My Qosmio F60 graphics card crashes often

Hi guys.

Hoping for some advice/corrections.

I now have a F60 for about three weeks.
The thing is great with the exception of a significant drawbacks.

The screen will either sometimes go to pieces then turn black and then turns back on nothing similar happens with an error in the sense of "the nvidia graphics adapter call upwards and is now running."

Or, the screen displays cr@p itself and stay cr@pped up there don't react don't not to screen shots and must be restarted.

Or the screen itself, cr@ps crashes and then restarts and asks me if I want to search solution which I of course agree to do.

It's a questionable graphics card? Is Toshiba needs to release new drivers for the graphics card? Or could it be something else?

Look forward to you answers.

Kidren.

Hi mate

It is difficult to say what's going wrong here, but I think you should check if it s not a graphics driver issue
In many cases the graphics card driver failure could cause similar problems.
So it s recommended to reinstall this driver

Greetings

    Hello

Why you n t visit the Adobe page and see for yourself
On the Adobe page, you will find info on all the need of hardware requirements.

But to be honest, the Qosmio G30 is a powerful machine and strong performance.
I think that it s not a problem of performance of the material, but maybe some software issue

Maybe you should try to read downloaded using another player movie files.

  • Qosmio F10 graphics card problem

About 11 months after I bought my Qosmio the graphics card no longer works and I couldn't see anything on the screen.

I contacted Toshiba and they fixed it under warranty.
About 6 months later, he went again and told me that the warranty on the repair had expired.

I was quoted around 350 pounds to repair both.
It was about 3 years ago.

He sat on a shelf since then.
Before I give him a decent burial, is now a more reasonable repair?

    Hello

To my knowledge, dysfunction of the graphics card is a serious hardware problem and usually the whole motherboard must be replaced.
I m not very good if the GPU could be removed from the motherboard in your case, but according to your message, the fix would cost £350, so I guess that the motherboard must be replaced also

Well, it s your decision what you want to do. is this difficulty and to spent £350 or perhaps to buy a second hand of the internet auction platform motherboard or sell this laptop and purchase another unit

  • Qosmio F50 - graphics card may not be recognized under 64-bit Windows

I installed the operating system Windows XP 64 on Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10K. I have a big problem, because Windows XP does not recognize my graphics card (nvidia geforce 9600 m gt).
I tried to install the drivers from the nvidia site, but once this graphics card still has not been recognized.
It causes that, when I try to push and drag a window, I can see how it is re-paint.

Could someone help me to solve my problem?

    Hello!

I think that the problem cannot be solved. Toshiba doesn't support any laptop computer with Windows XP 64-bit because it is OS was not so popular.

The only way I know is to use drivers from external Web sites and update your BIOS to the latest version. If it doesn't work, you must use another operating system.

I think that the Qosmio F50 is really fast enough for Vista 64-bit. Try it and you will see too much work.

    Good bye

  • ATI graphics card crashes on the Satellite M40-129

Sometimes, when I start my laptop it crashes, saying that the graphics card is in an infinite loop and in the games graphics is not displayed correctly, and after a minute, it crashes too. When I restart the problem is solved, but he does not appear each time. Can someone help me with this?

  • Y400 graphics card crashing.

Last week my ideapad Y400 acted upward. It crashed several times in the last seven days, which never happened before.

Today, I got a random BSOD (that I have had it 2 times already) while watching a video, and it got worse from there. Later, we my completely crushed graphics card and my laptop rebooted itself. When I reconnected, he said I don't have a graphics card from Nvidia installed. I restarted the laptop and he returned to the normal 10 minutes later, laptop computer all crashed and once more when I logged in, the system does not detect the graphics card. Now I am unable to do anything.

Is there something wrong with my graphics card or something? What should I do?

    Any help is appreciated!

The GPU is done for. I've never seen this error code GPU recovery without treatment of material as reballing or reinvest. The guarantee must cover. They will replace it with a new motherboard because the GPU is soldered to it.

  • Satellite P100 - nVidia Geforce Go 7600 graphics card crashed

    Hello!

My graphics card is broken down, and after removing dozens of screws, I checked that it is not built into the motherboard. I could he dismantled after removing the screws of the bottom three.
    -My laptop is a Toshiba P100-342 (PSPA3E-0QE038SP)

Research in the internet, I found just 1 card graph similar to mine. But I don't know if it will work, because I read that the devices must be exactly the same as the original:

    c918 http://www.eBay.es/ITM/New-Toshiba-A000013050-NVIDIA-G73M-128MB-GeForce-Go-7600-Video-Graphics-Board-/360821279000?PT=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&Hash=item54029f & _uhb = 1

I asked the seller eBay on compatibility and his answer was: "Please contact Toshiba for the complete product compatibility." But Toshiba does not provide any support after the expiration of the warranty (in Spain).

Anyone replaced this graphics card? Do you think I should buy the graphics card of this ebay? Are there other solutions? (for example: replacing the entire motherboard...)

    Thanks a lot in advance.

I never had to replace a graphics card in a notebook, but I wouldn't buy any part if I m not 100% sure if it would be compatible with my laptop.

Is that SATELLITE P100-342 was equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 (name of code G73M) PCI Express x 16 (GDDR2 dedicated 256 GB RAM) graphics card.

The part on ebay supports 128 MB only and that's why I think that the two parties are not the same.
This might be the reason not to buy this piece.

  • Qosmio G - graphics card displays bad screen

My laptop froze on a white screen. When you restart it first displays a black background with a light concentration of shaded blocks of blue and white strips vetically towards the bottom of the screen - a game of tetris.

As he went through the Windows loading in the background, the screen shot to a green-yellow black bakground verticlly lines to the bottom of the screen - as the screen of the matrix of the film of the same name. The following display was black and white barcode blocks also vertically. He started a repair-recovery action that eventually failed and could not go further. I did in safe mode with the same screens that passes. I disabled the NVidia GeForce GO 7600 graphics card to set the standard VGA.

I can now connect completely and use it in the normall way but visually it's identical to the one described above through the alternation of start-up, but blue rain adding like verticle lines down the screen - as Vista is located behind the Wet color glass window. White pages like a Notepad windoe has pink verticl lines to the bottom of it, but the text is readable but everso slight shading.

Everything seems to work properly, browser, web browsing, email, but the display is shot. I have connected the monitor external but got even. I tried to check the BIOS but all displayed in the colored squares tetris makes it difficult to see what to do. I upgraded BIOS v3.40 to v3.90 successfully but no change to display. I ran the diagnostics and the graphics card has failed.

I guess that the graphics card is a Goner, and I need a new motherboard aye!

    Hi Rabbitoh,

To be honest it s really strange to say something if you n t post your exact model laptop

But normally if an external monitor displays the same image, it means that the internal screen is ok and the problem is caused by the graphics card and it must be replaced or with other words the card mother together.

If you need to contact an authorized service provider. Guys can order a new mother card and replace it for you. :)

  • Qosmio F10 graphics card stopped working

    Hello
I have a F10 (almost 3 years) which has suddenly stopped working last week. I took to a local computer repair shop and was told that it will be more than 450 of my English books to make alive again. Apparently the graphics card started badly, so I did some snooping on.

Toshiba knows there F10 seem to stop working until they are 3 years old, if I called the card was will stop working so early, I wouldn't of spent almost £1400 first and spend another £450 leaves me speechless...

Can someone give me a credible response as to why all these machines seem to stop working at the same time?

Unfortunately, I cannot give a credible answer you but maybe authorized service partner. They need to know why this happen. Please, talk with them about graphics card on replacement motherboard. Maybe I'm wrong, but I heard that replacement boards have another and better graphics card.

As I wrote, make a call and pick up information on the replacement.

  • Satellite Pro L100 PSLA4: ATI graphics card crashing in half-life 2, Team Fortress 2

    Hello

I have a satellite Pro L100 (PSLA4) with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card.

During the game Team Fortress 2 and Half Life 2 Episode 2, the system breaks down frequently (screen goes black, then blue, then the computer automatically resets). After restart, Microsoft error reporting tells me that there is a problem with the card ATI display driver and recommend updating the driver.

I note that Toshiba has not released a new driver to display this map since 2005, and attempts to update via the ATI Web site do not work.
Is it possible to update the graphics driver or Toshiba has plans to release an update.
    Thank you

    Ian

    Hello

I use the driver of the * www.omegadrivers.net * site.
    It works on my laptop.

Download the right and compatible on then go to Device Manager and select the graphics card-> update

Then select Install from a list or a specific location-> don't search. I will choose the driver to install.

    All that s!

  • Qosmio G40 - graphics card keeps overheating and crashing all at stake

My nVidia 8600GT card in my laptop Qosmio G40 overheating guard and crashing when I m gaming.

It works all the games that I put on it fine, but overheating then crashes and me kicks off the games I play m.
Is it just because it s a laptop and it s inclined to do?

I tried to increase the fan speed with riva tuner and precision, but no program allows me to access the utility of fan speed.
I presume this is because it s a specific card from the laptop... I also can't find the driver for this card from nVidia updates.

    Help, please... James

    Hello!

Are you using the Toshiba display driver? This is important because the pilot factory don t have protection against overheating and the graphics chip can be damaged.

In addition, this could also be an overheating problem. If you need to clean your laptop with a jet of compressed air that you can buy at a local computer retailer.

Last but not least, I would not try to change the speed of the fan or something else. This will be controlled automatically.

    Good bye

I am looking for a new video card with 1 GB of memory, preference but is RIMM memory ram in my office, but has a different type of memory in the description of the video cards.

Is it important at all, the video card would work always?
    Thanks 1million

I put t know exactly what you want to do, but I assume that you need this card for an upgrade.
New bad guy! Laptop graphics cards are often fixed on the motherboard and cannot be deleted!
In addition, you must know that the mobile graphics cards are simply different and you can't compare these chips with adapters for desktop PCs.

  • Qosmio F60 - 10j frezzes at random and often a few seconds

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F60 - 10 days and he frezzes randomly and often a few seconds when I watch a video, I play or when I use the tv tuner.
I tried to update the drivers for video card a nvidia geoforce gt330m.

I downloaded from the homepage of nvidia but worse.
The laptop freezes completely, and I had to turn off.

I returned the old drivers and the laptop returns to the freezing of the old frequently and randomly for a few seconds also.
Recently, about a month ago this laptop freezes at least once a day completely every day.

Please can someone help me, thanks.

Have you noticed this behavior from the first day?
It is not easy to say why this happen, but these things happen very often when the HARD drive is occupied by a background as HDD scan process or something similar.

When this happens you noticed permanent activity HDD (HDD LED)?
