my mac pro is totally slow download
I'm going with this problem for the last three days: when you try to access some pages to navigate or read my computer is extremely slow and some of my email comes out as of codes or who knows. Help, pleas
I have no idea, based on your post. Something is indeed wrong.
1. Please help me by giving more information: download the Etrecheck of www.etrecheck.com : run it, it produces a list, when the list is ready, post it here.
2. a wild guess: you have been infected by adware: download app Malwarebytes' from https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/
install and run the scan. This app does not protect you, but it removes infections.

I bought this computer on ebay in December because I heard it was quiet and the specifications were great compared to my old PC (8 cores, 32 GB of ram, 2 TB). In recent months its been getting slower and slower. I continued to get the beachball for long periods of time and in the last month often have to stop the Tower computer often. 2 weeks ago, that I turned it off because he was stuck and would not come back. It was just a white screen. I paid a guy and he did something and it works again but it of still slow and stop often. Also my Final Cut Pro is having a lot of problems. I got the computer specifically because he had this because I am a creator of video content.
Today, the computer stopped FCP 3 times and will not allow me to make changes or stops. I restarted the computer and am only using the internet and I always get the constant beachball. It takes forever to even google anything. I'm afraid that it will close again I made an EtreCheck. Based on another THIS I guess I need a new hard drive. I wonder if there is anything else wrong with her. I tried a new hard drive but my current is 2 hard drives, I think, but I just want to buy 1 large and install it myself. If please look over my characteristics EtreCheck and let me know what happens. I'm new to Mac.

Problem: Beachballing
Description:
My computer is super slow and it's a very powerful computer. I am constantly seeing the beachball and my FCP X crashes while I am editing. My computer says that my ram is being used and I'm only using the internet. Even Googling something takes a lot of time. My computer turns off 2 weeks ago and someone is successful and came to do come back so I can use it but it is so slow, I think it will never happen. What is my computer busy doing?

Can I load CS online on my mac pro? have
The cool thing about CC, it's that you have Mac and PC. Instead of a serial number, you just sign in with your Adobe ID and password and you're good to go.
So, go on your Mac, open Safari, go to Adobe.com and download the CC for Mac desktop application. There you can manage your downloads.
Download Adobe Creative cloud apps | Free trial of Adobe CC

Mac Pro running very slow after El Capitan install

Mac pro 2008 to slow down, or may not start, but starting in safe mode
HI dudes. I have a Mac pro 2008 with yosemite.
I can't boot into normal mode, but it's ok in safe mode.
I changed the hd, do a clean install, but still the same.
Sometimes (days), it starts up fine, but the other days not, or if it boot is so sloooowww if a type of something, maybe 7 characters, it takes about 30 seconds to display on the screen.
I'm putting a radeon hd 4890 to see if the problem is the graph (due to the fact that the mac works fine in safe mode) now my graphics card is ati 2600 256 MB
I don't know what to try next, I'm desperate
PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Spain.
Yes, could be a bad graphics card.
I would also like to run Apple Hardware Test
Using Apple Hardware Test - Apple Support
you will need one of the original disks supplied with the Mac

I bought a new Mac Pro 2015 and cannot download my CS5... ?
A week ago, I finally got a new 15 "Macbook Pro retina and I LOVE IT.
My old Mac crashed some time ago and I've been saving up for a new. I'm a graphic designer and unfortunately lost all of my work that I didn't return,
including Adobe.
But, I have Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, bridge) on a CD.
Now, the new Macs have a reader of CD Insert (did not notice until I tried to install it).
So, I went and spent $90 on a USB CD Super drive. Equip the installation of Adobe CD and boom... He said what OS X does not support Microsoft...
OK, so HOW the HELL I INSTALL ADOBE PROGRAMS?
Come on, Mac. Anticipate correctly. I have Microsoft software on both CD and what know you...
Has not been supported.
So, to spend 2100,00 total on this shit and not get what I NEED, I need answers now and help get my Adobe programs on my new mac.
Thank you

Hope this will help you.

Why Mac Pro is slow at the opening of the apps?
Compare to the other mac, my mac pro is so slow at the opening of the apps and any other use. Memory is 4 GB and still half store is available. This place since the case open. But other Mac that we have in the House so different from mine. Should I call it Karma? Next to no where my CD player does not read any CD more. If original or a cheap it is not serious. Additionally CDs can only release by restarting my mac.
Mac Pro 13 inch Mid 2012
I5 2.5 GHz
4G
Macintosh HD
CPWMJ7Y5DTY3
500 G (280 G available storage) storage
Should I upgrade my ram from 8 G to get faster in opening applications, using Microsoft Office, gaming, etc.?
Should I change my CD player? (If I have it is so so so expensive being honest).

Mac Pro, Flash Storage, Dropbox, and external storage Solutions
I am considering a Mac Pro to a computer in the enterprise. I hope someone can give an overview and experience with the dilemma of using a computer with a small amount of storage on board, dropbox and external storage devices.
Background:
Mac Pro storage on board - The Mac Pro has limited onboard storage. It comes with a 256 k flash memory and is apparently expandable to 512 or 1 TB. But, I can not even know where to buy the storage upgrade. For some reason, it seems even to be available for purchase on Apple's site. I can't understand how much it costs or where to buy it. I found a link showing how to install it, but that's all.
Dropbox - Dropbox is an important part of the company, or at least my business. The tricky thing is that Dropbox doesn't seem to work very well if this does not work on an operating system main hard drive. I tried once on a Mac Mini Server, and it does not work well. I read on the Dropbox site that it doesn't work so well. The small amount of storage on board available for the Mac Pro means that it is necessary to use an external drive, which is fine with me, with the exception of the question of Dropbox. Is anyone here from an experience with this problem.
External storage - the question here is as stated above. How to get an external drive on a Mac Pro, the operating system is not installed on, to work properly. I know that most people could read this and suggest to go to the website of Dropbox support for more information. I was able to do that and have nothing. Looking for Mac people who could potentially experience.
In short, how the hell you upgrade Mac Pro flash storage... where do you get, and how much it costs? And second, anyone experience using Dropbox on a Mac Pro, where the Dropbox folder is not located on the operating system drive.
Thanks for any help that can be provided.
-Apple does not sell to replace internal storage.
-You can often find storage on eBay and other places. However, isn't that all in storage for some MacBook Pro model will work in the Mac Pro is much slower. One way to tell is that the MacBook you do not have a heatsink on them while the Mac Pro.
-You can buy external storage Thunderbolt. To access only a disc both an external case USB 3/disc is about as fast as Thunderbolt. Can get pregnant using the portable 2 1/2 standard SSD
-I did not all the posts here for the use of DB on an external drive.

Best Mac Pro Configuration for LR?
For various reasons, I'm planning on migrating from my home desktop pc (4 years core2 2.4 ghz xp pro sp 3 32-bit to access the 2.93 on 4 GB of ram) to a new or (slightly used recently) Mac Pro desktop computer. The Mac Pro is available in many different configurations and I would appreciate advice on the number of cores and the amount of ram I really need to run comfortably LR3x and its upgrades (within reasonable limits) and the PS3 for now and more later probably all that is underway. I'm a reasonably advanced amateur photographer. I shoot what interests me and now use LR 90-95% of my post processing of my image of Leica and Canon raw files. I use some add-ons (SilverEfex Pro2 and others).
I understand some articles read too much muscle in the Mac Pro can actually slow down LR, so if this is the case I would stay slim; also economic issues are somewhat a matter of concern.
I have already considered a laptop or an iMac and decided that the Mac Pro is what I want. The question is just "what will work best for me?
Thanks in advance and if you want more information, just make me know.
-Bob
p.s. - What is disabled in this Forum search function? I couldn't make it work.
@ Bob: I think you might have acquired some misinformation somewhere. There is no such thing as "too much muscle" in a Mac Pro in relation to Lightroom - or any other program. OS X allocates resources to applications as they need. Unused resources remain inactive or are used by other applications.
Adobe posts the minimum requirements for their applications, but these should be just taken as a starting point. In my opinion you should buy the best Mac Pro can manage your budget - and maybe a little more. The computer is an investment, after all, not a luxury. That said, you need to run Lightroom efficiently and Jay what to do video editing are not necessarily the same. For video rendering more hearts are better. For Lightroom, the question of the number of processor cores is less critical. Whereas, to speed the CPU is more relevant. For both, the amount of RAM can make a big difference.
I recommend as a starting point, at least a Mac Pro quad-core with 4 GB of RAM. That would make if you were watching an iMac as well.
I understand, however, looking at the current line-up of Mac Pro how can be confusing. The plu Nehalem powered Mac Pros look faster for less money, but now it is old technology. The new Intel Westmere processors offers significant improvements in performance. Unfortunately, they are also much more expensive than any upgrade Mac CPU previous. But if you want to 'future proof' your new Mac, one with a Westmere CPU is the best way to go. Model of 8 cores with Jay seems to be the best value, with two quadruple-heart 2.4 GHz CPU of Westmere. However, for only $200 more you can get the 6 base 3.33 GHz CPU Westmere. For the purpose of Lightroom, the fastest CPU Model 6 main more of a difference that the two additional cores will be in the version of 8 basis. And the version of the 6 core will take care of any multitasking job you throw at it; She, using Lightroom together with Adobe Photoshop, for example.
To scramble a bit more, however, if the use of Lightroom is your main concern, a Mac Pro can be exaggerated. The new iMacs, which came out since you started this thread, are excellent machines. You could get much more for your money with a 27 "iMac, BTO with a quad-core 3.3 GHz Intel Sandy Bridge CPU, 8 GB of RAM and a hard disk of 2 TB for about $1000 less than the Mac Pro that you look. With a compatible computer, you get a screen wonderful 27 "on the iMac. I don't know why you think you need the Mac Pro. The iMac can now draw up to 16 GB of RAM. If you were to get one with 8 GB factory installed by Apple - as a BTO option - it would be still two empty slots of RAM available for a future upgrade. You could add an SSD to the iMac and always pay less than you would for the Mac Pro.
And the new iMacs have a Thunderbolt port; Indeed, 27 "models have two ports Thunderbolt. These offer much better results and greater flexibility than any previous i/o connection. With a suitable adapter, you can use any device external, including eSATA, FireWire 400 and 800, USB 1, 2 and 3 and even Ethernet and an external monitor. Sure, the iMac has still four USB 2 ports and a Firewire 800 port and a slot for SDXC memory card. For what it may be, I suggest you only give the iMac another look. Your budget will thank you.

For the second time in a year, my 'Contacts' times of 500 entires to 20,000. One card has become 5 to 15 each. How? Why?
24 hours later, I have an address book * *.abbu backup file cleaned up and ready for download. My Mac Pro (Mac OS 10.7.5) uses address book version 6.1.3 (1091), "Enable this account" is checked in the preferences for access iCloud. When the box is unchecked, all contacts disappear.
iCloud does not see my Mac Pro as a device, but the Mac Pro did see the iCloud, and I looked on all my devices I deleted all contacts and groups and finally all address books were empty, and no duplicate is possible. Then, I loaded the back up on top of the mac Pro, iCloud on. The Mac Pro is good looks. But the (OS 9.3.2) iTouch and iPhone 5 (OS 9.3.3) does not download the fixed file 'Contacts' downloaded from the Mac Pro. The 'Contacts' database fixed or not download to the iCloud of Mac Pro, or is not readable on other devices. And the Mac Pro is not recognized as a device when connected to iCloud.com and looking devices, but the iTouch and iPhone.
I spent 24 hours in a row trying to solve this problem. I have run out of time and patience. And I can't find an answer to this anywhere!
Help, please.
Please, I beg you.
