My laptop is one of the 4 home cannot connect to the internet, it's Vista and it has connected w/Ethernet no problem, I called Xfinity tech, that says, is the problem of configuration! Can you help me?

Acer laptop, Vista is, she can connect wirelessly with my friend modem but my house, she can't, I use the service of Comcast, they checked the modem is fine, they think that the problem of configuration! I'm not computer too, thank you!
