Name of the catalog of output on large product page layout

Someone met by means of exit the catalog name on the great product page layout?

I see the closest is using jQuery to analyze the crumb of bread or the url. Ideally, I would like to do this so I can do some modifications of css on the page of the product based on what catalogue it is in.

Any ideas?

Market, this sound is using Javascript. Post the solution here for all those who need it. In the example below, .main is my main div that I applied to classname. It will take the last part of the url and apply it as a class to the my div with the class .main. Note: there may be questions here if your urls are oblique lines.

  • Why the name of the catalog is not visible in LR3?

It seems to make sense to me that if you work on more than a catalog (like I am now deciding to do in LR, rather than a SINGLE large catalog), as I at least would be able to see the name of the catalog somewhere on the interface (let's just above the menu bar).

Instead, she is totally hidden, or so it seems and becomes apparent when you try to open a different catalog or another similar operation, and then you can realize which catalog you opened.

    Jez,

Mine says "Lightroom-3 - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom - database library ' where 'database Lightroom-3"is the name of my catalog." This changes when I open a different catalog with a different name.

Is "Lightroom-3", the name of the catalog you opened in your example?

    Ja.

  • How to change the name of the catalog

I used a 'Test' Catalog.lrdat to try to correct an error in the collection.

    Fortunately, it succeeded.

I would like to change the name of the catalog, including backups, but the recent problems make me uncomfortable. Is it as simple as "rename all including the original copies and backups?

I'm on iMac and 10.10.5 using LR 2015.3.

    Vince

Using the Finder, replace it. LRCAT file for your desired name.

Then rename the 'Preview' folder using the same naming convention of names (your catalog name + "previews.lrdata").

There is no need to rename the backup as long as you remember that you have changed the name of the file if you still need to do a restore.

After you rename the catalog, you will need to manually point LR to the catalog to use since it will find one with the old name.

  • Name of the catalog

I currently have 4 catalogs in Lightroom, and I can add more.

Is there a way to display the name of the catalog, say, at the top of the window, in any module?  While I'm working on the photo editing, I would like to be reminded of this catalogue I am, especially if I have the same images in more than one catalog.

You can see the name of the catalog in the bar of the window if you are not using full screen. Press F to scroll through the modes full screen, until you see the bar of the window. This is true for me on Mac and XP. I can't confirm for Vista, but it must be the same.

    Hello

If someone uses BI Publisher 10 g for burst yet, they can use the hash function in SQL and apply the same on the KEY column in the bursting of query and the query report so that the output being sent by electronic mail file will not have the real key in it.

    An example is as below ' rawtohex (DBMS_CRYPTO. Hash (UTL_I18N. STRING_TO_RAW (CCA. CUST_AC_NO, 'AL32UTF8'), 2)) '

  • name of the file to output CSV & point.

    Hello

I have a report and compatible csv filename-help output.the say: specify a name for the export file. If no name is specified, the name of the region is used followed by the .csv extension.
OK, file name is not specified, and is my name-region

    Kundenrechnung Nr. & P35_X_RECHNR.

P35_X_RECHNR is a hidden element and works fine in regionsname, as regionsname example looks like Kundenrechnung Nr. 719
but when I download the file, the file name is Kundenrechnung Nr. & P35_X_RECHNR... CSV
How can I use my point hidden in the name of the csv file?

    [email protected]

    Hi Christian,

in your case, there is a timing issue: substitution for the title of region is part of the process in the region as is the name of the file. There is no double-substitution at that time here. Imagine the current state to be filename: = NVL (substitute (filename), region_title) where region_title has the value that is given to the rendering process.

We are referencing an element of page hidden as filename directly, for example '& PX_FILENAME... '. CSV '.
The value of the element is calculated by a method of executed page 'On Submit - after calculations' and Validations, and works very well. You can try to put the name of the file to be 'Kundenrechnung Nr. & P35_X_RECHNR... CSV' for P35_X_RECHNR must contain the value appropriate at this time.

  • Change the name of the folder 'Images' output before its publication?

Hi, is it possible to change the name of the 'images' folder that contains all of the images involved in the project before I publish the project?

As far as I can tell, if I change the name of the folder "images" of a project which has been published, it will not pull up one of the images in the future. (when I saw in a browser, etc.).

If there was a way to change the name of this loan account, it would help and ensure our pull images from the correct folders.

    Thanks - Scott.

  • What is the name of this catalog? -for Mac OSX 10.6

I have a laptop running OSX 10.4.11 and LR 2.3 shows the bar at the top of the active window with red, yellow and green dots on the left.  IN the Center is the name of the catalog that I opened.  Large.

But on my machine main, a tower running OSX 10.6.1, LR 2.3 fills the screen with the active window, so the top edge is the black LR pane with the module on the right names.

Two of them have the menu letter background white/black bart to the very, very high.

Is it possible that I can have LR display the name of the catalog on both machines?  I try to get myself organized and know where I would be a very good thing.

What happens if you press the F key a short time?  Looks like you are using full-screen.

  • Lightroom could not save the catalog

I get the following error when trying to save my catalog:

Lightroom could not save the name of the catalog 'Catalogue Lightroom'.

    I use Lightroom CC 2015.5

I have over 300 GB of free space on my drive.  I have more than 3 GB of photos.

    Integrity checking,

    Copy of catalog

    Catalog optimization

    The Catalog backup compression

Any ideas on what to do next?

I had a chat with Adobe session live support.  She has tried everything that you guys recommended then asked me to delete a bunch of files on my C drive because it was pretty full.  She said that this drive should be at least 2 x the size of the free catalog.  Once I cleaned stuff backup succeeded.  Thank you all.

  • my photos on an external drive. my catalog is also stored there, (in the case where I have to change computers. where are stored my backups to the catalog? (can't find them!

as noted, my pix is on an external drive (pc), my catalogs are on the same drive. where are my backups being stored i cant seem to find them. If I open the folder lightroom with the name of the catalog on the outside, all I see is a bunch of files labeled 1,2,3, etc. and has, b, c.

shouldn't there be a folder labeled bacvkups?

If you have enabled the option to make catalog backups (you?) then your backups are in any case, indicate when the backup dialog box is displayed when you close Lightroom. If you enable the option to make backups of catalog, then you have not all backups.

Yoou can use the search function of your operating system to find the files on all hard disks that have a name that ends with. LRCAT to find all possible backups.

Note: the functionality of catalog in Lightroom backup makes a Backup of your file to catalog only. He doesn't have backups of your photos, you have to do it through other methods.

Note: backups SHOULD go on a different drive than the originals; you make a terrible mistake if you put them on the same disk as the original.

  • Years of frustration, still no closer to finding or rename the catalog

If you can help me, it will be a monumental help with a task that has failed time and time again, especially because of the complexity.

Problem: I want to rename my catalog file and open the file by default. He has somehow a new name while I tried to use Lightroom on the road and then put those pictures in the existing catalogue at home on an external where lies my main calalog.

So now I see that I can rename my catalog at the finder level, so easy, except that... where is this catalogue? I have no idea where the catalogue is that Lightroom uses to open by default.

I guess, if I could find it, I'd be halfway there at least.

Assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated. In addition, during the search of these forums for 'where is my catalogue?' there is no direct answer on the subject, does that mean that I'm the only one who can not find my catalog at the level of the viewfinder? Why Adobe constitute a 'see the catalog in the finder' in the drop-down list of files so that users can quickly when the book is?

    TIA,

    Ken

If you are on a Mac - right-click (or press control and click if you have a one button mouse) on the name of the catalog in the upper part of the Lightroom window.  It will show you the directory structure, select the parent folder and finder opens.

If you are on Windows - do right click the name of the catalog in the upper part of the Lightroom window.  Choose 'Location of the catalog Show' (I think that's what it's called) and it will be opened in Explorer.

    Help-

I'm doing a new catalog for each photo project

now, I can't open one of my most important (the last time July 4 open, last backup July 4)

It would be tragic as there are has 2000 already published photos in it.

    Can you help me?

I already tried to open a new. He worked

I already tried to open others. He worked

I read to reinstall lightroom 4 - did not what I'm worried about losing more files.

    Please help, urgent!

    Thank you

With Lightroom closed. Go to your user_my photos_lightroom folder and see if there is a file with the same name as the catalog with a LOCKING .lock extension, if yes remove the file locking and you should then be able to open the catalog.

  • Compiled CHM file does not reflect the name of the new project

I have read many responses of experts to positions and have found them extremely useful is. However, I have not seen one that solves my problem.

I have the HTML HR RH8 Version. I renamed a project through 1) file - rename project and 2) Single Source Layouts - main Layout - Properties - output folder and file name.

Two problems are: 1) the name of the project file still reflects the old name of project and 2) the CHM file still reflects the old name of the project.

Therefore, the output help the user displays a still the former name of the project in the title bar.

Generated files like the RoboHelpHTML project file have been changed for the new name of the project, just like RENAME the PROJECTS using says it should. However, the CHM file does not reflect the new name of the project as it says it should.

    (1) can I change the name of the folder created when I compiled the help by exact name file?

    (2) can I change the FILE name in the window SELECT OUTPUT FOLDER AND FILE name?

    (3) I can / should I rename the names of table of contents and Index of the old project name for the new name of the project? (Help says changing the project name does not change these file names and he didn't.)

None of these measures will correct the problem? I appreciate any help you can give.

    Welcome to our community

    Try file > project settings.

And if that fails, try the pod project configuration, windows and change the caption of the window.

  • My computer is running a backup catalog or the catalog 'master '?

Recently I lost a good amount of work I had done in LR after the deletion of a bunch of my backup catalogs. (RAW images are safe, but all settings were gone).  This leads me to believe that the catalog I was running was stored in my folder of backups and he had a name that made me think it was several months, while he was in fact the most recent catalog.

Then... How can I find out where my catalog 'master '?  It doesn't seem to be residing in the User/pictures/Lightroom folder (this file has a 'last opening' date which is since the beginning of August) and when I do a Finder search for the name of the catalog that is running, this file is located in my internal 320/Lightroom backups .  This leads me to believe that I'm turning one of my backups as the "master" file

I want the catalog I work every day to be located in the User/pictures/Lightroom folder and the backup until found in internal 320/Lightroom backups.

Is this a likely risk or is there something in the outline of production of LR that I don't understand?

    Thank you

    Bruce,

It is reasonable, but it is not what you were doing, of course. Backups are just direct copies of the original catalogue. At some point you can double-clicking on one of them, causing it to be opened in Lightroom. Once this happened, this catalogue has become your "main catalogue", i.e. the default catalog LR opens at startup.

Are your deleted catalogs still in the trash? Did you remove all, or is it a recent that you can copy where you want your catalogue to be? If there is, copy it, and then double-click its icon.

  • Lost and confused... .cannot get LR to find the catalog.

I recently managed to corral all of my photos one a LaCie Rugged hard drive. It is the reader where I intend to keep my LR photos to have portability. As I have all my pictures on HD, as I did on the iMac running the latest available software, I changed the name of the catalog to "My Photos Lightroom"

that are stored on the drive that is labeled "LaCie Photos".  After you get them on the LaCie during the same session, I was able to view them without problem.  Okay, I take the drive and connect it to my MacBook Pro, running the same operating system.  LR could not find the catalog.  I tried several 'remedies', which none worked.  I went back to look at the catalogue on the iMac to see how it has been configured so that I could do the same thing on the MacBook and iMac could not find the catalog.  Until I really mess up things I'd rather have someone more competent as me give me some simple advice.  Summary: How do running on an iMac and a MacBook Pro to locate and use the catalogue of pictures of LR

Located on a portable LaCie Rugged hard drive?  I don't know that I placed the catalog where it should not be lost on the path to the catalog. I need to give specific instructions to the computer and I don't seem to be able to do.  Thanks for any help you can give.

GCR49... I think you are making things very difficult for yourself.

Why don't you start by putting your photos on the EHD, creating the catalog on the pictures on the EHD? In this way, you don't have to transfer the pictures later to SMT. In addition, file-> new catalogue allows you to create a catalog on the EHD.

Do not... Are NOT... do multiple catalogs. "Subsequently, with much more practical, experience and focus I can decide to multiple catalogs if necessary" is a very bad idea, except in a very limited situations. Do not forget this.
