  • IMovie on Macbook Pro 15 GAL

    Hi guys,.

mainly I use the Macbook Pro to the program with MATLAB, Eclipse, etc. (for this I bought the Macbook Pro 15 retina without discrete GPU), so I've never used iMovie to create the clip, etc. but only today I used it to create a small Assembly with a 4 K video and I noticed that if I look at the video with Quick Time is very smooth instead If I look at the video with iMovie preview video shift and during file conversion the fan goes to the maximum value and the portable computer becames a little laggy. Does anyone have the same problem? Or all this is normal?

    Thanks in advance,

    Niccolò

When you preview an iMovie project must apply all the changes you did in real time which is very intensive, especially with 4K video processor as your quick show of the fans running.  When you share the project all of these changes are going to be "baked in" the file obtained and play, like to play the original in a display of movie videos as Quicktime player will be much less processor intensive.  So I would say that some "lag" or "stutter" is not unexpected - it depends on many factors and even the fastest Mac it will show sometimes.

  • Download free iMovie on macbook pro?

I need iMovie on my new macbook pro, how can I get for free?

No, it must be purchased from the App Store.

iMovie requires a Mac running OS X 10.11.2 or later version.

  • Is it possible to rotate the two iMovie 9 and 10 of the same MacBook Pro?

    Hi all

Please be gentle with me; I have only just joined the community.

I have an Apple MacBook Pro 2015 running OS X El Capitan; I used iMovie 10.1.1 and have already fallen on its limits.

I would like to export to Quicktime so I can have more control over the settings (fps / sound, etc.) of my videos created with 10.1.1 before posting on You Tube, but can do with 10.1.1. I would like to download 9.0.9 and have both versions on my Mac (I understand that you can have both on the same machine) and you can / export to QuickTime with 9.0.9 share.

I tried to download from the official website of Apple but encounter the following:

"This update has no need to be installed. A new version of iMovie is already installed"

It is no possible to navigate around this alert.

Is it possible to have the two 9 and 10 on the same Mac, iMovie as 9 has never been installed on it, and if yes, how does one?

    Thanks in advance!

    J0hnst0n00

What you propose, it's really not the way to accomplish what you want to do. iMovie 9.0.9 is not available on the App Store and can be purchased as part of the package iLife online from a third party like Amazon. Also, it is not completely compatible with El Capitan. Certainly not the right approach. I suggest you get MPEG Streamclip against 5 squared, which is downloadable for free. Share your iMovie project to file that will give you a MP4 file. Open in Streamclip and you can save as a Quicktime movie. It has a complete set of options, including the choice of codec, rate, etc. to image size.

  • I can't find iMovie on my MacBook Pro.

    Hello

    I have a macbook pro mid-2014

I can't find iMovie on it.

I looked in the folder of the application and also performed a search in the finder

I downloaded the version 9.0.1 and 9.0.9 from the Web site, while trying to install all of them, I had this massage:

iMovie 9.0 or later version is required to install this update.

I couldn't find iMovie 9.0 on the website or on my mac

    plaese advise

"I downloaded the version 9.0.1 and 9.0.9 from the Web site.

Here are a few updates, you must have the application, as says the message.  I have 9 film was provided as part of iLife 11 on a DVD.  Copies are still available on Amazon, but note that iMovie 9 will not work properly if you update the operating system to El Capitan.

A mac to mid-2014 would come with iMovie 10.0.  If you go to the App Store and log in with the Apple ID used when the new Mac has been implemented you should find iMovie 10 under purchases and be able to download it again for free.  If you are not the original owner of the Mac, you can buy iMovie 10.1.1 on the App Store.

  • Why not download and install free iMovie and other sw apple for my macbook pro?

    Hi all

Anyone know why I can't install Pages, Numbers, Garageband, iMovie, and Keynote on my MacBook Pro? I had to format my HARD drive, so I installed OS own El Capitan...

    Thank you

Edit: AppStore wants payment for these programs, but they should be free...

Why should they be free? They are only free if you have a device purchased the or after October 16, 2014

If your device complies with this qualification, go on the App Store, signed on the account that you used when you purchased the computer, then click on "Buy" tab

The apps will see here and say you to the "accept." If this is not the case, contact Apple by using their program, which is supposed to be filed within the first 30 days of purchase.

How to free download of iMovie because MacBook Pro is supposed to be free, but I'm not. pls help

You can download the latest version of iMovie for free only if you already have iMovie 9 joined to your Apple ID.  It comes free with new Macs to the first owner.

  • Update of the Macbook Pro 13 inch i7 (mid-2012) worm.

    Dear Apple community

    Greetings,

I would like to know your opinion about the upgrade to the Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) i7 2.9 worm. by the following:

    1. replace the stock HARD 750 GB to a Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1 TB drive in the link below

    cm_cr_pr_product_top http://www.Amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-am/DP/B00OAJ412U/Ref=? ie = UTF8

    2. replace the stock RAM memory which is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in the link below

    http://www.Amazon.com/crucial-DDR3L-1600-PC3-12800-CT2K8G3S160BM-CT2C8G3S160BM/d p/B008LTBJFW/ref = sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1450...

I know that apple says that 8GB is the maximum RAM.

is it OK to do? ? (System and stability not wise not hardware wise)

will I have problems with the system after the upgrade? ?

I had done a lot of research about this, but am not sure yet.

    your help is highly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

I would avoid the Samsung SSD.  If you analyze these forums, many users have experienced difficulties with the Samsung SSD.  (Some are not)  Note that Samsung is unable to talk about Mac compatibility on their web site.  I think what to say.

I can recommend Crucial SSD based on my experience in the installation of three of them in my Mbps.   OWC SSDS have an excellent reputation.

I support the Crucial RAM.  I have 16 GB of Crucial RAM installed in two of my Mbps.  16 GB of RAM should present no problems for your MBP.  OWC is also a great salesman of RAM Mac compatible.

    Ciao.

What do you see in the activity monitor to suggest that the RAM is fine?

The EtreCheck report shows that you have only 33MB of free RAM in time, which can only cause slowdowns. Google Chrome only takes 1.3 GB of it. Chrome is a Devourer of enormous resources, so if possible, try to quit smoking by using another browser.

  • MacBook Pro gets really hot when you run several programs

  • MacBook Pro 13 inch 2015 overheating new

Hey everyone, I have this problem with my Macbook Pro.

I had the Mac for 7 months, but since I bought it I had overheating problems.

    Data sheet:

    Intel Core i5 2.7 GHz

    256 GB SSD

    8 GB Ram

    Intel Iris 6100 GPU

The problem is noticeable when you play (i.e. Limbo) and even using iMovie. The fans make such a noise and I almost burned my fingers typing, once! MacBook Pro are hot? He should get a little hot when doing some intensive hard work but not that! I left a 4-year-old i3, laptop HD 4000 who could handle any task not performing or heating problems. A brand new computer (which I don't use that much) with the best record must manage much better work.

What I can do, or should I get the service? (I also bought insurance for 3 years)

Reset the SMC. Choose the method for "on Mac Laptops with non-removable battery.

  • MacBook pro 13 "rankles more

I have a MacBook Pro (13 inch, mid-2012), 2.9 ghz processor intel core i7, 8 GB of memory, graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB.  I upgraded OS to X EL Capitan 10.11.5 worm (15F34), two weeks back. Since then, my laptop gets overheated in a min when I start watching any video. Help, please!

You may have an incompatible third-party software installed. See Runaway applications can shorten the battery life, affect performance and increase thermal activity and the fan.

Well that watching videos normally insists on the processors of the computer should not receive much more hotter than 90-95 ºC. But to find that you will need software that displays temperatures. You could try this free.

  • Should I get a Macbook Pro or an iPad Pro to use for the next two years while I do my A-Levels?

    Hi all!

So I am currently doing my GCSE, I'm looking to my future at school aka Sixth Form (A-Levels). I won't be carrying massive files that weigh tons and can easily broken / lost files kept in the breast, as do the current year. However, I checked with my school and they say that you can use the technology as an alternative. Instantly I thought to Apple, since I love their products and buy regular. I have a Apple Watch, 6 s iPhone and an iPad 2 Air (we sell) but I want something new and powerful, I can use for Sixth Form.

So my question is, should I get a Macbook (any model) or a Pro iPad with accessories?

    I take:

Technical design - so should run CAD, Word, be fundamentally powerful and able to have sketches.

Media Studies - must be able to manage several videos 4K and execution of things such as Word, books, and iMovie.

Geography-Easy access to the internet anywhere, possibility to draw diagrams and just to run applications etc and be good at watching documentaries, etc.

Mathematics - internet access and video on good quality, easily be able to write notes and information.

So which one should I buy? Please can you help me

Given your needs, a MacBook Pro seems to be more appropriate.
