  I changed my configuration file to run the PHP and it works very well; I was able to set up the tables MySQL using Terminal Server. So what else should I look for? My local info, remote info, and the test server info all point to my local site directory. Prefix of the URL is http://127.0.0.1/~myname/

  David, your answer was most useful. Find how to make the symbolic link was my next challenge, but I got it and it works! In the Terminal, I found that there was a /tmp/mysql.sock but nothing to/var/mysql/same not a directory for mysql. So I had to create one and then make the link - s. I also had to use the superuser permissions to do.

  On a Mac 10.4.10, here's what you do - in the Terminal
  CD /var/
  sudo mkdir mysql
  CD (to return to the root)
  sudo ln-s /tmp/mysql.sock /var/mysql/mysql.sock

  At any time, you can run the ls command to see all the files and directories in the current directory, so you can keep track of you. Always press cd (enter) to return to the home (root).

  Now when I return to Deamweaver, I can set up a connection to my databases and see them in the list!

  Cause

  This problem can occur if an ESX host's IP address is changed while being managed by vCenter Server.

  Check the cause

  To check the cause of the problem:

  1. Log in as root to the ESX host using a SSH client.
  1. In the file etc/opt/vmware/vpxa/vpxa.cfg, find the IP address of the host. The entry looks like:

     
     10.21.48.121
     

     Note: for more information about editing the files, see installation in VMware ESX configuration files (1017022).

  Troubleshooting

  If the IP address is incorrect, perform the following steps in order. If the operation does not resolve the problem, continue to the next step. Don't skip a step.

  1. Disconnect and then reconnect the host:
  1. Right click on the ESX host in vCenter Server and click Disconnect.
  1. Reconnect the ESX host in vCenter Server.
  1. Restart the VirtualCenter agent on the ESX host:
  1. Stop the service of vpxa with the command:

     # service vmware-vpxa stop

  1. Open the /etc/opt/vmware/vpxa/vpxa.cfg file in a text editor and correct the IP address of the ESX host.
  1. Start the service of vpxa with the command:

     # service vmware-vpxa start

     Note: for VMware ESXi, you may have to restart all the management agents. For more information, see restart the agents on an ESX or ESXi Server (1003490) management .

  1. Rebuild the VirtualCenter agent on the ESX host configuration file:

  1. Right click on the ESX host in vCenter Server and click Disconnect.

  1. Backup the file vpxa.cfg with the command:

     # mv /etc/opt/vmware/vpxa/vpxa.cfg /etc/opt/vmware/vpxa/vpxa.oldcfg

  1. Add the ESX host disconnected to the server vCenter inventory.

  Sorry, I realized I probably put this on the wrong forum. I also managed to solve the problem by installing the latest version of the Broadcom management programs on the site of Broadcom. (v15.0.15.1 worked for me. v15.0.14.1 was the offending version that came with the server.)

  Try to re-create the hosts file.

  Open Notepad as administrator (click right on the Notepad icon or shortcut and click Run as admin) and type the following information in it:

  127.0.0.1 localhost

  : 1 localhost

  The '1' in the '127.0.0.1' must be in the first column of the line and there must be at least one space between "127.0.0.1" and "localhost". In the second line, there must be at least one space between ": 1" and "localhost".

  Save the file with name "hosts" in the C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc folder.

  You seem to have a hard drive problem. Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information). Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Not to place the cursor in the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new information file system each time system information is available. You must allow a minute or two before the file is completely filled before exporting a copy. • Can't connect to local MySql through Dreamweaver 8

  My problems started as suggested by the title with connection to MySql and get the error that MySql modules were not loaded etc. I know that MySql is ok I checked through Navicat & MySql Administrator, can create tables, add records etc.
  
  Then I looked at the config PHP, apache works and can check phpinfo() page. But when I change the loaded extensions, nothing changes in the output of phpinfo. My global config is:

  In the phpinfo() page it says that my php.ini location is c:\windows that is incorrrect it lies in c:\php. There is no other file php.ini on my machine. If I move the PHP.ini in c:\windows I get my phpinfo() page, no errors are just a message in the lower left corner of Firefox.
  
  I downloaded and I use the last MySql connectors php_mysql.dll and libmysql.dll. I have worked on this for the last two days and have considered installing WAMP, but don't want to water my installation of MySql and Apache.

• BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to Exchange hosted for Contacts/calendar with Optus

  I just changed from Vodafone to Optus who now looks like a bad move.

  I have a hosted exchange account and account with myhosting.com extra blackberry.  I have had my mail, calendar and contacts all sync between my laptop, iPad and Blackberry.

  Since the evolution of the Optus, I can only synch emails.  They say that I need BES that will cost me a $49 / month.  I saw also sometimes activation of trade via the device settings on my Torch but which has now disappeared.  I used it to try to activate directly with the blackberry from MyHosting but server who kept not.  I suspect that optus blocks maybe authentication in some way.

  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  The solution seems to be NOT register with Optus!

  Optus will provide the BES if I go with an extra $49 / mth while Vodafone will do it free of charge.

  In addition, Optus refuse to honor the 10 days cooling off period because I opened the box and took the phone to make sure that everything works.

  I now have a complaint with the Ombudsman of the telecommunications industry.

  None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We double-checked all of them and we did everything right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Might need to factor 6 which did not exist in the 4? Something that is not in the SiteSetup but in a hidden dialog box?

  I can also download my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And like I said that DW CS4 works very well. So the problem is not with my host, sound with DW CS6 in particular.

  You are most likely missing something fairly simple (some goofy box cache you in some menus random). The best way to solve this problem, without playing 20 questions...

  1 open the site in DWCS4 and go to Site > Manage Sites > export to create a your site settings .ste file.

  2. close DWCS4 and open DWCS6

  3. go to the Site > Manage Sites > Import to import the .ste file to create a new site at DWCS6

  This will create an exact copy of your CS4 settings in CS6. If it still does not work, let know us and someone should have another idea for you.
