• Dreamweaver CS5 very slow after Windows update 10

  I have recently upgraded ("retired") on the windows 10 and met with a multitude of problems with the programs I had installed before the upgrade.

  Unfortunately, after about a week of race successfully dreamweaver cs5 I ran into a major issue. There are currently about 45 seconds in my cursor and the text as he tried to use dreamweaver. I update all the current drivers for dreamweaver cs5, but this has not solved the problem. Some things to note:

  I currently have 8 GB of RAM, and the system tells me that I'm using about 1/3 of it.

  I have a 4960 k 3.5 ghz i5 processor

  Graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD series 7900 / 3 gb

  I also have dreamweaver and the operating system installed on a SSD

  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you have had similar problems. I understand the CS5 is an older version of Adobe, but it worked fine for about a week before another windows 10 run updates.

  In order to not - where the issue seems to have been resolved. The only thing I changed was my fps graphics card to the max of what I had already done but it seems that it has not applied the first time around.

  Not sure if this has actually resolved anything but dreamweaver seems to work a lot better now.

  DW dislike html errors, actually, even tiny errors that browsers completely ignore can send DW in spasms. Browse your page of the validator to http://validator.w3.org to ensure that you are not missed something simple, especially a closing "or ending tag like.

  However, in order to organize my hard drive, I have placed all my apps CS5.5 in a subfolder, including Dreamweaver.

  Using the help > update function, I tried to update using the 11.5.3 version, which failed.

  I get the error message is the following:

  Is there an update yesterday for Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 that updated correctly on my computer.

  However, today, the Adobe Application Manager wants to install Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.3.  It is an older version.

  Everyone knows this?

  I'm on a Mac Pro OS x 10.6.7 computer.

  Sorry for any frustration this to you all.

  I want to clarify that I didn't blame this issue on your computers or you people directly. As I said, I just couldn't see the same question.

  We now believe that the problem is with the files created by Adobe software on your computer. These are Adobe updater (file AAMUpdater) preference files that others have mentioned the deletion to solve the problem.

  It is unclear so far what could have caused this glitch / corruption in preference, files but it did not affect the majority of users.

  The solution that sammorris81 mentioned, with instructions for Mac OS and Windows, has now been documented here:

  If someone who experiences this problem is ready to send their AAMUpdater file for review, please send me a PM (it does not contain personal identifying information). We would be grateful, because it will help you avoid these problems in the future.

  So Windows 7 SP1. I tried to rename the follder config and start again and it does not work.

  Problem is when I select a file from windows Explorer, then go to Dreamweaver, choose the destination folder and editing/paste is disable, reverse operation is the same, selecting file in dreamweaver, editing/copy, go to the folder of windows Explorer and paste doesn´t work too.   My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.

  I can't get Dreamweaver CS5 to open. I did everything I knew to try. I have reinstalled twice and assured that this is the last update.

  When I go to open it, nothing happens. It is not yet trying to open. It gives me no errors or anything to work with. I know that's not the link to the program because I was able to follow it to the program folder files. Try to open the application it leads to the same result.

• I uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5.5 and reinstalled and now I can not find or open my files websoite.

  When I installed first my Dreamweaver CS5.5, I took a class and using my instructor (4 years ago). When I tried to open and update my site yesterday (as I do every year for my small business) I got a message from Java Update I did.  Then, I got a message to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver I've done.  Now I can open the app, but I can not open my Web site files.  I see them on the menu, but they do not open.  I am on a Mac with os x Yosemite.  I think it has something to do with the managed sites, but after trying several things, I did more than a mess of things and I can not always open my files.  My site is still running on the remote server, but I can't do the updates that I need for my Web site for 2016. I wish there was someone in the Milwaukee area, that I could go to help me with this or someone who can guide me through it over the phone.

  I think currently to a subscription of the CC to Dreamweaver so that I can redesign a site, but the customer maintains and updates their content and will not be upgraded. Can they change their website using Dreamweaver CS5 once I have start to edit files in Dreamweaver CC?

  Dreamweaver is a glorified text editor and as such can be used to edit HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, XML and a bunch of other documents. The reason why I say this is because, regardless of the structure of a Web site, any version of Dreamweaver allows to change it. Where the difference is where it allows you to use the deprecated code or where it guides you to use contemporary code.

  In short, Yes, your customer can continue to use CS5

  The problem with getting CS6 is well, it is now something like 7 versions removed from the 'current' and no longer received any kind of updates. It is essentially a legacy software sold "as-is".

  The Dreamweaver application uses these files for the operation of the program, they are not the version of Java used by your browser.  This version is stored elsewhere on your system.  It is possible for applications to need different versions of Java to run and to simultaneously run multiple versions.  If you are worried about the version that runs, you could update DW to the latest version.  4 releases in DW have been since the era where CS 5.5 was released.
