• The add-on PDF in RH11 prevents me to download Acrobat Pro XI?

  My IT Department is having a difficult time pushing the Adobe Acrobat Pro XI to install on my computer. They think that it is because of the add-on PDF in RoboHelp 11. They say that the add-on is a newer version, and therefore, Acrobat keeps default installation. Is there anyone knows this as well and it is a known problem? What my Department reason to think that the problem is due to the add-on in RH11? They think that we need to disable the add-on some how.

  Not something I've seen reported, but pretty quick solution would be to uninstall Rh11 and make sure that the Add on PDF is uninstalled, and then reinstall without the add-on. I think it should work but if in case of doubt, you will have to ask Adobe direct. Questions about the installation is free.

• Help, please!   Nothing WORKS loading Acrobat Pro XI on the new MacBook Air

  I have a new MacBook Air.  I transferred all the files of old Macbook Air, including Acrobat Pro XI.  It does not work.   I bought Acrobat Pro XI on 18 February 2015.  I still have the email and the link for the download.  The link will only now in Acrobat Pro DC.  I discovered that with the code I have for Acrobat Pro XI, I could get a free upgrade.  OK, I downloaded Acrobat Pro DC and entered my key - that should work, especially if the upgrade is free, right?  EVIL.  He said that the key is not valid.  It IS valid for XI Pro because I have it on my old MacBook Air.  I went back and found the .dmg file that I downloaded originally to install Acrobat Pro XI.  Of course, who does not work on my new computer is - says it is not valid.

  Someone else in Adobe on this forum gave me links to the windows that obviously do not work on my Mac.  I simply cannot change computers?  What kind of racket is Acrobat?  Please, someone help.  I tried to solve this problem ALL DAY.

  I'm just screwed?  Is this really how Acrobat treats its customers?

• The dialogues do not work in Acrobat Pro XI on Windows 7

  I think that this problem really begins with Reader X, but I removed it before installing Acrobat Pro XI.

  What is the problem, it's that the dialog boxes, such as properties and preferences do not work. For example, preferences appear as a panel full screen tan with nothing in it. Properties is also a panel full screen beige, with a few very large text crossed out, run through it diagonally.

  Pro XI other functions seem to work, but it is not really functional in this way and the print dialog box is also affected. It's on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

  These dialogue questions are often seen if vital fonts, included with Windows 7 or later, are deleted. There should be seven Segoe UI font listed in the fonts Control Panel. Under no circumstances remove them.

• PDF files interactive don't scale in Acrobat Reader

  Once I have create an interactive PDF using InDesign CS5 and visualize it in Acrobat Reader 10, the feature works fine, but when I move the page size in Acrobat Reader 100% more or less, interactive elements remain 100% and are truncated when the scale is smaller, and have a large space around them when the scale is larger.

  Is there an export feature that allows the interactive elements on a scale with the size of the page? I can't seem to find a.

  How did you create it? There is a known issue with the original version of CS5, but which was supposed to be fixed with a patch. If you're on CS5, then make sure you're fully patched to 7.0.3.

• Send an active PDF form with a Submit button? (Acrobat Pro XI.)

  I created a very large active form of PDF with hundreds of fields with text boxes, drop downs, checkboxes, radio buttons, and I think that the kitchen sink. But for the life of me I can't understand how to create a Submit button that will send the completed form to an email address that is configured to print whatever it hits.

  Looks like that you always use the free Acrobat Reader software. Once you get the Acrobat subscription, you must download, install and use Acrobat to open PDFs. The subscription does not add this capability to the free player. It is a separate program.

  The permissions are part of the PDF and do not change.  But as Adobe clearly warn some third party applications will ignore permissions.

  The PDF standard is open - this is why there may be several different applications to read PDF files. This open standard includes safety instructions, some developers do not know for various reasons, including an aversion to the idea that you should be able to protect your files. Make a complaint to the enforcement officials.

  The message is pretty clear, right? You cannot export forms XFA (those created in LiveCycle Designer) to other formats.
