My phone got wet

I have the phone for 3 days. Several hours ago I tried to "show off" and cleaned up my phone in the kitchen sink in front of my friend. After an hour, I noticed that the proximity sensor does not work. On careful consideration, I noticed moisture present in the window of the proximity sensor. I'm really sure that I well closed the covers.

P.S. When I look into the headphone jack, I see a light from the screen. Is this normal?

Maybe just some time to dry. Refrain from using a fan, however.

  • BlackBerry Z10 z10 got wet and now apps are not open

Yesterday, my phone got wet.  After removing the sim card, sd card, battery and the overnight drying it will start but now none of the applications open.

When I press an icon (for application), the screen looks like it's move to the screen of frames active but quickly returns to the grid for all my applications. Even inside the hub, I can't text or bbm or open emails, but what I already have is still there.

The WiFi and signal strength icons appear at the top right, but the BlackBerry icon disappeared.

The unit is still functional as a phone: I can make and receive calls and check voicemail.

I tried to save but BlackBerry link but get a connection error.  The closest I got was to get past the password and start a backup, which then failed.  Most of the time that simply Link does not connect to my phone.  I tried restarting the phone several times and re-establish the link, but without success.

This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.

1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.
    2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).
    4. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

Suggestions on your BlackBerry in a warm dry place (open, with battery):
    * Place the BB in a container of rice uncooked dry, and then you can also place it in one of the locations mentioned below.
    * On top of any heat dry emitting electronic components: TV or CRT, LCD, TV cable box / Satellite or plasma monitor
    * On the dashboard of your car on a day sunny

  • What happens if your phone gets wet and turn it on

What happens if your phone gets wet and turn it on

    and how to fix

If you try to turn it on it is still wet, the battery power could fry the material inside the iPhone. Electricity + water =

Do not power it on until you have let it dry for a few days. Some people use bags of rice, but I recommend what rice can get stuck in the helmet and refill holes. Use rather these silica packets that come with clothes and shoes if you have. Place the iPhone in a bag with the packages. They absorb water much more quickly, then the phone leaving aside to dry.

  • CP1025NW: printer 1025nw cp got wet

Hello. I did a stupid thing by placing my soda on top of my printer. My printer got wet. I noticed that the electricity in my house went out. I had to swith and turn off the circuit breaker in order to recover the electricity in my room. I removed the printer and there was a lot of soda, which came out of the printer. I skipped my printer using a microfibre cloth and I even tried to use a hair dryer to dry. I did a reset on my printer by plugging it to another outlet. It won't turn? The motherboard has been damaged? I live here in Las Vegas, there is only a repairer authorized for HP here in Las Vegas. I'll put in my printer on my day off next week if he is not still on.

It's corrected now. I just let it dry for 8 hours and it started to work again thank you.

  • The wife and I have 2 iphones on the same backup mac computer / same itunes account and we have both got new iphone 7, her photos pop up fine for the restoration, my phone got all his own

So under my account itunes on our desktop mac, my wife saved his phone as well.

Today, we got the new iphone 7 s (and both save them on pc mac before we are gone and got the new), when we came back she hers in plugged into the mac PC first and she very well restored.

When I tried to restore mine, all but the properly restored images.

All his images restored on my phone, how can I fix this?

    ---

Both are full of photos are in the title of the photos on my PC mac app.  They are separated and in a section mixed with each other, but still on the application of a single picture on our Mac... but that means I know all his and my photos are not all here which is good.

So how I get off my iphone with its photos and all of mine on my iphone?  A sort of thing copy and paste?  Look forward to answers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Lost a phone, Got new, but not of old photos/files

A few days ago, I lost my phone here in Paris.

I didn't have much choice but to get a new phone and SIM here in France.

The old phone has not been saved on the cloud, since I have backup directly to my computer. I have not saved since I left 3 weeks ago.

So with my new phone, I took some photos yesterday.  I have set up as good as new. Is not restored because my computer is still in the United States. When I got home, the new phone connected to Wi - fi, started filling with pictures 3 weeks ago. I turned backup to the cloud for sure all that is saved. I was pretty happy so far.

This morning, I found none of the photos from my old phone on the stream of the new phone. I thought that she was saved on my cloud. I checked my iCloud desktop, and none of the old photos are here. I am currently at the Apple Store in the Louvre. Nobody here can give me a solution.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You use Apple the same ID as the old phone?

Have you seen the old phone synchronization iCloud photo library?

  • iPod Classic Gen 7 got wet!

I had completely wet it last Monday. And the worst thing is I gave it 10 minutes until I've discovered. I put it in a bow of rice quickly. I left it overnight and the next day, I checked it and it seemed ok. The battery was fine, the screen was fine. I can still listen to music. Everything was fine until yesterday. When I plugged my iPod into my Mac, the computer does not recognize it even though the iPod showed: "connected". Today, I did it again, and I can see the icon for the iPod on my computer screen. However, whenever I tried to click on it, my computer was freezing and I have to force altogether in the Finder. In addition, I couldn't open the iTunes when the iPod is connected. And there was a plank with a RED X show this: ", you can always open or copy the files on the disk, but you cannot save changes to the files on the disc. Back to the top of the disk and reformat it as soon as you can. ». I don't know what to do now and I really need help guys. Is my iPod completely trash now or there is always a way to fix it? Please help me because I don't want to lose him. It's a gift from my father. Please help me!

P/s: Forgive my English. Not very well

You need to make to your local Apple Store or Apple authorized service provider and watched it. Looks like it has been damaged by water, but someone needs to examine it to determine the extent of the damage.

    Good luck

  • Sansa Clip + got wet, only volume buttons do not work, the volume on a PC?

Hi my Sansa Clip + has been for some time on the rain and I guess that wet - volume keys do not work, all other functions OK

TI now on "too lo wvolume" I solved it before that.

    1. is it possible to adjust my volume (now its too low after reset) on a PC connected via USB? Kind of hack volume...

    2. it should not happen, but I try send a guarantee? Maybe the wet sensors are OK cause it was just a rain...

Any other probability/cost to fix in any fix Center "e"?

    Thank you!

First of all, NEVER try to turn on or turn on an electronic device while it is still wet!

You will very probably short something internally that will kill him forever!

    1 n °

    2. the warranty is for MFG. any defect of manufacture or material only! It does not include misuse of customer, as leaving in the rain, take it into the shower with you, a fall in the toilet, he swims, wear or leave it in your pocket and then do your laundry.

    2. SanDisk has not not any Center electronic "fix."

The only thing you can do is to place the device in a bag of uncooked rice dry several days absorb moisture inside.  Since you've already played with wet it is doubtful that this will help, but it won't hurt to try.

  • DV9000 laptop got wet

Have a laptop that has been anointed with a glass of water per family member.  Has acted quickly and did the usual things, tilt to eliminate water, run dryer on low, open reverse and had a small fan blowing on it for several hours.

It turns on and everything works... almost.  Good video, good network, hard drive works well, mouse works.  But the keyboard seems a casulty.  Make appear Word and start typing, and you get all sorts of interesting output.  At gives A + Backspace is------and so on.

Plugged a USB Cherry keyboard and all is good.

So, if I order a replacement keyboard, it will have what it takes, or a component more 'down the line' witnesses to the keyboard?

  • IPhone 6 s water damage, the phone turns on, is the battery just fried?

My phone got wet almost a hot tub... was not at all.  Tekdry working on it, so its dry and did not work during a day.  Now its finally works when it is plugged in, but used to hold a charge and seems to be stuck in recovery mode.  IM more than sure that it must just be the battery.  In any case, she takes in the Genius bar, unfriendly guy told me they would not replace battery water damage indicators show?  Why wouldn't they just allow me to pay for a replacement of the battery?  I know it may or may not work and of course my phone is out of warranty damage, if Im not looking to blame future maybe problems on Apple.  Just shocked I couldn't give them $90 to a new phone?  Is this a common practice?  They said that they would only replace whole phone for $299... Please help or give advice, thank you!

Yes, it's standard. Your only option with Apple will be to pay for a full out-of-warranty replacement device.  The costs for this in the USA are $ 299 for which you get a refurbished device to factory OEM with a 90 day warranty.
