native services, essbase and admin
My users use only Essbase, the Console of the AAS and the Excel add in. It make much sense to install additional components of Hyperion if they are not used. Accordingly, I am considering installing a native version of Essbase 9.3.1. and Services of Admin without Services shared or any other component of Hyperion. Is this a viable option, due to the lack of use of other Hyperion products? If I do that, I'd be able to use the Configuration utility to configure the relational storage and start the deployment of application for Admin Services server without saving it in shared services?
Thank you
Tom
Hello
It is certainly possible to use essbase and eas in native mode, I assume that you will not use the planning or business rules.
You can use the configuration wizard to deploy the application server and configure the database. You can also install and configure shared services, but do not use it, and then if you ever want to use you can only convert the native code in the security mode of the shared services.

Installation of shared services, Essbase and planning
Hello
I use Essbase (64-bit), shared server and Planning + mandatory component of hyperion:
Can I install 32-bit applications planning, Shared services, provider of analytics on the 64 bit (windows 2003 EE) OS
Or does only 64-bit application on 64-bit OS AND 32 bit application on 32 bit OS.
Concerning
KumarOK, so essbase 64-bit will be on another server in this case you should be fine.
You can install other products on a separate 64-bit computer, you will see no advantage to do it well and you might as well use a 32 bit OS, but if you have only a 64 bit OS, you should be fine.See you soon

Synchronize the values of variables of substitution between Essbase and planning
Hello
In EMP 11.1.2.1 version (but we noticed the problem also in previous versions of EPM) when we set the value of a variable substitution in Essbase, the value is not immediately updated in planning: for a while, we see the old value. The value in the planning remains unchanged even to disconnect or exit planning and reconnect.
On the contrary if we restart the planning service, the value is immediately updated
Since we would like to use the Essbase substitution variables to manage some selections in forms of Entru data planning, is it possible to force a synchronization, or increase the frequency of synchronization between Essbase and planning?

automate start/stop service essbase Maxl or batch
HI - how my lot or Maxl file look as if I wanted to go out with a script to stop and start my essbase service? The reason why I do this is because I wanted to stop the service of essbase, so that I can check it in the essbase.log file.
I'm on essbase 7.0, I read some reviews that stop and start the service essbase can potentially damage the dry file. If Yes, then is it otherwise to archive the file essbase.log so that it doesn't grow in megs.
Thank you.Hello
You can use the following maxl
change the shudown system;
It may be useful to stop all applications first for example
change the application system unload all;
or you can use the windows command line
net stop essbaseservicename
and to start
net start essbaseservicename
Another method to save the essbase.log is to make a copy of the newspaper and then use maxl to clear the log.
change the system clear logfile;

I recently changed internet service providers and now my Wired desktop can't connect to the internet. I noticed that the connection is showing 'Automatic private address' can I connect all my fine wireless devices. I did extensive troubleshooting with my service provider, but they suggest that my master's degree network adapter must be replaced. I updated the driver, and the device manager says it's working properly. If I connect the same wire for my laptop, it works fine. This is just my office. Any ideas how can I fix?

Yes, it is a complete and utter scam. Assuming that you don't give them access to your computer, you're probably pretty course. They are the so-called "canvassing" - selection of lists of random phone numbers and try to sell services and/or access to your computer. You did the right thing, hang up on them.

Hi wlw062,
Stllssvr belongs to SureThing CD Labeler also Roxio, that you have installed, or maybe was preinstalled by the computer manufacturer.
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.
Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.
Method 2: Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Original title: necessary emergency aid
Windows lost completely. After trying a variety of things, I finally got one to start, but my entire system had returned back to the year 2012.
After updating my anti-virus and other security programs, I tried to check the updates of Windows, but I get a large red cross saying that the system is not operational. Went and checked in services.msc and the setting says Automatic (delayed). You run the Windows Update Troubleshooting Wizard and he said that he had set things so I rebooted to try check update again. However, I get the same message. There is nothing showing at all when I click "update history", but check "updates installed" shows things are fine until 2012.
Please, how can I get my system again right?
Restart your computer and wait 30 minutes for the system to operate before you download information. When the review much, not Event Viewer log files all problems show in the period immediately after the computer has booted.
Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information). Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Not to place the cursor in the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new information file system each time system information is available. You must allow a minute or two before the file is completely filled before exporting a copy. Please download the file to your OneDrive, to share with everyone and post a link here. Normal mode preferred report. Please say if the report was obtained in safe mode. If the report is in one language other than English, please indicate the language.
Please download and share with everybody fresh copies of your System log and journal of the Application (two files) of your event viewer on your disc one and post a link here. You can delete any previous copies of your OneDrive records.
To access the system, log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window, expand Windows logs and select System. Place the cursor on the system, select the Action in the Menu and record all events like (the evtx default file type) and give a name to the file. Do the same for the application log. Do not offer not filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting the Action from the menu. Do not clear the logs so that you have a persistent problem.

Monitor the quality of my Internet service provider and document the results.
OT: ping.
I am trying to monitor the quality of my Internet service provider and to document the results. I would like to create a ping file during the execution of the order would send ping results to the screen and a file. I ran the file whenever the computer is turned on. The batch file must run continuously until interrupted and view the results of ping on the screen without the statistics, and it looks something like:
Reply from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 19ms TTL = 52
Reply from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 17ms TTL = 52
Reply from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 12ms TTL = 52
Request timed out.
Reply from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 25 ms TTL = 52
Reply from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 191ms TTL = 52
...
In the file, it should write the results and look like:
Wednesday, December 2, 2015 9:30:34.02 response from 173.194.115.4: bytes = 32 time = 19ms TTL = 52
Wednesday, December 2, 2015 9:30:34.58 request has expired....
The batch file should display the results of ping on the screen.
In the file, it should write the results and look like:
It is one or the other: write the result on the screen or write to a file.
It seems that you forgot to ask a question. If you want to know how to do such a thing, so this batch file would do the trick. It will write the result in the desktop Ping.txt file.
off @echo
Set IP = 173.194.115.4
value = Write date % echo %%d time % > ^ > '% UserProfile%\Desktop\Ping.txt '.: Loop
for /F "delims =" % in (' ping-n 1% IP % ^ | findstr /i "demand response" ' "") do write %
Timeout 5 > zero

* Original title: scam or not
I received a call from a woman saying that she was with the ICC with Windows service provider and they received my computer error messages and I wouldn't be able to help me solve it. I asked for a number of 800-373-4609 because he came unknown on my phone.
I wanted to open my computer. I told her I would call her back.
Is it a scam?

Yes, it's a scam. When someone calls and says they need to talk to you about 'mistakes' in your computer, simply hang up. I just had one of these calls myself about 15 minutes ago.

ACS, Service access and authorization
I'm under ACS 5.2 and I'm trying to set up 3 new SSID, which 2 are not guaranteed and 1 which is secure. I'm trying to understand the best way to allow their evolution on which network they come. All authentication requests are from the same devices, LAN controllers without wire, so NDG cannot be used as criteria. I was watching either create 3 Access Services and using selection rules, or by creating 1 Service access and using permission to choose. However, I can't find an attribute to use for determining what network they came.
Anyone has a suggestion for the best way to do it? I have
Go to the elements of the policy-> Conditions of network-> end of Station filters and create a rule CLI/DNIS that includes the name of the SSID, and then use it as a condition to any rule you create for authentication. The SSID will be preceded by MAC address, then enter * ssidname (i.e., match whatever it is before the name SSID, then match the SSID). For example, if the SSID is called lab, then you must enter * lab.
Then go to access-> Service selection policies and create a service selection rule that has end Station filter as a criterion.
