My internal Webcam does not work (Windows 8 / PB Easynote) * help *.

I have a TE Packard Bell's Easynote running on Windows 8. It has built in webcam (a generic unit named WeCam HD). But right out of the box, whenever I run an application that needs to use the webcam, it says "no device detected Webcam. If you are using a built-in camera please turn on"or other similar term. There is absolutely nothing in the user guide/documentation to explain how to do this.

I went a little further and checked the Device Manager and there are the most recent drivers for this device all present and correct. And in some ways to make worse it, most of the time it doesn't work and it just worked last week. My son took a load of pictures of himself using the webcam internal to give me a new nice screen saver (red led light has been released top the camera was on and work) so I know that he has the opportunity to work. It's not fair. We tried to retrace his steps I guess all that I need is a key command to move the camera power switch (there is no way to access the device that I can find in windows 8). I tried fn & the keys function, Alt or Alt GR and the function keys, the windows key and all the keyboard shortcuts I know, but nothing seems to work. Please is - can someone help or give advice. It drives me crazy

I think that I finally discovered it. Well, it seems to be correct.

When you launch the video camera app or app camera for the first time as long as the laptop screen is far enough back the laptop recognizes the webcam and it turns on automatically,

If you run the application with the screen in an 'L' (side view), then it does not work, it does not recognize the webcam. But if tilt you the screen a bit more far back it seems to work.

Crazy. But maybe theres an internal sensor or something. Well now worked two times...

unless it's just a loss connection internal as Douglas says. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that this new crazy method continues to work. If that's all, that's when I'll eat my hat. I've seriously been pulling my hair out over this. Looking at / installation of hardware drivers. Research and try millions of combinations of different keys. Trawling through information about Windows 8 & webcams. And it turns out that, if all goes well, it's just something simple like this...

    Your laptop seems to be an Australian series of Toshiba.

    Have you installed another Win 7 on this laptop or are you using the system preinstalled by Toshiba?

    If the webcam is not listed in the device, as an unknown device, or as a Device Manager to imagine, then that would mean that the material was not recognized by the system, that means that there is a connection hurt tight between the webcam and the motherboard or the webcam is defective.

    Looking at your system information, you may have one of two possible audio cards:

    Conexant HD audio or the RealTek HD Audio

    The fact that you could not install the RealTek HD audio driver tells me that you don't have a sound card RealTek. Check your device manager and look at your sound card and check what sound card you have.

    The BIOS usually contain an option to enable and disable the internal webcam.
    Go to the BIOS by pressing F2 and then check if the webcam is enabled.

    the built-in on my Satellite T130 webcam does not work.

    I use Windows 7 Home Premium and already reinstalled the drivers of webcam 64-bit through this Web site. However, when I click on the webcam application, simply, nothing happens - program doesn't open at all or turn off instantly. Skype is not also acknowledge a cam.     Maybe it's the webcam from the webcam is connected to the internal USB controller on the motherboard.

    It looks like a webcam driver is not installed correctly.
    Try the webcam driver released for the satellite t230 or other series of satellites.
    Versions are newer

    Also recommend that you check the BIOS settings.
    In some cases, the BIOS contains a webcam option where the webcam can be turned on and off.

    What happens if you connect the webcam to the laptop? Can win 7 recognize the device? Have you installed additional drivers for this webcam?
