I use Outlook Express messaging in Windows XP. Display Hebrew characters of the name of the sender and the subject? and the body of the message often appears in giberish (I guess it's ASCII). My ' READ' international property is Euro (ISO), West it is grayed and I have no option to Western Euro (Windows), (no drop-down option). My "send " is OK, I had a choice, and it's on (windows).

Outlook Express 6 - spell checker
I try to activate spell check in Outlook Express 6. However when I go into the Options, it is not a spelling tab. I'm also in Word 2010, and as far as I can see, the spell check is enabled in that.
Help, please,
Simon B
See if this helps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974. I realize it's not exactly what you describe, but in any event, if you install Word 2007 or later, your spellchecker of OE no longer works. When an opportunity moving fuction outlook express installs all my local folder to the trash. a when I try to use the import feature in outlook, I don't see the trash to shoot again in outlook or send to outlook? I'm not the best person with a p/c, but don't use it assign to all my data. I don't like the paper.
I went to Microsoft support and the message I got was to call the cemmererical support team?
Thank you
original title: how to restore my data express form in outlook that was placed in the trash, I moved an email in a folder and all other data files were sent to the Recycle Bin
- Please do not use Outlook as a shortcut to Outlook Express. They are two completely different programs.
- Bak files, you see in the trash is moved when you attemptrd to move messages, i.e. an automatic backup that occurs when the compaction of your records. They were probably there already.
If you are moving messages, first examine all records to ensure that they don't end up in the right folder, or becomes one subfolder of another. If this is not the case, read on.*****************************************Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below. Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact
Why mail disappears:
http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgoneRecovery methods:If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files. To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder. If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspxAnd see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4A general warning to help avoid this in the future:Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Original title: problem with outlook express 6 and gmail
Email sent using gmail pop, while on outlook express 6 is checked in to the gmail server sent the file, but not on my express outlook sent folder. How can I have email sent appear in Outlook express 6 sent folder. I put it as pop not imap
Any suggestions?Check in OE under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and ensure that it is not set to IMAP. It seems to me that if you use IMAP folders. If it isn't, in addition to the suggestion of Umesh, you can try to go to file | Identities and install a new identity and add your POP3 account and see if it works very well.

Outlook Express is not automatically adjust pictures to adapt to the
the fact of the screen as Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. If you receive photos that are more than 640 x 480
scrolling will be probably needed. On this day of
very high-resolution pictures... unless the senders
resize photos before sending them, they will be huge.In Outlook Express... If you go to... Tools / Options /.
Read... tab and check the box... «read all messages»
clear"... you will not see the photos in the
body of the message, but as an attachment. Then you can left click the paperclip and the click left one
file name photo and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
will launch for photo viewing.Best bet would be IMHO to save photos in a folder
disk your hard drive and view them from there. Personally
I prefer the original versions to receive total sizes of the
the photos because they are best for printing and editing. -
