  merge the two layers

  Select the white arrow in the Quick Selection tool and remove this part.

  Now, you'll get what you ask.

  You can create a copy of both layers first to test this.

• How should I proceed with the Recovery Console?

  I was stuck in the loop of safe mode. F8 has me on the screen "Disable automatic reboot in case of system failure".  From there, I got the blue screen.  It read "unmountable_boot_volume". Also, the background reading, "Stop: 0 x 000000ED (0 x C0000032, 0x00000000, 0x82B69E30, 0x00000000).»  restaring, brings me to the loop.  I was able to get to the recovery console with a manufacturer to reinstall the drive. I now have a c prompt.  What should I do now?

  Are you go in the XP Recovery Console using the unspecified manufacturer reinstall disk?

  You must run a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.

• Need some help with FLASH

  We have a Satellite L300-149.
  Was running really slowly then wanted to reset it to factory settings.

  Doesn't the "press F12 during startup, insert the disk in" etc etc BUT have a horrible feeling that I put a disc to which belonged in fact to a different Toshiba, we used to use a U300.
  'Give' was that the manual for the U300 is now on the desktop on the Satellite :-/

  I hope that this would not be a major problem BUT the F8 key is gone now it's impossible to connect to the internet.

  I looked online and read that the L300 sometimes doesn't come with a disc that the info is kept on a separate part of the disk hard hope so I could reset it back to settings to factory again but when I click on F2 on start up and go to the option to restore it, noting happens.

  Can someone please help?

  Forget HARD drive recovery now
  You have recovered the system using another disc and it has been removed and the HARD recovery disk image files. If this option is NOT possible!

  You reason that the L300 and all other laptop does not come with recovery discs.
  The recovery disk must be created using the recovery disk Creator called preinstalled software. But it is also NOT possible because you deleted the preinstalled system and the files that are needed for this recovery disk are no longer available!

  But if everything is working properly except the WLan FN + F8 key, then I recommend you only install the Wlan driver. I think that the key does not work because the right WLan driver is not installed.

  I think that the Satellite L300-149 supports the smart WiFi Realtek RTL8187B.

• Qosmio X 70-A - need help with the recovery image installation

  OK, so I recently bought a new laptop (Qosmio X 70 - A) which came with pre-installed Windows 8.1.
  First thing I did was to make a backup of the system, all good and beautiful image... installed a program for a better partition the HARD drive and the program dirty windows. It would not start (a blue screen appeared with the error 0 x 80070035).

  Searched the web for solutions and managed to repair using a recovery media, but the laptop was moving to slow down, the best thing that I thought was a restore with the system that I've done before image.

  I put the image on a blu - ray player and entered the recovery media, troubleshooting, advanced option, image system restore, choose the blu - ray and he went for one minute after this error appeared 0x8078002c and my HD is completely erased...

• Need help with the recovery partition/create recovery media

  HI - first thing I did when I got my thinkpad is a clean install of w7, but then I thought about it and restored the recovery partition, conviniently located at the end of the training, in order to create a backup dvd factory. Thing is, when I click the autorun (lenovoqdrive.exe) and select 'create recovery media', I get an error stating that "program files (x 86) \lenovo\factory recovery\recovburncd.exe" is missing... obviously since the operating system partition was crushed.

  I tried RnR and looked on the software + drivers page and nothing happens as "... \lenovo\factory recovery\" when it is installed. So, where can I download the program that creates the recovery discs?

  (I know possible to restore the operating system of the *.wim file but I want to leave that as a last resort).

  Okay here's what I did to who mightve had the same question: as mentioned earlier, I have restored the partition Q with (your favorite free partition recovery tool), then booted from a usb winpe (with imagex) generated from victory aik (free).

  first I deleted (from winpe boot usb) windoze partition with diskpart and recreated the 2 partitions S & C (and Q is on the left) by hand according to 'recovery.ini' found on q. then I restored S and C 'sdrivebackup.wim' and 'cdrivebackup.wim', respectively, using imagex.exe, which is actually two one liners.

  Finally, I tried the bcd to fixation by hand according to "bcdinfo.txt", also found on Q, but that did not really work... so I just jumped into a bootable win7 USB and he rewrote the bcd by itself (I assume). the last step has been fixing the mbr by using /fixmbr and /fixboot bootrec.exe.

  ATM I started just and afaict it behaves exactly like the first start-up of the plant. see you soon

• Registry cannot load the HIVE file; Need to fix WITHOUT the Recovery Console, computer will not play my Windows recovery disk.

  I need to fix my computer, I got the blue screen of death with the following error message. Registry cannot load the file \systemRoot\system32\config\SOFTWARE "HIVE".

  I read all the forums on how to solve this problem. I tried all the means which have been enumerated. None have worked so far because I can't get my CD player to load to run my Windows XP Pro disc to start the repair.

  I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

  (1) is the computer that is connected to a domain or any form of computer network?

  (2) you are the computer administrator?

  If it's just a PC at home, connect using the administrator account and check the Group Policy client service.

  (a) press the Windows key + R, type services.msc in the Run dialog box and click on enter.

  (b) to navigate down the list until you find Group Policy Client.

  (c) make sure that it is set to Automatic and is started. You can change to double clicking on it and selecting the drop down.

  (d) try the user account login and check.

  It will be useful.

• Need video help with Tungsten E2

  I had a Palm Tungsten E2 for Christmas and loved it, except its ability to play video files. I've tried everything I can think of to try to get the video files on my palm, and still, the Palm will never recognize that they are there. I tried the .mpg, .avi and .wmv files. I used the Palm Desktop Media application to try to get there. I can't use Quick Install because I have a Vista operating system. I tried to download TCPMP to see if it works, and it said on the website that they provide no longer TCPMP. I downloaded the file, he had left, and I couldn't get this one to download on my Palm, either. I also put the video files on my SD card, nothing helps. I've long been frustrated, so any help would be greatly appreciated. If the media player on my Palm does not work, I find rather software that is free.

  When you open in PS LR offer now only render in format Tiff or psd. It is a very sensitive difficult movement that changes a file jpg is never a good idea if it can be avoided. Jpg is a compressed format lossly even at 100%, and so much information is lost when rendered in jpg format that additional changes is very destructive. It is preferable, where possible, to treat jpgs in a finished format and use Tiff for editing. You can compress TIFF without any harm to them, unlike a jpg.

  If hard drive space is of such consequence, you can always delete the Tiff or psd after the final jpg export and just keep the original file. This of course means that you would have to re edit if you wanted to recreate the file. The reasonable solution is more hard drive space. With hard drives under $ £ 40/50 TB these days it is not so expensive.

• Need serious help with FPS on COD4

  Here's my situation.  I have two PC that I built and played COD4 for a year.  The only main I have on average 250 fps in multiplayer mode and the other 130 fps.  I got an internet problem with my modem which is triggered my whole system.  My ESET Smart Security block the connection if my firewall is enabled and was just a difficult fix, but somehow, I got all my internet running so I went to open COD4.  Got into the game and I got a max of 40 fps on pc and it has been on COD5 too.

  I think that it is a network problem, because when I join a server my use of the network in the Task Manager go ever higher. 08% when in a server.  I reinstalled COD4.  I don't think it would be hardware or operating system because they two different PC have been hit by the same problem after problem with my modem.  All of my graphics wise parameters are the same as they were before.

  I really don't think it's a hardware problem, because I can play solo at 300 fps yet and I'm averaging 25 fps in multiplayer mode on two different PCs.  It seems that something is wrong with my network, but my speedtest and browsing results are fine.

  Any suggestions?

  Thank you for using answers Forum.

  If it happens on separate computers, chances are it's a frame with your router.
  The fact that your getting 300 FPS with no. network activity and low number in a multiplayer server is also an indicator that the network appears to be trolling.

  If your able to achieve normal speeds through your browser, this means generally that it is a firewall try to block multiplayer port.

  I recommend that you check the settings of your modem and router to see if a firewall is causing the problem.
