  The proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are two different things. The fact that your ambient light sensor works you says nothing about the functioning of your proximity sensor.

  Click the Windows icon and then click on computer.
  Double-click Local Disc (C)
  Double-click Program Files.
  Double-click HP.
  Double-click on digital imaging.
  Double-click Bin.
  Find and double-click one of the following files. You only have to choose from.
  Hpiscnapp.exe or Hpqscnvw.exe

  Right-click on it and select "create shortcut".

  The shortcut will be placed on the desktop.
  Click on the shortcut to launch the HP scanning application.

  I agree with Akuma.
  If the headphone jack works it looks like a hardware problem. Maybe the internal speakers are faulty or not connected properly to the motherboard.

  The best way would be to contact an ASP. They can check your laptop and swap the internal speakers if it of necessary.

  I have a problem with my iPhone 4 speakers to unexpectedly they just stopped working.

  I don't hear when someone calls, texts or whatsapp me. Aswell as playing music, there is no way the speaker produce sound. My phone vibrates when it receives a notification of any kind, and that's it. The only way for me to listen to something on my iPhone is plug in the headphones to it.

  I tried to plug and unplug the headphones, to ensure that it was not stuck in headset mode, even when playing music. (Did not work)

  I also tried to change my ringtone and reset my iPhone. (Did not work)

  I make sure that the switch on the side is on the sound, I went it so many times. (Did not work)

  I checked that it was not attached to the other Bluetooth device, I turned off and reset. (Did not work)

  Do not disturb is not activated. I checked and double-checked.

  I have reset my iPhone just turn off, on, with the top button and the home button, several times. (Did not work)

  Your audio output is stuck in optical mode, this is the red light.
