Your best option is to try to reinstall Windows 7:
If Windows 7 is pre-installed:
New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows. If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.
------------------------------------
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...
For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power
Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".If you have a retail copy of Windows 7 installed, use your reinstallation disk to perform a new installation:

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.
Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

I am posting this from my laptop.
Whenever I try to start my office, I gives me the options to start windows normally, last good configuration, safe mode, etc. known. None of these work. Upstairs, he asked that I get my Windows restore disk, reboot and repair. Well, that works either, because I was not able to load ANY media on my computer for a while now. I don't know how it happened, but since I have never really used the CD for nothing, I paid little attention to her. Now, I'm screwed. I can do to fix this without having to replace anything?
Thank you.

Hello
You can borrow and use a Microsoft Retail or system builder OEM Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.
Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
Then make a bootable USB key with it to reinstall the operating system (see method 2):

It shows only 10 of Windows that is not downloading. Indeed updates get installed OK, but no progress of any dind is shown. I accidentally installed windows vista twice. How can I fix?
Long story but when I turn on my computer, there is a black screen that asks you what windows vista I want use - the one I serve or one that I installed just by accident.
Hello MichelleBoyes,
You will now see a menu 'dual boot '. You must delete the partition that contains the second (accidental) copy of Windows, then you need to remove the second entry in the start menu.
The first is relatively simple, just locate the partition with your accidental copy of Windows installed and reformat the partition or delete the partition if you do not use this for anything in particular.
The second part is a little harder if you editing the BCDedit file. However, there is an easier way and this is to download the free version of EasyBCD http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/EasyBCD.shtml
Install EasyBCD and then run it. Once EasyBCD works click on the option change Boot Menu. Remove the operating system menu option that you accidentally installed (before doing this, it is best to bring the right one by checking the way in which they appear in the dual boot menu) and then click Save changes. Now, quit EasyBCD and restart your PC. You should now boot directly to your original operating system and the dual boot menu should be gone.
Click on this link http://neosmart.net/gallery/album/view/neosmart/EasyBCD/EasyBCD+2.0/ to see some screenshots of the application of EasyBCD. This will help familiarize yourslef with the software.

Vista Windows
"randall38" wrote in message News: b36ad638-74fb-4791-935f-dbb1f50a047e...Vista Windows
There are three ways to correct this(1) back to the original installation - assuming that the one who did the installation just ran the upgrade rather than a custom installation (is there a "windows.old. This folder?)(2) buy a copy of Windows 7, which corresponds to the current installation and use the key from that to make your authentic system(3) use your manufacturer to return to the initial installation system recovery disks.Note that options 1 and 3 can lead to data loss - so make sure that you back up your data on external backup first!
