If I use at any time update in windows vista home premium upgrade to complete, I need a Windows Vista Ultimate key to activate too?. Please answer

    Yes.

You will need to BUY a Vista Ultimate Upgrade product key/license disk

Windows Anytime Upgrade Vista is no longer available; which you always had to pay anyway...

Try to buy Vista Ultimate Upgrade online: newegg, amazon, etc.

Alternatively, try your local computer store.

I suggest that you use the built in recovery tools manufacturers to create a recovery disc or create a system image. I noticed that the upgrade to a later version of Windows can make your inoperable recovery partition.

    Hello Jack

I imagine that you have these problems, because a few months ago, I read an interesting article on this update and it was written on possible problems after the upgrade procedure. I installed a few times Ultimate on my A200 but as new installation.

What you can try is to install the OS by using recovery media, delete all the stuff designed by Toshiba, including all other software like Norton. After doing this upgrade brand.

When the upgrade is complete, install all the stuff of Toshiba order following facilities described in the instructions for Installations. I A200 with Vista Home Premium but I don't have a media Anytime upgrade and cannot test with my Satellite.

  • Updated motherboard, switching to home premium oem in professional detail.

I have a copy retail Windows 7 Professional which has been activated on another computer I'm disassembly and no longer go to the for use.  Can I use this copy of windows in my new computer that is running windows 7 Home premium oem (just installed new motherboard and it continues to ask for activation) without any problems?  If possible I'll have to do a clean install or can I use any time upgrade?

I'll give my younger brother my old computer should be able to have rights on the oem license, this hypothesis is correct?  What I read in the other questions and answers the oem cd key is locked to the computer, and since I'm going to give him the greater part of the original computer (less memory and hard drive) it should work right?

The computer with the version of Windows OEM must keep the OEM version.

You can install Windows 7 Pro on the new computer as a clean install (the key does not work as an anytime upgrade). Must be a 'Full' product or you need an earlier version of Windows to use an "Upgrade" version

  • Update Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to professional while retaining all my files installed in program files and information?

    Original title: Gareth.

I have 64 bit laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I just bought a new Windows 7 Professional and legal (OEM) version. How he use to upgrade my version of Windows 7 and keep all my files installed in program files and information? In other words, not a clean install!

Unfortunately, there is no option to do an upgrade, because what you have is an OEM license.

Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/24/how-to-backup-your-installation-of-Windows-7/

If you want to keep your programs and files, you will need to use a full version or upgrade Windows 7 professional retail license and use the key with the Express upgrade.

    OR

    Purchase an upgrade with anytime

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click the option to purchase a key. Wait while loading of the Express Upgrade page, click on the Windows 7 Professional Upgrade to buy it.

Click Next, fill in your details (it is important that you do this because the product key will be sent to you as a backup in case you need to reinstall) enter your credit card information, click next to begin the upgrade, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement , click upgrade, wait while the software updates, (it may take 10 minutes or more, depending on the case, updates are required), your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify its update of the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a windows will pop up by notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional, your files, programs and settings stored, proceed to activate Windows 7 Professional.
