  No - you can't retrieve pictures directly from your watch. However, you can add your replacement iPhone.

  Apple Watch stores the photos in an album photo sync on your iPhone. By default, it's on your album of Favorites (the photos that you have marked as Favorites). The photos may not be synchronized / extra back to your new iPhone to your watch - synchronization only works on the other hand.

  To keep the same pictures on your watch once it is paired with your replacement iPhone, you must add these same photos to the iPhone. You may be able to do this by restoring a recent backup of your iPhone:

  Once the pictures are on your iPhone, select the album to synchronize with your watch:

Anyway, I downloaded a backup of my computer, but the only one I had done since March 2015 before I left the country for travel. So I have all my photos up here and those I take now but ZERO of my travel photos of the past year and a half. I see my trip photos I took during the year on the site of library Photo iCloud and on the albums of Photostream in my iPhoto but they download on my new iPhone 6. What's most frustrating is that I dropped my phone in a pool in Thailand and my replacement, I then had no problems downloading all my pictures from the trip, so I don't know why they are not downloading this time or what could be different. I tried to turn on/off iCloud photo library, I tried to turn on/off Photostream library, I backed up my phone to iTunes etc. etc., but nothing works.

  Hi, have you tried to reset your iPhone?

  This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  as far as I know that the water damage indicator will stay red in the future. It does not show that your phone is still wet, but the phone was in contact with the water.

  If you have kept your iPhone in the bag plastic with rice and Silicon gel for a few days, you can try if it works always. But perhaps the water already destroyed.

  If this does not at all or behaving strangely, you must go to an Apple Store.

  You are right that the water damage is not covered by warranty. If you have Apple Care Plus, then it is covered as one of your accidental franchisees.   I didn't save my 6s IPhone since I got it and I don't know whether to "set up as new iPhone" or "restore from this backup" (my old iPhone 5).

  I'm afraid that if I "set up as new Iphone" I will lose all my photos my camera etc. For more than 30 weeks I had this 6 s IPhone and I have over 3000 photos.

  Please let me know which option to choose. -I don't mind if photos from my old phone to the folder/location same as pictures of my new phone as long as I do not lose them!

  When you load an iphone it should automatically be saved on iCloud

  Go to the last backup of settings-iCloud check if it's not very old use that one

  When you set iPhone it will ask you if you want to use backup say yes, if its a recent.

  Thank you for bringing your question about Restrictions here in Apple Support communities. My understanding of your question is that you change the Restrictions, but no change is noticed. I tried the same on my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 10 and noticed a similar situation. Please allow me the opportunity to explain how the Restrictions is designed to work. First, I put my limitations for applications, do not allow Apps and together 4 +, which basically means everything beyond 4 + will be blocked from buying. Then I went to the App Store and the first app that caught my attention was NCIS: hidden crimes. This app is rated 12 + and is definitely an application I would not want my toddler to help. It is that Restrictions come into play. When I type on NCIS: hidden Crimes, the Get option is grayed out. Restrictions does remove all apps, songs, books, etc. from view, but it will prevent the purchase, download, and install all applications rated above the setting you choose when you set up restrictions. It's the help article that discusses the Restrictions and prevent purchases: Use Restrictions in order to avoid buying on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

  I checked on the restrictions help articles, and I understand where it can be a bit confusing. In the help article Use Restrictions on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, it says "You can use Restrictions, also known as parental control, to block or limit specific applications and features on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch." This means in fact that apps, features or services (rated above that helped you, or if you have turned off completely) can he no longer appears on the device if the restriction is activated and starts blocking them. I also tested this by activating Restrictions and turned the cursor for Safari to off. When I went back to the home screen, Safari doesn't show any more and I could no longer use it.

  Do not activate it. This can make things even worse. Out of warranty, the replacement is the only option here.
