  • Satellite R630 - 11L refuses to turn on the backlight

I'm busy, having a glance at someone R630 - 11L who refuses to turn on the backlight. I am suspecting the lid sensor does not work correctly because the device also refuses to go to sleep if you close the lid. The only problem I have with this theory is that for the life of me I can't find the sensor.

Any ideas where it is located? Is there one on this model?

Sorry, but how do you mean with refuses to turn on the backlight?

Have you noticed all these problems with the factory settings, or you may have installed version of the OS?
With original preinstalled OS, everything should work fine.

As far as I know there must be some small hidden switch that controls all of these actions.

  • Satellite Pro 6050 refuses to turn on

    Hello

Someone has encountered this problem before? My 6050 Pro Satellite refuses to turn on.

There is no indication of activity when I press the button 'on', but when it is plugged into the "trendy area" power and "recharge battery" are turned on. I tried the same battery in another laptop and it starts well (remove a battery missed as cause of the problem).

Any thoughts... ? Your help is most appreciated.

    Hello

I think the problem is the power button. If you press it, and there is no reaction, it must be faulty. So, you can only go to a SPA to get this repaired.

  • OEM Windows XP - can I move it to a new PC? And MSE refuses to turn on real-time protection

I have been using my Windows XP for 8-9 years now (since 2004) and I am looking for an upgrade of the unit, because the specifications of my mobile phone exceeds my computer and it cannot manage tasks effectively.

I'll be able to transfer my current operating system on the new computer? The old computer is no longer to be used. I have all the original documentation for the computer (However, the license key is on the back of the CPU). I have read conflicting answers online saying that how it is against the EULA and others say that a phone call to Microsoft to check that she would work.

I do not have an upgrade of the OS, since my external 500 GB hard drive only reads on my Windows XP (I tried on a Windows Vista, Windows 7 and computer Developer Preview, all told, it has been altered) and all my programs are installed on the external hard drive. If an upgrade of the OS is necessary, it would be nice to have a tool to repair my 'corrupt' hard disk restore compatibility with other computers.

    * EDIT, this information can be shaped *.
The computer is stuck on the screen of the BIOS for a little more than 30 minutes if the manufacturer's mouse is not connected. The mouse does not work also.
In respect to the keyboard manufacturer (PSP connector) which is lacking after a quantity of time and requires Numlock/Capslock be pressed to the screen to reactivate. Every button I press while he was free is then made a leap to the computer.
I now use a PSP Converter USB for keyboard port, which now feeds my usb speakers. I also now use a combo of keyboard and mouse Microsoft Wireless 600.

MSE also recently decided to pack and to no longer offer protection in real time from the computer. I tried to solve this problem myself for the month and the program still refuses to turn on protection in real time, even after a reinstall. Here is a SS of the error code.

OEM licenses are "linked to the hip" to first on what computer it is installed.  When this computer dies or consider you otherwise out of service, the license dies with him.  Each OEM manufacturer provided a method to ensure that a transfer will not happen.  You cannot transfer it to a new computer.  To install Windows XP on a new computer, at a minimum, you will need to get a retail license for Windows XP (which are no longer available on the market).  In addition, you may find that your new machine contains chips day and components that were never supported by the drivers Windows XP - XP so maybe never run on your computer up to date.

Programs need to be reinstalled.  You cannot simply connect an external hard drive with programs installed on another machine and expect it to work.  The system registry is suitable for the material on a specific computer and its applications installed and cannot simply be moved to a computer containing a different material.

Your choice of only reasonable upgrade is to buy a new computer with an operating system that supports it and re - install your applications.  Your external drive * should * work on XP via the last Windows OS.  Try to perform an operation of "chkdsk/r" on your hard drive to make sure it is not damaged.  If it still does not respond, and then save the data elsewhere, reformat the disk on a Windows 7 computer and then put the data on the disk.

  • Re: Equium A300 - 16 c RM-70 - refuses to turn on

    Hi * types * :)

My laptop is a TOSHIBA Satellite A300 - 16 c RM-70 and was purchased in September ' 08, he was used regularly until July 2010, when it turned off and won't start.
For about 6 months before that, the laptop overheats when laying on my bed often and turn off. I had my battery tested lead charger and it works. But he has not started since that date.

When I press the power on button, the light of laptop computer startup turns.

I don't know if it's a problem of simple battery or a more serious problem.

Thank you for your help in advance guys

If you cannot start your laptop with AC power only (battery removed) that there must be serious hardware problem. When the laptop is placed on the bed of ventilation at the bottom is blocked and portable cannot be cooled properly so I think your laptop was probably overheated and lead was suddenly shut down.

On the virtual path that is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but it may be possible that your laptop is serious material injury due to overheating problems.

I think the best option for you is to contact Toshiba service and ask for help. They can check the hardware of laptops and say with certainty what can be done about it.

  • Satellite P10: Wireless Radio refuses to turn on

I got a wireless Broadcom BCM4306 (mini-PCI) adapter and put it in my laptop. The specifications of the laptop are:

Toshiba Satellite P10, 768 MB of RAM (256 upgrade) & 2.66 GHz P4 (HT disabled).

The wireless adapter works on another laptop, but not on this one as the guard software complain that the radio is turned off. In the Windows wireless network configuration, it is enabled, but the software doesn't seem to see it. The wireless switch is turned on, but the wireless light is not on i assuming that it lights up when a wireless adapter is present and active. By pressing Fn + F8 does nothing more, no logo appears on the screen for this function or makes no noise.

I have no idea what is the problem, but any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I read in the forums that covering the 11 pin and PIN 13 of the mini-pci card can make your card can be used. However, it seems that there is no way, for now, to make the change in hardware to work.
You can do a search in this forum, or if you can go on TechSpot.com forum and do a search for "Toshiba Wifi network" in "storage and networking", you will find the message in question. As for me, I got a Toshiba (g) MiniPCI card in my Tecra 9100. It works, but the hardware switch does not work. (The led is off, regardless of the position of the switch hardware, but the card works and there is absolutely no problem to connect. If you discover something, thanks for posting.
    Good luck!

  • T41p - no display / refuses subsequently turn on

    Hallo,

I would like to know what is the problem with an old book of mine.

It was having the problem do not display anything (bending), but this has been fixed 2 years ago.

Now, it does not display anything that in each case it does not start if no external monitor is connected. Now even with a connected external monitor it does not turn. He's not even trying to turn on...

What could be the problem? I'd appreciate any help really.

    Best regards

Is it possible to redistribute the GPU more than once?

The terms 'reflow' and "reball" are often used to mean the same thing, but they are not. For "redistribution", existing welding is heated and the flow is used to resolder the links, but good "reballing" requires the removal of the chip and welding, installation of new balls of Tin, then the chip in a machine reballing of heating up that the balls do many necessary soldier links.

You can try your Board to reflow again, but if it has been done before, and he wasn't, then I would recommend reballing.

  • EliteBook 2530p. Can not turn on WiFi Windows 10

    EliteBook 2530p, Windows 10 home

Ive just upgraded the machine above 10 win 10 with the help of this site. Everything works fine except one thing, I can not turn on WiFi.

The orange LED on the touch screen under the screen and the front edge of the machine are both orange and when I try to use the touch screen to turn it on nothing happens.

All other keys work fine so I don't think that's the problem. I don't know another way to activate the WiFi on this machine.

The WiFi card is recognized in Windows 10 Device Manager and I have re-installed the card and made sure the antenna cables are properly connected.

Anyone had similar problems with WiFi / Win 10 works is not on this machine model?

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    SOLVED

I'm frustrated, trying to get the WiFi works because it is a machine I was in the process of selling and I had no user file to worry about, I decided to clean install Windows 10 and re - install Windows 7.

I did this and load all nessasary drivers but no matter what I did the WiFi refused to turn on. I did several searches and HP Wireless Assistant who got the status of 'Wireless LAN' was OFF but the Start button is grayed out so I couldn't activate it.

While remaining in the wireless Assistant I hit the WiFi button on the touch screen and a message appeared telling me to unplug my Ethernet cable. As soon as it is unplugged the button power on in the Wireless Assistant has become clickable and I was able to turn on the WiFi!

So it seems that if you connect an Ethernet cable to this model of HP, the WiFi system is disabled and the only way for him help is by unplugging the Ethernet cable.

I think I'm going to stick with Win 7 because I'm still not sure that the wireless card is supported under Win 10

  • Qosmio F60 refuses to stop

When I try to stop the laptop, it refuses to turn off completely...
The screen goes black but the power button lights up and the fans go crazy.

I run a ccleaner and tried to turn the background process before you stop but nothing seems to help.
The same problem occurs EVERY time and it started happening a few days ago - before I have not had any problems.

Other suggestions at this point would be appreciated.

    Hello

I think that one or several processes that are running in the background may not be closed automatically by the Windows operating system, and I think that this is the reason why the laptop does not close properly.

The CCleaner is an interesting tool. I also use this tool and it helps to repair and clean the registry, but I think the question is more complicated, and probably only new OS install would be useful.

But try to disable some important tools in msconfig-> Startup tab.
It would be interesting to know if this could help you but you will be not successful, then a new installation of the OS might be the easier and faster way to solve this problem.

    Hello

LED LCD L 39, 4333 correctly starts up and displays PC connected via VGA.

    BUT:
If the TV is turned off for long time > 30 min - 1 h with connected PC TV refuses to turn new (power indication light remains red) running.

  • Palm Centro will not turn on

    Hello

I bought a Palm Centro refurbished about 7 months ago. In recent days he refused to turn on at all, so far I have tried pulling the battery for anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 hours and putting again. Same thing every time, the red light comes on, the screen remains blank.

I have left this phone hoked up to wall charger for more than 12 hours in a row and am quite sure that it is not a battery problem.

    Some information about this phone:

For a little more than a week before that it would scroll through hotsync indefinitely without any cables that are attached. I would like to pull the battery plug it back and the hotsync cycle jump upwards as soon as he end of initialization, it would then stay in hotsync display 'connect to computer' I would press cancel, after a few mintues it would, then he would cycle all over again.

He also seems to be corrupted in the diary entry, but appears not hardware related.

The phone is originally a reman, I purchsed it about 6 months ago and within a few weeks, I noticed that the power button was less than perfect, I ignored a month ago, when she started to I have to pull the battery to end a call the button would not register to hurry.

I called AT & T and was told that because this AI a reman, they offer only a warranty for 90 days (written near the middle of the team of specialists).

    Any suggestions are appreciated gratefully.

I doubt simple moisture could cause it to fail--it usually involves the lower part of the phone is dipped in the liquid or a good splash on it.   Users to use hair dryers on low, or ask the phone (with battery removed) under a desklamp which releases gentle heat.

I ended up exchanging back to the retailer. It was a defective product.
