    WHAT CAN I DO?

    Hi LumierRodriguez,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Check if the problem persists in the safe mode and after return with the result.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Old license Windows XP Home Edition (HP) is not valid

    Hi guys,.

I recently had to format & reinstall the pc of my father, who has a sticker of xp of windows with the license on this subject.

The sticker says "Windows XP Home Edition HP", but when I try to install WinXP with this license, he said that the license is not valid.

I used the WinXP it SP3 CD, because I can't find the original CD of Windows XP without Service Pack anywhere,.

is this the problem or can I use an old XP license it to install XP SP3 it?

If this isn't the problem, could someone help me know what is the problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

What is the make and model of this PC?

It is important that the media matches the license. So, if the license is an OEM version of XP Home, only an OEM XP Home CD work. A XP Home retail CD are bad media.

Assuming that you have the correct CD, make sure you enter all characters correctly. Make sure that you enter not an 8 for a and B, for example.

  • Windows Home Premium Activation accepting not product key

I recently met a problem on one of my kids computers that I can't fix.  I have recently reinstalled Windows Vista on this computer, I did because I bought Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Collection (a game of Microsoft), and it has simply refused to work on this computer.  I finally cracked and re-installed Windows Vista (you can read the entire saga here)http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistagaming/thread/9ae7f7e3-eb92-4a36-9095-fe16f5a8ce38/#9284ac2b-a853-4366-bed6-e725de40347d.  As my child was cheerfully playing Zoo Tycoon and his other games, things be deleriously happy for a fortnight.

Today, however, the computer started and indicated that Vista should be activated.  I have several legit don't produce key for Vista, but none of them are accepted.  The only options I'm offered are to enter a new product key, to buy a product key or ask Microsoft for help.

I tried to re - install Windows Vista from the CD but I received a message saying that I need to install Vista from the current operating system, but of course when I start now it goes directly to the registration form.

Any help would be appreciated, I literally installed Vista five times on this computer in order to get Zoo Tycoon to work and Im staggered by my inability to operate and the challenges, I continue to turn in (I could easily write a book on what not to do at this point).

Yes, I read that... I think that what I did (which I'm discovering is quite hard to fix), is that I used the OEM of Windows Vista version which was another of my computers... now I can not beyond screen recording and when I use my Windows retail version that I bought it says I have to install it from windows... Here is the information of the MGA tool:

The key to this facility is a Gateway/eMachines computer, while the computer itself is a Compaq
Your retail Windows disk is almost certainly an upgrade disc?
If you start the computer for Windows, then use the Windows upgrade disk, you can always opt for a Clean installation / Custom from there, using your upgrade key (assuming your drive and the key are Home Premium or higher), or you should be able to do a normal upgrade (effectively a reinstallation) , which keeps whatever other apps you have already installed and your data (but an external backup is always a good idea in any case!).

  • Product key Windows vista family premium is not valid for activation?

OK, thanks for that. You want to mean by clean install, format the drive, then install again installation dvd or tell you since the recovery disk that is created as a separate on my laptop drive. And, if I clean install on my laptop, it will ask to enter the product key during installation?

Both the Dell recovery disk and partition recovery integrated automatically reformat the hard drive and return the machine to its original state of delivery (at least in theory) - should all have integrated the manufacturer key and requires no key when installing, please write. The integrated partition is probably the best to use in a first time - this is the fastest and less hassle.

Remember to backup ALL your data to external storage first, as with will wipe away the C: partition and can erase any other partition on the hard drive as well.

The system is designed for scoped him key to the manufacturer, given three things

    (1) the appropriate key

    (2) the right table SLIC in BIOS

    (3) certificates/licenses well integrated in the software.

-in your case this system is broken somehow, perhaps following an attack of malware, or a faulty program or "accidental damage" of the software. The key and SLIC table is still OK, but somewhere the ability of the operating system to properly access licenses collapsed - either licenses are missing (unlikely) or the registry has been damaged so that the OS is looking in the wrong place, the wrong information or (or looking at all!).

  • Windows activation key is do not qualify

Previous post stated that I could not locate Windows Vista activation key. I found the key, when I enter it I get the message "Software Licensing Service reported that the license evaluation failed. Suggestions please.

Before this AM, I had no problem, the computer is almost 4 years now. This AM, I received a disk error message and the computer "repaired" himself. Now I get the message that Windows is not activated.

The key on the COA sticker on your computer is not really designed for activation. It's just a technical formality. Computer manufacturers main Windows installations come pre-activated by using what we call 'SLP' aka the pre-activation locked system. This system uses the computer's BIOS, a special OEM key and a special certificate of OEM to activate the computer. If any of these items are deleted, corrupted, damaged, or changed... Windows may ask to reactivate, as he lost his pre-enabled state.

Without recover your computer to a factory State, it can be difficult to get the system re-activated. Using the HP Recovery Manager or HP recovery to the recovery disks, the computer will be solove this question, but you will need to re-install all your software-at the factory, the updates of Windows and also back up and restore your personal data.

    Please send Bravo

  • Windows Home Basic Edition does not connect to a grace wireless working group

I'm running 3 computers on a workgroup that connects to the internet. A computer running Windows 7 Pro, another Windows XP Pro and the third is a laptop running Windows 7 Home Basic.  There are full between the 3 interoperability when connected via a LAN cable, even when the laptop is connected to the wireless router.  However, if I try to use the laptop without cable, it will connect to the router wireless as an unidentified Public network and therefore does not see the Working Group (and therefore there is no internet access).

If I click on the icon of unidentified network in the center network & sharing, I expect to be able to select the type of network, I can use - i.e. knit - but instead I get a box indicating that it is a public network, unidentified without options.  I tried to use the difficulty Microsoft it 50725 - but he said he could not change the network settings and I should change in network settings - which I can't.

In this mode, I can 'see' the laptop on the other two computers, but its network location is black (not the working group only when connected via cable) and if I try to open up the laptop I get an error message saying: it can not find the path.

This is a recent problem that the system worked very well upward until a couple of there are days where I lost wireless connectivity. The signal strength is 100% (the router is normally less than 30 meters, although now is 1 meter away so I can plug the cable) and there is no other networks wireless within several km.  I have a total control through my browser to the router through the wireless link wireless, the material is so everything is OK - it takes a few adjustments to the software.

    Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay in replying, I had problems to download all the drivers the most recent, but ultimately successful.

Uninstall and reinstall the wireless card had no effect so I started the update or replacement of all other drivers as well.

Replace the Bluetooth driver did the trick, even if it has been disabled in advance and it is always off - but for reasons that I doubt I'll never, understand which seems to have been the problem--for now

Thanks for the advice - it always pays to be more radical than you ever thought necessary...

  • Windows 8 key works is not to update to 8.1

    Separated from this thread.

It expressly indicates that the keys to Windows 8 will not work & when I tried, she rejected my key.

Thank you very much. You have been very helpful. After the problem that I have met, I tried Windows 8 discs, but they were too expensive. Suddenly, I noticed a site called "Probz". The site directed directly to the Microsoft Download, which I proceeded to use. I've done a copy DVD ISO and which allows to install Windows 8. My problem has been resolved. Thanks again for your help, which is really the only help that I have received from Microsoft. Now that I have the DVD ISO, I can try tomorrow for 8.1.  The manufacturer's website was not helpful, because they have never tested my model to ensure compatibility.
