  • Equium A60-155 has stopped charging the battery

    Hey all
    Can anyone help?

For no apparent reason my A60 has stopped charging the battery, it works very well with the cord in but take out and matrices of the computer. Energy saving says that it does not load but defaults to full power with the power cord in. I tried to remove the battery for a while and change the power settings, but nothing helped. This happened to someone else? I have to buy a new battery?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

To me, this looks like a charging problem and it can be caused by power supply to electronic malfunction. Perhaps only the battery is dead. However the best solution is to contact the Toshiba service partner because he can start the diagnostic test and then give you an appropriate response.

  • Do not charge the battery Lenovo B40

One day using my laptop, my laptop battery was empty so I plugged it. But the battery was not charging. I changed the plug point thinking there was a problem with the plug, but it didn't always work. I removed the battery, it reintroduced and tried to upload again but the is still a problem.

Then I removed my battery and plugged into the laptop. The laptop was working fine.

Keep the laptop plugged in (closed laptop) and reinsert the battery. The battery charged for awhile, then the power button / stop and power (at the front on the edge of the body) light started to blink. Therefore, I removed my battery.

So now, I charge my battery to first plug in the laptop (battery removed) and then reinsert the battery. The poblem flashing occurs very often.

Also when the battery is attached to the laptop and I'm trying to load only the laptop does powers in place.

    Model: Lenovo B40

The problem has been resolved. There was the problem of the motherboard.

  • Charaging the battery while working

    Hello

I have a T520 with a battery 9 cells and I want to know everything worth knowing about how can I keep the battery in the healthiest condition possible:

I learned from his guides (T520 pdf, which are many... I don't really have the time to read all the) it is better to use the battery until it completely discharge then charge to 100% again and so on. also, I realized that if I am connected to the AC a lot (which means that I am in my room or anywhere not to use the portability of a laptop computer) it is best to disconnect the battery between 30-60% and put it in a normal environment (dry and not very high temp).

you have more tips I should know?

and more specifically: is it okay to charge the battery while I work on the laptop?

so far I tried of angrrr while the laptop is off, but I see that it isn't working-it's difficult to synchronize between my tasks and load

    Thanks in advance

    (1) it is probably best that you keep the battery in the laptop for two reasons,

    (2) there was no reason why charge the battery while working will cause problems if you use the adapter supplied with your thinkpad.

If you want to optimize your battery, then take a look at this guide.

If he ordered the laptop with the battery 9 cells, he should have with the 90 Watt adapter.

  • Acer aspire 5740-6378 will no longer charge the battery under Windows 7

The title sums it up.  I have a new computer that beginning yesterday will not charge the battery.  I didn't have problems with battery or power systems before that.

    * original title - (sector, do not load) with 21% of battery. It has been so for 24 hours after several reboots. It is a 2 month old acer aspire 5740-6378. Is there a way to reset the power control software? So far, he has played very well.*

Managed to find a solution that worked for me.   I write this to help those who like me have sought a forum where this problem has been fixed.  I sent to acer tech support and they finally gave me this procedure:

Could you please go through the following steps to perform a power drain: 1. unplug the adapter from the laptop. 2. remove the battery. 3. press in and hold the button for about 30 seconds, then release. (You won't see anything happen) 4. connect the power adapter to the laptop. Make sure that the power adapter is plugged in. 5. Start the computer as usual. 6. After Windows starts, insert the battery. I hope this helps someone! Mike

  • New Satellite A100 - charge the battery before turning on?

    Hello

I'm new in the world of laptops and I will get an entry level Toshiba A100
Today, however, I am worried as to the time, I first want to charge the battery for 8 or so hours before starting the machine for the first time?

I ask because I heard that you can compromise the ability to charge using the battery when it is
already low (the 1st time) and configuration of the laptop, is it true?

    Your help is very appreciated.

    Hello

The fact is that the new laptops also come with new batteries and the batteries are empty. All laptop manufacturers offer portable computers with batteries.
    It s not unusual State.
Of course, you can connect the AC adapter and start the laptop computer. While working on the laptop, the battery may charge.

Laptop is about 2 years old.  Running on the Windows 8 origninal accompanying.  Had the same problem when it was purchased.  He sent to Acer.  Returned with no report / Details.  Has worked very well. Until recently.

Noticed that seeing orange lights up when it feels like load and stops at 35% load.  Load is something dark, don't miss especially.

    Tried:

Stick a PIN in the "battery reset" hole on the back

    Uninstalling the 'API Microsoft' battery

Remove the battery to see if it'll work without it (it has an internal battery)

Of course Acer won't help now since the warranty has expired.

  • Should I charge the battery on my NEW phone, or drain before charging them.

I just got the new Motorola DROID. I use my phone a lot, so I want to make sure I have keep the longest possible battery life. The employee who helped me to the Verison store told me not to worry charing the phone immediately, and it's only something that needed to be done with the old phone batteries. In the box with my Droid came instructions that said to charge the battery for a full 12 hours to ensure the smooth operation and maximum battery life. Which is correct?

Load completely before use.  12 hours is not fair.  Load until the light goes out.  Air conditioning is not necessary on these batteries.  And, if possible, they should not be drained completely between charges.  There are several good sites FAQ for battery litium on internet.

  • Satellite L755 would not charge the battery

Hi all. I bought a new laptop today... it wouldn't charge the battery so I exchanged in-store. The replacement also has this problem. I'm doing something wrong or I was just unlucky?

The battery in the bottom right of the screen icon tells me that the battery is 0% charged, but he is in charge. The red light on the laptop before left turns as if to show that the battery is being charged also.

    Yet battery does not charge.

If I unplug the laptop from the network, the laptop turns off instanty.

It is today the second laptop brand new with the same problem. Maybe a part of a lot of battery defective or is - a problem that can be corrected with the software? I don't want to take the laptop to the store for a second time in the day.

    Hello

If the laptop stops immediately after that the AC adapter is not unplugged, it means that the battery is empty and not loaded.
Are you sure you plugged the battery correctly into the battery bay?
Please check if the battery is well suited.

In addition, I recommend to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Then press the power button / stop along 30 seconds and reconnect the two parts.
Then leave the laptop connected to the network for a longer period of time (2-3 hours).
Then check the battery charge level

If he would always stay at 0% then I recommend you visit the dealer and check the other unit or the battery.

  • Re: This option is available to charge the battery?

It is rather a general question, although I use now L500-226 laptop running Windows 7 Home Basic.

One of the main reasons, I continued using PC instead of the battery of computers (as laptops) is their need (laptops) periodically remove the charger and then reinsert it when the battery is low. Otherwise, keeping the charger is still plugged, the battery would suffer in two ways:

1 - where the loading stops, the battery will not be able to restore full capacity for the first time. Of course, if the charge process to full discharge then to a low level is repeated once again, internal chemical reactions of the battery could be reactivated gradually to a good extent.

    2. in the long term, keep the battery in full charge State also decreases its MTBF (Mean-Time-Before failure).

As we all know, the process of charging the battery to full then shock it in an optimal level of low could be repeated automatically by the software.
Obviously this option must be set by the user first. In this case, there is no need to unplug the charger.
And only when the user has to take the laptop where the voltage of the network are not available on request, this option would be disabled to avoid discharging the battery automatically.

Does anyone think that this option is already available in some new Toshiba laptops and maybe L500 models?

To be honest, I was told that the large companies in the world that produce batteries games can get significant extra revenue of the replacement of the battery packs in shorter periods. But in my opinion, the majority of PC users replace their PCs with laptops that are implementing the battery above, option since they will not have to pay each year (at best) to replace their relatively high price (specific for the manufactured product!) battery pack.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

This option is not available. All works automatically, and as the Akuma wrote, you should disconnect manually.
