My presets to export to PDF (print) are missing.

I have InDesign CS6. I went to export a file and I don't have that [custom] and standard (1). Normal settings such as the "smallest file size", "high quality print" and "Print quality printing" are all gone. Does anyone know how to fix this? And why this problem happened in the first place?

It seems that it's just another problem to add to a long list which haults my work and wastes a lot of my time. Is - too big to expect that an expensive program that my company paid for should work?

If it makes any difference, I use Windows 7.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that Prefs will do...

I downloaded a zip file of standard presets to my YouSendIt account there are a few mainths for someone else. It's still there: https://www.yousendit.com/download/TEhVN3RhbEpOQnljZDhUQw

  • InDesign, export to PDF (print) add white text?

    Hello

I work with a document in InDesign (latest version cc) and I'm trying to print to PDF for printing.  When I export as Adobe PDF (Print), the text comes out with a white highlight that isn't in the original file (see photo below).  This problem occurs only with the export to pdf option. print directly to PDF or export to jpg, it doesn't happen.  Can anyone shed light on what is happening here?

This is the text exported as PDF (in block letters):

    Export to PDF (Print).jpg

Same file printed directly in PDF format:

    Print to PDF.jpg

Yes, it seems that there are two layers. The back layer has a stroke and no fill. Open it in Illustrator:

  • Print from InDesign prints fine, but print after that exporting to PDF prints black as gray, low Image quality

    Hi all

I have a printing problem going on with a document that I am currently trying to print.  When you export to PDF (high quality print or press quality setting, as well as to any possible color output) and then print, black my document go to the gray and the images look washed out.  This does not happen if I print directly from InDesign on my printer.  I tried to change the merger of transparent space, change the color profiles document and corresponding to export options to the options used when you print directly from ID, all without success. the document is always printed wrong when exporting to PDF first.  Any ideas why this might happen when exporting or printing to PDF, but not when you print directly from ID?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I see.  Is there a way to ID artificially add CMY export in the same way as it does when sending to print?

Is the destination of the document a composite digital printer or an offset press? If it is composite set your black preference for export fills and convert to RGB on export:

  • InDesign CS4 on the MAC, export to PDF - strange behavior, missing text problem

tried searching, but have found no cure for this.

I'm working on a design CD 6 Panel. At one point, later in the project, as I was exporting as a PDF (print quality) for review, I noticed that some text was missing at random. Initailly tried to move some graphics and text into a new layer, and it solved. With the help of MAC, last Macbook Pro.

Now, she's back as I am finished with the project and export PDF is broken once again, and I had no luck this time fixing part of the substance penetrating new layers.

The best way to see are attached snapshots. An overview of the entire project, and then a detail on one of the messed up text as displayed in Adobe Reader 9.1

WHAT is the cause? How to get around this problem?

As I mentioned earlier, when I thought 50% done with the project, everything was very well export. So I'm not convinced it's the police.

Someone mentioned being out of alignment with folding lines? What does that mean?

First of all, I would like to try a different front for symbols of Apple.

Second, if you look at the marks around the two thorns, you will notice that they do not align up and down. I looked at the model, and it's actually design. Those on the bottom indicate where the folds are two spines on the edges, toppings on top guides are - I think for a cut. Frankly, I really do not understand completely how this is done, so I don't know what the pink line is really signifyiing. The green line inside it is showing you the security zone, or the area in which you keep all the important data in the layout. Your spinal column copy shoud adapt to the width of the guides on half lower.

  • ID CS6 Crash the export in PDF print in Windows

    Hello

I can't export my indesign file to a PDF of high quality for printing. I use Windows 7 64-bit.

Current file size of the document is 234 MB, most of the footage is linked. But when I try and do an export, it crashes with this error:

    error.PNG

(It's in German. It shows the message of closure of windows 7 and the standard deviation. Adobe Indesign CS6 has stopped working... blah)

So I tried to export various (for testing purposes) in other files.

    • Scale reduced to 72 dpi graphics are crashing.
    • IDML is crashing.
    • I also tried on another laptop with windows 7 is always crashing.
    • Exporting without most of the graphs (using a copy I did a few days ago), it's working. The size of the file of the copy was 13 MB. Fonts and all the rest to the beautiful sets. After this copy I started putting in graphics.
    • Interactive PDF (with graphics of course on a reduced scale) is to work.

So any tips on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance.

The file export correctly with a previous version of ID?

  • The size of my document in In Design print in a different size when I export to PDF

I made a document in In Design, which is 7x9.25' and it prints in the correct size when I print from In Design.  But when I export to PDF in Acrobat DC it prints more.  It prints to 8.5 x 11.  When I cut along the outline of the document, printing In Design is the exact size I want, but leave the PDF file, even after I cut along the outline, it is too much.  Is there a setting that I need to use in In Design before exporting to PDF print to the exact size that I created it in In Design?

    Thanks for your help!

    Angie

In Acrobat, place your cursor in the lower left corner of the screen and it will show you what your document is about the size. If the size of the document is correct, then I guess that when you print from Acrobat, which you 'Fit' selected under Page size and handling in the print dialog box. Make sure that 'real size' is chosen, and which should print in the right size.

  • How to export to PDF with crop marks * and * an image high resolution?

HI - firstly, apologies - I have another query here and this is a related issue. Because I have been unable to solve this problem, which is with InDesign CS5, I downloaded the demo of InDesign CC, as I work at a date limit.

OK, so I'm used to be able to export PDF files of high quality with crop marks in CS5. That's what I want to do with my file.

In InDesign CC, it seems that if I simply 'export', I don't give me no option to add placemarks of crop, even if the file is configured to have a bleed.

If I rather 'print' in Adobe PDF format, I * can * add crop marks. However, I then lose the option to export images in high resolution (300 dpi), and they come out pixelated.

Maybe I'm missing something, but for now it seems to me that I have a choice of images of high quality but without crop marks or crop marks and bad quality images!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you!

PDF presets are the same in InDesign CC, they are in InDesign CS5.

Choose file > export > Adobe PDF (Print)

Simply choose a preset PDF which defines the resolution of the image in order to treat his high enough for your printing. There is also an option to print the Page guides and funds lost.

  • Text moves after export to PDF

    InDesign CS5 (7.0.4), Mac OS x 10.6.8

    See the screenshots for clarity.

    From InDesign.pngFrom Acrobat.png

On the left is my InDesign file, on the right is my created PDF file by choosing export > Adobe PDF (Print) > Adobe PDF presets: print quality with bleeding.

It is two paragraphs in a text box. Why is the part of the first paragraph moves? It looks like a movement of the massive base was put on.

Just try something else. I tried with different fonts, move the copy. I retyped it in a new text box, move the copy. If I do not use the dash character (the dagger), the copy don't move here (HEY, A CLUE!) So why don't the Indent here character cause the copy to move throughout this paragraph and not in the other 30 + instances of this file?

To do this job to the printer, I copied the areas affected in a new layer and hide this layer, then in the first layer, I have only converted text in vectorised text boxes and sent them a new PDF.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

Message was edited (spelling and new test info) by: FergyMac

    BINGO!

This page is another area of text on it which is causing the problem. Two text boxes overlap. When I move the OTHER text box to the top layer this problem disappeared!

Thanks Peter and Eugene for me to walk through it.

  • InDesign, merging the pages when you export to PDF

    Hello

I'm sure I tried all the export options when exporting to PDF of my InDesign document, but for some reason, the pages keep merging (2 pages of singles coming out like one).

Here is the screenshot of the result:

    SS.jpg

And here's what I have in InDesign:

    SS2.jpg

As you can see, they are certainly different pages. I tried simple, single page continuous... etc.

    Someone has an idea?

    Kind regards

    Mario

You export to interactive PDF, aren't you?

By default than exports is spreading, and there is nowhere in the dialog box change - must be performed by the script. Interactive PDF from InDesign CS5 has always Spreads on | InDesignSecrets

If you do not need the interactivity in the PDF file, export to PDF (Print).

  • Export to PDF, how?

Hi, how do you export a file to PDF? What's this? I ask this because I'm about to send my portfolio to a printer, and I want to go as gently as possible because it will be my document (s) first ever sent to one and I don't know how to do in this regard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

File > export > Adobe PDF (Print), then use the preset or jobotions recommend the printer.

People - please can someone help me please. I have a tight deadline to get something to print.

  • Export to PDF out of the opening page

Using Indesign CS 5.5 7.5.2 on a mac. I have a document in a book composed of 67 individual documents. Each document is paginated correctly. Each document starts on the right side with good white as the last document pages when necessary.

When I export to PDF (print), each document begins on the left side. I hope that there is an easy solution for this. Help or comments appreciated.

You probably just need to adjust the display settings in Acrobat to "show the cover page".

Export to PDF (print) and choose the setting of the press. If you need to crop marks and bleeds, add in the part of marks and bleeds from the export dialog box.
