have DW CS3 version 9 build 3453.
The Standard toolbar, which is not active by default, but can be activated via a left click on one of the bars by default and by the menu selection, disappears all the time repeatedly as "Find and replace", "View in browser" or others. 10 reactivations in 30 minutes are boring. I already reinstalled the program.
Does anyone have the same experience?
Thank you
JMLI assume that you have not read my entire post then because I said:
"To do a good re-installing CS3, it is recommended that you disable programs...". »
And they do not have a live help line. If I were you I disable the program and get it on right.

Why does my toolbar on the bottom suddenly disappear all the time?
The inferior plate which has all my other applications stay in place. My browser is not set to mode full screen. They tend to stay on the bottom.
Sometimes Firefox is confused about the dimensions of the screen and the bottom of its window go behind or in front of the Windows taskbar. The typical 'quick fix' for this is to delete the settings file that lists the wrong size. You have activated the memory of this as clear Firefox toolbars. Here's how:
Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.
Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.
Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?
To activate the different bars on and outside, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, then select the desired bars it:
- Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
- Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
- in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)
To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

Hello!
I am running windows xp sp3, the volume icon disappears from the taskbar on each reboot or shutdown/startup.kindly, help with any permanent solution known.i should go to the control panel and to recover it again whenever I turn my on.kindly advice, someone machine me a solution permanently this problem.i want to stay always on the taskbar the volume icon.
the honest answer is expected... Thank you!Hello
Try this:
Control Panel - device - sounds Manager - note manufacturer device name and info on the graduating model.
Double click and get the date and version of the driver (if 06 are dates, you use the default windows driver). Now
Click the DRIVER UPDATE (this can not find anything because MS is far behind the certification of drivers). Now LAW
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack. Now, go to the manufacturer of the system and recover the last pilot audio/Hi-Fi as a fall.
Download it - SAVE - go to where you put it - RIGHT CLICK top - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT
Now do the same for the manufacturer of the device (the one that made the device - if you were using the default windows
you might need to look in the Device Manager - his new driver).Often, you will need to run the sound card drivers several times to get the latest version installed and will appear in
Manager - Sound. This is because they make back the drivers one at a time and then finally install the
most recent. Look in the Device Manager to be sure that you have installed the version of the driver is the one showing, if not
run the driver again (reset each time) until the shows a correct.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Original title: problems cannot do anything
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can't have__appropriate the permissions to access the item. I get it all the time can not download anything
Hi birdylod,
· What version of the operating system is installed on the computer?
· You did changes to the computer before the show?
· You use Internet Explorer? If so, what version are you using?
· What files you download?
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Method 2: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.
Startup options (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.
Method 3: Scan the file system (CFS) auditor to repair corrupted files.

I have a window pop up on my computer all the time called "debug".
I ran all the virus checking options available on the security of Microsofts site and I keep the Microsoft Security Essentials on all the time - I even uninstalled and reinstalled to double check but nothing takes away the "Debug" window
Does anyone know what is causing the "debug" window pop up and how can I stop from occurring?
Thank you very much
DW
Hi Donna,.
We will see if it is caused by something starting at startup or with some drivers.
Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.
Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here. A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

A hard drive the HP dv2915nr laptop was dead. Installed a new hard drive and use the HP recovery CD. installs for 4 hours and then stops: Windows could not complete installation. Please re - install Windows again. Each facility is 4 hours. Because another install and it took 4 hours and then it restarts and stop at the same error. Now, I'm administrator (locked) - turn off when I pop in the recovery CD. Message: Your account has been disabled. Please, see your system administrator. I tried Safe Mode and loading Windows files stops at crcdisk.sys all the time and then restarts and displays: Windows could not complete installation. Please install again. Can't go in the office. Only restarts with these messages. Asked HP cat (3) Tech people and they do not have the answer. Said, could be a compatibility issue with the software. I ordered this CD of recovery on their part and he got yesterday. Now, they send in the laptop. So tried advice here. Please notify.
I found the answer. HP Tech Support Chat did not know the answer. When you run HP recovery CD, don't hit the restart WINDOWS button when it asks. The software will do it for you automatically. It will take a while (several hours 1-6 hours) to complete. You'll know it's done when WINDOWS ask you information of language, country and keyboard. In other words, don't touch anything once you start the restore CD program. Leave it alone and it will fix it for you. IGNORE the pop-up restart.
I can't believe HP has not even tell me that and 3 chat sessions with them was a waste of time. Last HP person ask me to send in the RECOVERY CD and the laptop.
No help from anyone on this issue. :(
BUT I thought about it. :)

Hello
Use the startup clean and other methods to try to determine the cause of and/or
eliminate problems.---------------------------------------------------------------
References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.
What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Include
everything you've ALWAYS had on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they
remains of leave behind which can cause strange problems).----------------------------------------------------
Follow these steps:
Try these to erase corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.
Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
you have. Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
Site of the manufacturer here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
REBOOT after each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htmInstallation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
and device manufacturers are located)
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.htmlIf you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
you want.Stop Windows 7 to automatically install device drivers

I installed the oracle11g and configured the SQL Developer minor and the data correctly, but when I run a workflow, the window 'departure' appears all the time, can't walk in the phase of runing and also can not stop. For now, the only thing I can do is to kill the program in the Windows operating system.
Sometimes, when I kill the program and restart and restart run the workflow, it may be normal.
So, I would like to know why and how to sovle it?
Yes, there is a simple solution:
"To ensure that Workflow tasks Data Miner is visible in your user interface".
It is the window that displays the list of workflows that were run during the last day, and also all workflows running active and their completion percentage.
If this window is visible, if it is not blocked from viewing by another tab, then you will avoid your problem.
If you do not see the window tasks of Workflow Data Miner at all, then go to the menu: Tools-> Data Miner-> make it Visible. That should it appears in your user interface, then you should just make sure that it is fully visible.
SQL Dev 4.0 final version will be released soon, it will be difficult, so this problem is no longer a problem.
Thank you, Mark
