  • Code product key? had reboot my computer and I need a code for Windows Vista from the bottom of my laptop

    Hi, I'm having a problem with my laptop. I bought my laptop online, a year ago, and I got a virus. Then, I had my computer reset and I need a code for Windows Vista from the bottom of my laptop. After looking through records and information, we found that he had no number. He worked initially but then recently he was asked for a product key or something of the sort code. I was using my laptop but I cannot customise my background etc.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much

    The code is located on a label and is a 25-digit alpha-numeric (and very hard to read) code separated into 5 groups of 5 numbers separated by dashes.  If you can't find it on the bottom of your laptop, open the battery housing and remove the battery and look there - I know of cases where this is where it was placed.

    If you can't find the product key, your only choice is to contact the manufacturer and see if they can help.  Sometimes the relocations made with recovery disks don't need to be activated (depends on the manufacturer and their recovery process must ask them and confirm before you spend money on the recovery discs).  A valid product key is required for activation if activation is required - there is no way around this problem.  And in case you are considering on it, you can't switch from one product not enabled - you need to do a clean and complete installation (update disc will not work).

    I hope this helps and that the manufacturer can help you.

    Good luck!

  • Need installation disk for Windows XP Edition family fo Compaq Presario S4020WM.

    Hello

    I'm running a Compaq Presario S4020WM and have Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3) installed.  I got this computer as a gift and it came with this operating system.  The operating system is not a genuine copy of windows (he says it's a version of test on my desktop wallpaper).  The sticker on the computer, says that he supplied with Windows XP Edition original family.  I would like to reinstall Windows XP Home Edition on the computer, but I don't have the installation disc.  I contacted the web site of the window and chat with technical support.  They asked me to contact the manufacturer of the computer for my specific product key installation disc.  My product key is [personal information deleted], my product number is DK214A and the S/N is[personal information deleted].  I know I am not pleased under warranty, but I would be eternally grateful if you could send me the Installation disk for Windows Home Edition for this particular product key.  Thank you.

    My name is sachin, I bought computers multimedia hp-dv6 notebook 3017tu of delhi.

    I can't find the network drivers for windows vista operating system. Please guide, for this reason, I am unable to connect to the internet.

    Hi, Sachin:

    The device details reveal that it is a Realtek ethernet controller. I think it's the RTL8168 series:

    Try these drivers for 32 or 64 bit versions of Vista (they must be grouped in the driver installation file).

    Download and install the 4th on the list.

  • Do I need a driver for Windows Vista Games?

    I have a Palm Zire 31 to hand (remote about 2 years).  Last week, I bought a HP Pavilion with system of Windows Vista 64-bit OS.  Yesterday, I bought a couple of games to download on my Zire 31, but have not had much luck comes from the new computer on the terminal.  Can I first of all updated for Windows Vista drivers?  (I still have the old XP Dell in the children's room, if all else fails!)  The games seem to download OK, but I'm having difficulty getting them to hot-sync on the Zire 31.  I forget something really obvious?  What I am doing wrong?  Shouldn't this download in the normal operation of the hot-sync?  Can you help me avoid a few gray hairs, more with an easy solution?  Thank you for teaching an old dog a few new tricks!

    Palm does not sync for the 64 bit OS support. There is a bluetooth autour work, but as the zire 31 is not bluetooth it is a mote.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • How to make a recovery CD for Windows Vista Home Basic?
    A friend recently gave me a laptop Acer 5315 to play with (I like to play with the old pc...). It came with Win/Vista Basic Home Edition. I got to level with SP2 and 2, kicking the 2gig memory (this is the limit) and now I want to create a backup/recovery disk. It has a CD inside player, but is limited to CD (not DVD). I've been looking around, but apparently creating a Vista recovery disc without the original install disks is not easy. It's true.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Hello
    Strange that it is limited to the CDs, Vista came on a DVD, unless you have specifically ordered CD from Microsoft if you had a license to retail not OEM...
    Use an external hard drive.
    If you want to make a complete PC Backup or a backup file only, buy an external hard drive.
    Only Vista professional, comprehensive and company have the opportunity to make complete backups of PC.
    All editions of Vista can do backups of files.
  • Need all drivers for Windows Vista 64
    Through my errors and problems of clarity with MS support, I inadvertently redownloaded Windows Vista Home on my computer (MS tech sent me a Windows Vista disc given that HP has never provided one in my first computer purchase).  I have all the drivers. can't do on the internet.  The computer does NOT recognize the modem (D-link DCM 202) or router (D - Link WBR 1310).
    My boyfriend says I should go on the MS support site and download (from another computer on a disc then download my computer drive).  The problem is that I havedoes not find the drivers.  Can someone tell me the driver for the internet at least.
    Do not assume that I am a computer person.  The Directorate more the better.  Thank you!
    PS. DON'T want to have anything to with Windows 7... want just the Vista driver.
    If you have an HP pc, sound, which provide the recovery disks, or provide a PC with a restore partition hidden for you to access and create the recovery disks.
    All the drivers for your HP pc from the HP site, specific to your model.
    The D-Link site is where you would get the drivers for their hardware
    Yes, you can do it but you must have a qualifying operating system installed on the hard drive to upgrade.
    W8 upgrade will not install on a hard drive without an operating system on it.
    Hello
    I'm a new Member here and I have a problem with the audio driver for vista for Satellite M100-222, he gives me .inf file not found.
    Can someone help me please?
    Thanx
    Hello
    You check out the file of the driver in the right way?
    All drivers are compressed and you have to decompress before starting the installation.
    Something similar happened to me 2 weeks there, I started the installation and I forgot to unpack the file.
    I just unzipped and started the installation procedure. It's a key then try it.
    PS: The files .ini is certainly in the folder of Vista driver
