  • LifeCam HD-5001 will not install

I have similar problems as the others.  I installed my webcam 5001 and Lifecam software.  Halfway through, I told plug in the camera.  After I did Windows recognizes the new hardware and continued to install the drivers.  LifeCam completed installation.  Then a window pops up saying that the pilots could not be installed because the required line was not found in the INF file.  When I opened Lifecam it says there is no camera connected.  When using Skype or Messenger seeing Live to power the cams would come on but no picture.  After several attempts to install different, still the same problem.  I uninstalled Lifecam.  When I went to Skype then I got the video.  The microphone does not work well.  Same thing on Live Messenger.  I went to the Device Manager and found the webcam listed in 2 places.  A location was in imaging devices.  When I open it says the cam was working properly... all the drivers installed.  The other location has something not normally.  It's other devices.  The cam is listed there and that's where it says that it does not.  I tried to remove the cam, turn it off but it is not serious, the Lifecam software never accesses the camera and other services prevents access.  Any ideas would be useful.  I downloaded the latest version of the Lifecam software and firmware updates with the same results.  In the error window that says: "the required line is not found in the INF" there is a "speaker" icon.  Not sure if this is indicating a specific or no problem.  I have a gateway computer, do not know what brand motherboard.  It has no built-in sound and video.  The processor is an AMD quad core 9100 rated 1.8 GHz.

I gave up the webcam.  It'll probably work whenevwer I update to Windows 7.  Thanks for the help.  Sorry, we couldn't find a solution.

  • New: Wizard of e/s not installed correctly.

I run LV 8.6 and MAX 4.5 (XP, SP3, AMD64x2-6 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 3 TB HARD drive).

    LV works perfectly.

However, I run into the same problem in the past when you try to run the Deputy express.vi of io ("MAX or Instrument I/O Assistant not installed correctly. Install from CD driver LV '),

I installed the CD of drivers of LV (the 1-2-3 March 2008 version, it should work, it did in the past).

But at present no Assistant IO shows upward.

Then, I downloaded separately and installed the driver again I have O-Assistant, but without success.

I remember the past, I encountered this same problem has been resolved one way or another, but I did not document how.

    Help is appreciated.

    Hello Reteb1,

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the e/s assistant. One thing what could happen, it's the driver installed itself but the Application Programming Interface (API), itself not. You have the VISA Office in your palette of functions? Or is there none of the functions of the i/o device available?

Then we can check if available in the national folder vi.lib (xx\vi.lib instruments\labview) InstrIOAsst folder or the folder instr is available?

If they are, we can try to fix the driver via the windows control panel. If they are not; Please run Setup again and check if the API of Labview 8.5 has been selected; You can also consider using a newer driver; OR VISA 4.6 .

Please let me know if there are other problems.

    Best regards

  • Instrument i/o Assistant not installed correctly

I have been troubleshooting this problem for over 2 weeks now and every response to this question that has found success, I tried, but could not solve the problem.

in labView, double by selecting the wizard of IO, it reads the infamous

    «I/o Assistant not installed correctly or...» »

I downloaded the latest Driver NI-VISA 5.1.3 (or), OR-488. 2. in order to install the driver NI-VISA, I needed to find a framework .net 4.0 & Visual Studios 2003 or better.  After this failure, I downloaded the DCD_AUG12_1 & 2_Downloaders.  After this fails he left consider me if my machine or equipment is the problem, or if the software is simply unable to support these features.

    My Information System includes

    Windows XP 32 bit

    Drivers include:

    8757d

    Agilent 34401

    HP8753x

    Connection attempt:

    Ethernet GPIB

At the launch of labView, you receive an error

"The web server cannot start.  Is the Web server port already in use...

.. ".labView network address is in use.

When you try to communicate with the machine connected to my computer, I can write, however I can't read from which request information from her.  Very well, AND says its connected.

Finally my NOR is 2005 and Labview 8.0

I am quite a novice in this equipment and technology.  So if there are any specific details that I should add, please let me know and I will update the post to include such details.

    RxTx,

It seems that you may have in fact too new of a version of VISA. See the following article to the KnowlegdeBase for more information on what version you need:
    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/E7C93038169B6E7686257847004B8B9C

It seems that VISA 4.3 is the new version, you can have for your version of LabVIEW.

Let me know if that solves the problem!

    Thank you

  • Windows Media Player is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drive.

I am running XP Home and WMP v11. I get the following message when I try and play some files: "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drive.

In the past I had to go back to WMP 10 to 9 and reinstall when this happened, but when I triedthis method , this time it did not work and said that he could not uninstall.

The songs have played fine on WMP in the past and they are the ones I've owned for years rather than months.

I can't think that I changed something on the PC to save this change, but clearly I.

    Any ideas?

When I try to install Windows Media Player from the Microsoft website I gives me an error saying I need to download "Update cumulative 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition". Once I have download, I get a different error message indicating that I have to download '.NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.2 SP1' before I can continue with the update for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I download that and received a message that is not a valid Win32 application. I can not understand what is happening or how to fix it. • Media Player not installed correctly

Downloaded two WMA audiobooks and not able to listen to them via WMP nor able to transfer them to the iPOD.  Tells me that I need to update WMP security.  As he tried to update WMP security via the Overdrive Media Console software, I thought WMP not installed correctly.  Using XP and WMP 11.  Saved on WMP 11 from WMP 9 and reinstalled twice.  No luck.  Tried to rename the DRM folder and then trying to new security update.  No luck.

Thank you for your quick response.

Before receiving your response, I was able to solve the problem.  Here's what I did:

    (1) I deleted the two audiobook downloads from Overdrive Media Console software.

    (2) in the Panel, I removed WMP 11 and also removed Windows Media Format 11 Runtime (I did not remove this second program in my first two attempts to re - install WMP 11).

    (3) I have reinstalled WMP 11 on the microsoft.com Web site.

    (4) I launched the Overdrive Media Console software and selected > tools > Windows Media Player Security Upgrade.  This time, it worked as expected.

    (5) I have re-uploaded my two books.

I'm now able to listen to the audio books on WMP 11 and transferred successfully to my iPOD.
