Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

I have a HP laptop with Windows 7 (OS) with 64 bit, but very slow. Can you suggest a way to start my fast pc? Most of the time it doesn't quite work.

    Hello

There are a number of possible reasons, your computer may run slowly - virus infection or malware, missing to defragment the hard drive, too many programs loading at startup - and all with different causes / solutions. So here goes:

Virus/Malware - Download, install and run these scanners (only Avast so you do not have your own antivirus installed):

    Malwarebytes': http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html .

    SuperAntiSpyware: http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html .

    Avast Antivirus: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html .

Disk Defragging - install and run this app: http://download.cnet.com/Auslogics-Disk-Defrag/3000-2094_4-10567503.html .

Startup programs - install this application, then select start only the programs you need to run at startup, as your antivirus, firewall, but not your Disk Defragmenter (examples):

    Splash Guard: http://download.cnet.com/Startup-Guard/3000-2239_4-10958203.html.

Also, your system's drivers are up-to-date? Updated the driver can also slow down your system. Go to HP.com and insert the complete your laptop model number in the search box to find your latest drivers.

Let me know if these speed up your pc.

    Kind regards

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Assuming that you are talking about disk space from in the guest OS. You are probably using an MBR partition table, which limits the maximum usable disk space to ~ 2 TB. In order to use the entire disk space, you need a GPT partition table.

    Hi Paul,.

I appreciate the efforts to try to solve the problem. For us to best help you this question, we ask the following information.

    1. What is the exact computer model number Lenovo Q190?

    2. Do you use Internet Explorer to access the Internet? If Yes, then it is a modern Internet explorer or the desktop version of Microsoft Internet Explorer?

    3. Have what bandwidth restriction measures you taken to try to resolve the problem?

You can see the link given below to provide us with the exact model number.

    http://shop.Lenovo.com/us/en/desktops/Lenovo/q-series/Q190/#tab-customize

You might face this problem because of damaged or obsolete network driver. I suggest following the steps below, if you use the Internet Explorer browser and then check if it helps you.

Method 1: Run Internet Explorer resolution of Performance problems

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooting Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter.

You have a number of files mutifragmented and your system would benefit from a few selected system restore points. cCleaner is the best tool for this.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.

You must ensure that you are defragmenting regularly. Defraggler is a freeware tool that is better than the now outdated Defragmenter supplied by Microsoft with Windows XP.

Download cCleaner and Piriform Defraggler, rather than the alternative. Instead, do not replace the use just of Microsoft Defragmenter Defraggler. The Microsoft Defragmenter is also a useful supplier of reports. Can you provide a supplemental report when you run cCleaner and Defraggler.

Your figure of validation of the 1037342 fees is relatively high for XP but wll below the RAM installed. McAfee can cause problems of performance on a Windows XP computer. I suggest that set you up an alternative freeware like Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG free 2012.

    Download AVG rather than Cnet.
