My time zone appears to be locked on GMT - 4.

My time zone appears to be locked on GMT - 4.  It was my original home region but now I need to reset the time (as moved to Bermuda in London) GMT and every time I have change the time zone, it is GMT - 4.  The only way I can get the correct local time on the laptop is to disable internet time synchronization and manually add 4 hours on the GMT-4.

I am the only user and I have full administrator privileges.  I searched online and that you can not find a solution.
The laptop is new (4 weeks), it came with Windows 8 and improved the operating system to W8 Pro

Hi this could be happen when software like (deep freeze) is locked your system driver

First make sure that any software is installed in your lappy which makes your laptop like this time zone

  • When moving in different time zones, how to keep timely events?

    When I put an event in PST at the exact time in which it will happen and then change the time zone, the event moves to another time. I have not shot time zones. Some events move and others keep time. How can I get all the events to keep time?

    Events are created in the time zone that the Mac is currently defined in support of regardless of the time zone setting. When you change the time zone of the Mac, the events will appear to change the time since they will now display the event in the current time zone.

    Allowing the use of zone:

    • Adds a dropdown in the toolbar menu. You use the menu to change the time zone in which include all events. For example, an event for 12:00 Pacific time is shown at 7: 00 GMT.
    • Also allows you to set the time zone for each event. For example, if you set an event at 7: 00 GMT and then choose Pacific Time in the drop-down list in the toolbar, this event is posted at 12:00
  • Setting the time and time zone?

    Hello, I have a problem, try to change my time to standard time. When I change the time and time zone, they are locked. It won't let me uncheck to set the time manually. The time zone is set to Apple Americas / U.S. (site time.apple.com)

    IM El Capitan OS running on a Macbook Pro late 2011.

    Thank you, James.

    This isn't a time zone. It's the time protocol Server network that sets the time automatically. He is indifferent to the zone that can be set manually or by location.

    You need unlock the prefpane by clicking on the padlock and authentication. Then, you can adjust the settings.

    Hi guys,.

    I upgraded my camera yesterday. Everything works like a charm so far, but the time zone is not editable.

    I am most of the time in Austria, so I need to change the time zone GMT + 1 and it is not possible. When I try to change the time zone settings, the select list will appear and I can choose the time zone I want, but after clicking the time zone in the list, the time zone is not subject.

    Does anyone have the same problem or perhaps a work around?

  • time and time zones

    I have two children that I manage accounts on 4 different computers: 2 desktops and 2 laptops.   We live in one time zone but periodically they take their portable several time zones away to visit their grandparents. While they are gone, I want to make sure that the rules that I applied work in the zone they have. What I have to change to change the time zones as part of Windows Live?  I guess it has to do with their individual laptops, either the time zone that think that the laptop its in or its real time setting, but I have had trouble where it does not appear to be properly applied for both portable and when they come back.

    Hi Angry_Panda,

    Windows Live Family Safety follows the time and date on your computer. The time zone must be set manually on the computer clock settings so that the settings of your rules to work in the zone. To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. click on the time and date located on the side of the taskbar righmost.

    2. click on change date and time settings.

    3. click on the time zone Change.

    4. Select the appropriate time zone, and then click Ok.

    Thank you!

  • Time zones

    Okay - I'm pulling my hair out and going nowhere, even after research and reading on this for a few hours. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I need to get the current time in the United Kingdom - with summer time.

    My current code is:

    Zone londonZone = TimeZone.getTimeZone ("Europe/London");
    Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance (londonZone);
    Date DateNow = calendar.getTime ();

    Could someone explain what I appear to be wrong?

    I always seem to come at the wrong time, regardless of the settings of the DST.

    Note that all Blackberry devices, everyone, to this instance (and assuming that the unit's clock is set correctly) will get exactly the same value when they arrive at the present time by using this call:

    long currentTime = System.currentTimeMillis ();

    Time they get is GMT or UTC, UTC, according to me, but there is little difference as I understand it, at least the difference is too small to worry here.

    If the value of type long is still the same.  When they display this value, the display mechanism is usually set by default to the time zone of the device and thus factors in the correct difference from GMT and DST.

    So if you want to display the current time for an another zone hourly, all you do is zone the DateField time zone you want, and it will handle the conversion.

    With this in mind, can you explain your problem again?

    You say you want to get the current time in the United Kingdom.  How to do this will depend on what you will use this value for.

    But here's an inefficient code which may help:

    Zone londonZone = TimeZone.getTimeZone ("Europe/London");
    Calendar LONDON_CALENDAR = Calendar.getInstance (londonZone);
    an = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.YEAR);
    month = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.MONTH);
    day = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH);
    hour = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY);
    minute = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.MINUTE);
    s = LONDON_CALENDAR.get (Calendar.SECOND);

    String londonDate = Integer.toString (year) + '-' +.
    Integer.toString (month + 1 + 100) .substring (1,3) + '-' +.
    "Integer.toString (day + 100) .substring (1,3) + ' t ' +.
    Integer.toString (+ 100) .substring (1.3) of the hour + ":" +.
    Integer.toString (minute + 100) .substring (1,3) + ':' +.
    Integer.toString (s + 100) .substring (1,3);

  • Working with time zones

    Hey everybody.

    I have a problem, I have some information that I get from an external source, which is a date UTC Epoch.

    I want to see the/Modify on a DateField

    The problem is, if I display it on a DateField, default peripheral lag is added, so I'm on GMT + 2, and the era time I get is 15:00, 17:00 it appears.

    I want it to be displayed at 15:00.

    now, I know that the time zone is registered in the java.util.Date object, you can get away with DateFormat.format)

    is there a way I can set the time zone to GMT dates?

    Thank you very much

  • Time zone - UTC

    I was able to set the date and time on pictures easily enough in LR3. However, there are two questions:

    • I can't see or edit the UTC. Is there a setting that I need to, or a specific place, I have to look?

    • When I use the metadata. Change the Capture time changes
      • Date time Original
      • Date time digitized
      • Date time

    I think it change shouldn't Date time digitized. I don't know if he needs to change the Date time because we don't know how that differs from the Original Date of the time.

    I can't see or edit the UTC. Is there a setting that I need to, or a specific place, I have to look?

    By "UTC", are you referring to the part of the time zone of the date fields in the metadata, for example DateTimeOriginal and DateTimeDigitized, with a format that often appears in the form:

    2010:07:02 14:22:51 + 07:00

    The "+ 07:00 ' is called the zone. (UTC for 'Universal time' standards and is very similar to the old term for Greenwich Mean Time - GMT- + 0:00 time zone which includes London.)

    Here's what I learned about how far LR 3 manages the time zones:

    -3 LR never displays the time zone - it simply removes the zone before the time display.  (In most other programs, when a time is displayed without a time zone, it means generally the local time of the person using the program, but this is not the case in LR 3.)

    -When you sort the photos in the display of the time grid capture, they are classified by "local time", i.e. time with any zone scrapped.   If a photo taken at 10:00:00 + 00:00 comes after a photo taken 09:00 - 07:00, even if it is made after the first in absolute time.

    -There is no way to change the time zone in the metadata.

    -Metadata > edit Capture time does not change the time zone.

    -Metadata > edit Capture time > shift by the value number of hours (time zone setting) is not adjust the time zone - it simply adds or subtracts the given number of hours of time.

  • List based on the system date or time zone user

    Hello

    We have been questioning a service request list based on the timestamp created with criteria = today.

    But the result is inconsistent. Sometimes records created within today do not appear on the list.

    What is the definition of SOD ' today ' today '? It applies to the date system (time US) or Pacific time zone (for example the + 8) user?

    Thank you, SAB.

    Hi Sab!

    I did some tests and found that this is directly related to the user zone set on the user details page.

    I am with paris (gmt + 1) time zone, and when you go to the created SR list today, I have a lot of records.
    I set the time zone of eniwetok (gmt - 12). It is 11 now in france, therefore, with this zone, it is p 11 m yesterday.

    And when I went back on the list (after the closing session and connection), there is no trace!

    I hope it's useful!

  • Cannot set the manual time zone on ipad

    IOS is updated. I'm try cnange my time zone manually. Whenever I select a city in new Madrid for example, the time zone remains as Sydney. I am unable to change it. Auto zone has been disabled because it acknowledges that Sydney. Looked far from a solution, but nobody else seems to have this problem.

    I think that 'set automatically' refers to the time, not the time zone. Apple devices are quite picky about having the correct time zone for the location, then you will not be able to change it.

  • I use thunderbird in the New Zealand House and time zone settings, and when I invite people NZ for a new event it automatically creates a calendar for UTC entry

    I bought my computer laptop to the United Kingdom and installed Thunderbird there initially, but remains in NZ and reset home location and time zone accordingly. However, when I send invites to an event it resets the invite calendar for the recipient to UTC/GMT. My record of entry and invite calendar still shows what I entered in, but not their end. And it's the same thing in reverse, they send me something for 15:00, I get like 03:00.

    ... to restore the original location and time zone accordingly.

    Where exactly did you do that?

  • AirPort Extreme - set time zone

    Greetings:

    I have seen a lot of traffic on the change of the parameter of time zone in an AirPort Extreme, but I can't find an answer.  It seems that it may be impossible.  There is debate if even a hard reset of the device clears the set time zone and allow it to be reset.  It also seems to be no access to the device to terminal implemented a manual correction.

    I left US mountain for the Eastern US time zone time zone.  I have an AirPort Extreme running firmware version 7.6.7 and use version 6.3.6 AirPort Utility.  My AirPort Extreme needs to operate in bridge, because of the way the Internet is provided by our service.  I use the 'access control Timed"to limit the time that my young children are able to access the Internet.

    It should be a simple matter to define the time zone of my AirPort Extreme to my current location (or so it should automatically and reliably).  I don't know if the bridge mode interferes with the ability of the device to find its time zone.

    Can anyone offer advice (other than to apply an offset from my control access timed two hours time difference)?  Can the Genius Bar at my local store to fix?

    Thank you in advance,

    WILX

    Unfortunately, Apple has removed a number of parameters that they feel that the users do not need. Setting the time is one of them.

    Finally, your airport will have the exact time, but it usually takes about 6 weeks for that to happen.  Until then, you will need to manually adjust the access delay settings to compensate for.  When the time of the correction is made, then you have to adjust again timed access.

    We have seen some reports from users who claim that resetting the airport to return to the default settings and then setting them up again will fix the issue of the time, but it has not always worked when I tried it.

    If the 'genius' can solve this problem quickly, then he won the title.
