My photos are not in chronological order. Why?

My photos are not in chronological order. Why?.

I'm looking at "All Photos".  They are supposed to be in order of date and time, but they are not.

Can someone tell me

(a) why?

(b) how to report a bug?

Ta!

The "All Photos" album is sorted by the date that you have imported the photos, not the date of capture.

But you can sort any other album descending by date.  Create your own album custom as a smart 'My Pictures' album and the descending sort.

File > new Smart Album

and use the rules:

CTRL-click the smart album in the sidebar and in this way it as you want:

These sorting options available in Photos on MacOS X 10.11. El Capitan, but not in Yosemite.

Hello. When I export my photos and videos from the Photos app on my iMac all the photos and videos are not in order. I need all the photos in good standing - I need to export about 5 000 pictures of the application in order for a meeting next week! Help, please!

    Ethan.

This is not photo - it is a function of the viewing program (probably the finder) - once the photos are exprted form pictures you can see then in different ways which you control, Photos does not - by the finder you can view by name of son, byt several dates, by file size, etc.

Usually, the best way to accomplish what you want is to export using the names of batch file numbeing and then sort by file name in the program viewing

  • Photos not in chronological order after updating to the new iPhone 7 since the previous backup

A few days ago, I backed up my iPhone 6 before heading to Verizon to update the iPhone 7 (128 GB). At this point, all my photos are in normal chronological order. Once I got the new phone, I plugged into my MacBook and put in place since the last backup, and my photos were so totally out of order and in all directions in my camera roll.

Any way to put them in order? I tried to reset my phone and restore. Both without success.

Should what steps I take to keep the picture sorted by date and time?

The photos in question include the images of my iPhone and the reflex that I imported.

You probably need to adjust the date for photos taken with one of your cameras.

Photos does not show the time zones, it uses to interpret the timestamps of pictures.

If your photos have been taken in different time zones, you must make sure that the pictures is using the correct time zone for each batch of photos you've imported. If you import photos, the Photos.app will use the time zone of time current system to interpret the timestamps, if she cannot deduct the time zone from GPS data.

Use the command "Image > adjustment Date & Time ' for the photos that you imported while being in a different time zone area at the time the photos were taken. You can set a different time zone here.

  • Some photos are not selected when I try to import ("do not import possible double images" is turned OFF!)

Some photos are not selected when I try to import. I used Lightroom 5 since it launched and do not have this problem until a month ago (select: "do not import possible double images" is turned OFF!). I really have to control my import in the opposite case, it miss a few images, but don't know what to do when the picture is not selected. How can I import the correctly without making stuff and that's why spoil my archive carefully planned? My archive is too packed and I have double numbers ore something? What I need Lightroom 6?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Best regards, Enith

"Photos are indeed grey, but the imported photos are new assignments, so this:" ","then it means that you have previously imported photos in Lightroom, and so it is not necessary to import them again ', is not the case.

While you are probably right, if the photos were just captured, the problem is that Lightroom think that these are the same pictures that were previously imported, and so until you can determine why Lightroom think that you won't progress.

You need search for any of these photos in your Lightroom Catalog. Follow these 4 steps in order

    1. In the catalog Panel on the left side of the library Module, click all photographs
    2. Develop all batteries (picture-> stacking-> develop all batteries)
    3. Disable all filters (once or twice Ctrl-L)
    4. Search for one of these photos by file name
  • Impossible to download book of the Cloud and the photos are not synchronizing

I'm unable to download a book from cloud and my iPhone on my iPad. I also find that my photos are not sync for my iPad.

It would be useful that you explained what happens when you try to download the book.

It would also help if explain you what you mean when you say that your photos are not sync to your iPad. Synchronization is the process of connecting your iPad to your computer to move the content back, and that the content will include photos.

If you use iCloud photo library and they photos do not appear on the iPad, it's a different process which would be run in a different mode.

  • My problem is: the photos are listed in descending order. I need them in ascending order.

    * Original title: Photo Arrangement

I have a real problem with my understanding of photo.

I am producing a slideshow on my travels in Asia over the period 2008-2015.

All the photos are in individual folders by year. I also arranged their by the date.

My problem is: the photos are listed in descending order.  I need them in increasing order - first photo of the last picture taken on a given date. Otherwise, I can't import individual files in my photoshow software because it displays the last picture taken 1.

I can't find a link or an option to have this way.

Does anyone know how to get the arranged in ascending order?

    With photos or anything else:

You can sort the files in a folder by clicking on the header of the
field you want to sort, such as the Date.

You can reverse the sort order, down to bottom-up,
or vice versa, by clicking on the header a second time.

  • Overview of thumbnails; My photos are not in the thumbnails preview more, how do I activate this new?

My photos are not in the thumbnails preview more, how do I activate this new? I have windows 7 Home Edition.

    Miniatures,

Open your my pictures location, click organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the View tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply to records on the top and apply and OK on the bottom.

If the photo thumbnails appear now but look washed on a right click and select Properties, on the section of the general tab, uncheck the box for the hidden attribute and save it.

Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a drop-down arrow, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

It is a problem with the plugin "Pinterest pine he touch Images" for WordPress. It wraps the image in a < span > element that has the style to display the value 'inline-block '. This causes Firefox to do a wrong calculation of the available width and simply show the enlarged image all the time.

If you like this plugin and could not find a good alternative, modify the following style sheet:

    http://www.craftingconnections.NET/the-blog/wp-content/plugins/Pinterest-pin-it-button-for-images/ppibfi_pinterest.CSS

    Line 65:

    	display: inline-block;

    VOX

    	display: block;

Test on Windows 7, it works by running Firefox and Chrome, but I did not test IE.

Recently, I downloaded lightroom cc on my 2008 MacBook. My friend has this program and so I know the ins and outs on how to work everything. I tried to import a folder and pictures and files that my computer had created, but had not created a lightroom folder in the pictures folder under my user profile that hers is appeared in my folder of creative cloud had done. I then tried to send photos from various sources (e.g. directily to camera, sim card, folder, to the download folder, etc.) and the photos were not yet able to import. The first set of 10 photos appear instantly, now 2-5 photos that I keep trying to download from these different sources would never finish import. What is my problem here?

Thanks for the update. Look at where your Lightrooms catalog.

    • Go to Lightroom > catalog settings > General
