    There is a hidden menu support with a reset replacement procedure that can help: power on, press both the # and * buttons.  The screen should say something like "enter the special sequence".  Currently, press 1 then 2 then 3 which will bring up a menu of support.  Use of the < and=""> the arrow keys to navigate the menu that says "Hardware reset" or some similar.   Once reset the hardware has been selected, press OK, OK.  Once it is finished press Cancel (X) to move up one level in the menu, then scroll down to find "ink initialization", then press OK.

    This model has a permanent printheads which cannot be deleted (or replaced). Unfortunately, I didn't know all the solutions beyond the reset of the printer, if the option is to fix the printer.

    As you have noted, it is not likely to be economic for this model.  If contact you HP they may offer a discount on a printer replacement, although I've seen people indicate that careful shopping can beat the discount price of HP.  AFAIK there is that no HP models currently use fixed print heads, these have replaceable user in current models.

    The "abnormal termination" message will occur any time the printer has an error with a code (0 x.rror) assert condition.  At this point, the confused printer and do not realize that the power to close properly.

  • Ink has failed

    Today I bought a brand new 61 ink for my printer HP combo pack.  Everything in packing and packaging looked normal.  When I got home and opened the package, I noticed that package of sheets for the black ink has been open and cartridge had no protective on tape.  I always pulled out of the package and put it in my printer because it is brand new and supposed to work.  He did not.  The printer gave me the incompatible cartridge message.  So I took it out of the printer; put everything back together the way he came and went to the local Wal-Mart store where I bought it one hour before and they told me that I could not get an Exchange or my money back because the package has been opened.  There is no way of knowing that inside the packaging inks were damaged without opening the package.  I had to buy another package of ink because I really need my printer.  I still think that I deserve a credit in the amount I paid initially because there is no way that I can use the cartridge is damaged.  I need someone at the company to contact me and lead to a fair solution to this situation.  I have pictures of the packaging and the cartridge as I found it inside the box when I first opened it.

  • Z3200ps: Ink system purging units?

    I might have to purge the ink in my printer Z3200ps. Only one color really, but I don't know if I can serve only one color without purge all. My yellow ink cartridge failed without prompting me to replace it and now my yellow ink line is empty. I saw mention on this forum about installation print heads and I have used myself when setting up my printer, but I can't find anything on their purchase for the Z3200 for this type of situation.

  • HP Deskjet 3000: I can't get my Deckjet 3000 to work with my new 61XL ink cartridge

    I always bought HP 61 ink cartridges for my printer HP deskjet 3000 and have never had a problem, I recently bought the XL 61 because cartridge that I was printing a lot of things, but every time I put the new cartridge in I get an error message and I don't understand why.

    XL cartridges are certainly more profitable and should work. I understand that you see an error message when you try to use the 61XL, I can help you.

    My Photosmart HP required in new cartridges, I have inserted four new and the printed photos smeared ink; the ink is out on our fingers.  Put old cartridges check, printed in pink.  Reintegrated new cartridges, printed photos still smeared ink.  Please notify.  (I got these cartridges from the HP site).

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see your HP Photosmart 7520 gives you a cartridge error "one or more of your cartridges appear to be missing or damaged." You have no Photo black cartridge inserted.

    The answer to your question is Yes, should not have all of the cartridges installed in order to continue printing. The reason is that ink system draws from all cartridges, for the maintenance of the tasks etc.. To get a better understand click on the link below:

  • All-in-one Deskjet 1510: "cartridge has no" deskjet hp1510

    I just replaced the black cartridge for the first time on my deskjet HP 1510. Before replacing the status for my tricolor cartridge supplies still show a lot of ink. I use the official HP deskjet 92 black ink cartridge and the cartridge three-color 61.

    After replacing the black ink cartridge, the two lights on the printer ink started to blink and the HP utility application on my computer States:

    Device status: ink cartridge problem

    Alternative: Cartridge failed - tricolor ink cartridge failed - black ink.

    There is no change in status, and I'm unable to print.

    The e-all-in-one printer Deskjet 1510 uses the black 61-61 color cartridges as indicated on the site of HP SureSupply here.

    There was an old series PSC 1510 which could have used the 98 black cartridge, but the HP 98 is not compatible with your printer.

    You need to replace the cartrdige balck with a 61 HP or HP 61xl cartridge.

    I had just come out of the original 'color cartridges' when more ink message came... went and bought new... returned... "tray" cartridge is on the far right and not in the position to put in...

    machine does not off... always open Panel... message says, 'open door '... When I close it, it tells me I have empty spots for cartridges?  I did the same thing for the black cartridge about a month ago and it worked fine...

    No changes to the system in the months...  Help.

    I understand that you get some problems with your Officejet 6700 Premium. Please make sure that the printer is connected to a live wall, not a surge protector.

    I would suggest following this HP document on a 'cartridge problem', "Ink cartridge failed" or not "compatible ink cartridges" error. Even if you do not receive this type of error messages, this document provides useful troubleshooting steps.

    Also, try to reset the printer.

  • Photosmart 3180 prints the worksheet to test each time it is turned on

    Once a black ink cartridge failed, I tried both black cartridges HP no and neither worked and now put in a HP92.  This works.  Since the first wrong cartridge has been the printer prints the complete test page whenever it is turned on.  Is there a way to prevent it from doing this?

    Once I replaced a magenta cartridge impoverished, the yellow cartridge which was full of 25% was supported by my printer to run out. After replacing a yellow, blue those amounting to 75% suffered the same discrimination. Now if this is the way for HP to make me buy more cartridges, then I'm sorry to know that they have opted for the mentality of microsoft to force consumers to buy more expensive stuff indirectly.  What do you suggest to me that I should do?

    I would recommend that you remove all the cartridges, close the access door, unplug the printer and follow the steps in this a 'cartridge problem', "Ink cartridge failed" or not "compatible ink cartridges" Error Message on the printer paper to clean the contacts of the cartridge as well as the printer. Once done, plug the printer in and wait for the printer to say the cartridges are all missing or damaged.

    I suggest that insert you one at a time and close the access door after you enter each of them to ensure that they are properly recognized. If all goes well, that should help with any of the false readings on the printer.

    I have the same problem with my printer Officejet 6700 Premium. I just replaced all the cartridges with HP new ones. The printer is now going through the motions but does not print blank pages. This happens for all what I am trying to print including Diagnostics pages. The printer is a little older a year is not under warranty. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I saw your other threads, and I understand that you have completed all the procedures listed here troubleshooting: printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages without success.

    I would like you to follow the steps below:

    1. reset of the printer, please make sure that you plug the printer directly into the wall, do not use a surge protector or power bar, they can cause the printer is in an error state and lose features of base over time.

    2 a 'cartridge problem', "Ink cartridge failed" or not "compatible ink cartridges" Error Message appears on the all-in-one, I know you did the cleaning steps, but, if you please, reinstall the cartridges and perform all THE steps listed

    3. now go ahead and run HP print and Scan Doctor- it has been designed to provide users with HP and features troubleshooting fix needed to solve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan the products related to Windows computers.

    I understand that you are not able to print diagnostics from the menu on the front panel as well, but want to see if the PSDR detects all conflicts in the software or drivers.

    Please let me know the results.
