Need to delete some contacts!

How to remove a contact without motoblur backup restore? I tried to delete several contacts and before that I can move on to the next, they are restored again. It took me forever to figure this out... seems motoblur site only talks about synchronization and create contacts. only talk about deletion of a contact is when you want to completely wipe your phone clean and restore factory settings... surely it there a way to get rid of unwanted contacts.

Help, please!

This is probably google that causes this problem no blur as blur syncs with your phone after edit you it. Google is more than 1 profile in its SEO. You might have 2 google profiles, but it shows a. Try to separate this contact until you cannot ungroup it more and see all of the profiles that were part of the 1 contact in itself. This is a long post, I did this topic regarding Favorites come back after their removal. Your problem is almost the same. It would be wise of you or not, but it was the only way to explain it. https://supportforums.Motorola.com/message/122766#122766

  • When I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.

original title: require authorization of the SYSTEM

I decided to do a clean install of the latest Windows 7 RC yesterday and today crossed and have started to remove some programs on a separate hard drive so I could reinstall their own.  However when I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.  I am using an administrator account, but I can't just simply delete the file.  I tried going to and change the owner to my account or administrators, close it, change the security permissions to allow me to have full control, and then I can finally remove it.  The problem is, I have to do for all the files one by one in the folder, and I wonder if there is an easier way to go about this, or if I can access the user of this SYSTEM and just delete them all from there.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Not trying to resurrect the old discussions, but I'll answer anyway because this thread came on top of the list of search results when I searched for "you need permission to the SYSTEM; I hope this will help everyone.

Note: here, "the record" as a subject refers to the folder that you want to remove.

Step 1: Go to the built-in Administrator account, you can do so by following these steps:
    a. go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools
    b. on the left panel, go to local users and groups > users. You should now see a list of users on your computer
    c. right click on the administrator account that appears in the list and select Properties
    d. uncheck "account is disabled" and confirm by pressing OK

Step 2: Connect to your newly activated administrator account

Step 3: Now, we start to configure the security settings that will allow you to remove this folder which was (perhaps) held by the SYSTEM:
I'm going to make the assumption that you want to remove a folder and all its subfolders along
    a. right click on the folder
    b. go to the security on the top tab
    c. click on the Advanced button which is at the bottom

: Step 4 the first part to configure security settings to set the owner of the folder:
    a. go to the owner on the top tab
    b. click the button change located downstairs
    c. There should be a list of accounts to choose to change the property, this is located under the label "of a change in ownership:'"
    (d) the entry 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should be there; If this isn't the case, then add it to the list:
-Click on the button "other users or groups...". "who's down
-Under the label "enter the object name to select (examples):', there should be a text field you can type into it;" type in "Administrator" (without the quotes of course)
-Click on the "Check names" button which is located on the right. 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should now be there _For itself_; Well, if not, then you must remove the line that does not represent the administrator account that you are currently
-Confirm by pressing OK; It will now appear on the list of accounts, you can choose from
    e. now, select 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' from this list
    f. check 'Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects' to propagate our change
    g. press OK to confirm. a message should now pop-up window, which says to re - open the properties. Do by pressing all the buttons OK see you

Step 5: now that we have the owner of the folder, we still not done. There is one crucial step left which is to remove permissions inheritable:
    a. Repeat step 3 to learn to re - open properties and get to "Advanced security settings"
    b. go to the permissions on the top tab
    c. click on the button "Change permissions" which is down
    d. at the bottom, there should be 2 check boxes:
-' Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object': deselect this. When you do so, you will get a warning on the parameters of parent is not not able to spread. Select 'Add '.
-' Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object': check this
    e. press OK to confirm. Windows will warn you this time; Click OK
    f. reconfirm by pressing OK; now, you should get to properties again

Now, you shouldn't have all the warnings about the SYSTEM do give you permission as he attempted to perform actions on this issue.
All the boxes to change the permissions on the accounts (properties > Security > Edit) must now be enabled, and you can tinker around with it.

  • Contact to delete some blackBerry Smartphones. The cache?

I have a contact in my app with 2 e-mail addresses. Call Bill Smith.

The address in the contacts list record was no 3rd entry. None of the address books I synchronize with (Windows Live, Gmail, Outlook 2010) at the entrance of the 3rd. He inadvertentlly sent me an email from this 3rd address earlier in the week. I answered it in my Bay. (9800, version of the device 6.0.0.534 platform 6.6.0.200, bureau 6.0.2.44, no enterprise activation, carrier Bell version)

Now, since the device e-mail client, whenever I chose "Bill Smith", only the 3rd e-mail address came.

The book of contacts of device - when I'm not accessing it via the device e-mail client is quite correct.

In the mail client, the only reference to "Bill Smith" refers to a wrong address and does not either of the other two addresses that are in the folder Contacts for 'Bill Smith'.

I deleted the contact total record on all my address books and rebuilt asis Bill Smith.

I have re-sync, reset the device, cleaned the memory, erased the cache.

Still somehow, whenever I have create an e-mail message and enter 'Bi' e-mail client always returns 'Bill Smith' with the 3rd e-mail address. Certainly the record of Billy Smith is there and it's OK, but usually, I want to send to 'Bill Smith' as I did for years.

NET problem here is that when I want to send an email to Bill Smit, it will go to the wrong address (which corresponds to his work address) and we do not want the e-mail to go. I have to be very vigilant in ensuring that I use the 'Billy Smith' of the device client contact.

Is 'Bill Smith' somehow in the cache of the device e-mail client and it will just go away after a period of crush or I can erase it somehow I have not yet been able to understand or talk to us wipe and reload?

    Please try this and report...
Go to Messages > Options > Message display and Actions. Scroll up to "see the recent contacts when writing email. Clear this check box, save and exit. Just for fun, do a battery pull. Once restarted, try going back and compose a message to Bill/Billy. You now only need 2 electronic contacts list addresses option. I hope this helps. ~ ecm

  • "Error 1714. The old version of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable cannot be deleted. Contact your technical support group. »

    (Windows 7 64-bit)

This can be long and winded, but I spent 5 hours trying to solve this problem.

It all started when I tried to uninstall a program, but I kept getting the message that wanted me vcredit.msi (or something like that) I downloaded a copy of it and pointed out the program of this file, but it has always found a problem and wouldn't uninstall. (Add/Remove programs won't uninstall it not more)

So, I moved to the installation of a new program. He repeats to me '\Temp\IXP1. TMP\ is not a valid package for the product Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005
Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredit.msi' in a folder that you can install Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable. »

When I point to the vcredit.msi that I downloaded (just randomly sitting in my docs) I get "error 1714. The old version of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable cannot be deleted.  Contact your technical support group. »

I also have trouble downloading updates Microsoft for Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable & at the same time in updates it shows Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 Redistributable.

I tried to uninstall Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable via Add/Remove Programs, but it won't let me say it does not find some programs.

This thing is annoys the heck out of me.

Any ideas what to do. (Please speak as clearly as possible. I'm a fool when it comes to computers lol)

Original title: Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 disorders (installing and uninstalling of programs)

    Hello Angelz,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

The error you get can be caused by components from Visual C++ Runtime libraries that are missing or get conflicted, perhaps due to a third party software or badly configured registry settings.

So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists:

    Method 1:

    a. click Start, right-click computerand then click Properties.

    b. in the name computer, domain, and workgroup settings , click change settings.

(If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.)

    c. click change settings , and then select the Advanced tab click the environment variables button.

    d. the user variables area, click on TEMPand then click change.

    e. in the Variable value box, type C:\Temp, and then click OK twice.

    f. click applyand then click OK.

    g. follow steps 4 to 6 for the variable of environment TMP as well.

    h. confirm this folder C:\Temp exist, otherwise create a.

    i. restart the computer.

    j. attempt to install the application again.

If the steps do not help, try the next method.

    Method 2:

If you are comfortable in changing some registry settings, then follow the steps provided below.

    1. Click Start and type run in start search box, and then press enter.
    2. Type regedit and click OK.
      Registry warning:
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to change the

Registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 KB
How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
  • Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B
  • Right-click on this registry entry, and then click Rename.
  • Rename F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B to -F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B.
  • Close the registry editor.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Check if you are able to install the application.
  • If the method does not resolve the problem, continue to the next method.

    Method 3:

You can also reinstall Visual C++ Library Runtime components to solve the problem.

You can uninstall all existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

    1. Open programs and features, click Start > Control Panel >programs and features.
    2. In the list, find the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ and click on it.
    3. Right-click on it and select Uninstall.
    4. Restart the computer.

Step 2: Download and install the latest package and see if it helps.

Download the relevant package depending on your system's architecture.

For 32 bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 86)

    For 64-bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones DM6: Outlook deletes pictures contact syncing

I upgraded successfully to DM6 recently. Frankly, I use DM only to synchronize contacts, because I need to synchronize three folders of Outlook contacts, and wireless synchronization will synchronize not more than one contacts folder.

After the first synchronization, for some of my contacts, their photo was gone--but only in Outlook, they are always there in your handheld address book.

I tried to deduce why deleted some pictures and no more, but sees no logic. Apparently handheld reports (wrongly) that there is no image for this contact, causing Outlook to delete. I fear that the next synchronization will make these photos disappear from your handheld, too.

I searched on several forums, but found nothing on this bug. I hope someone can help me solve this problem. Of course I have backups of contacts folders, but I must ensure that after having painstakingly repaired affected contacts, pictures will disappear again to synchronize.

Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2 k 7 connected to Exchange 2 k 7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with v5.0.0.545 firmware. The DM syncs via USB.

Spending a day at fixing the problem. Don't you like just these tools 'new & improved '. If it compiles without errors, shrinkwrap and ship it.

After 6 DM repeatedly moved all our public contacts in my private contacts folder and could not be persuaded to NOT automatically sync, I was tired already.

I ended up uninstalling DM 6 completely and switching of the SM on the web which, in its current version, will be properly synchronized to more than one live contacts folder. I.e. I don't DM on my pc in any need.

He did not take a lot of effort to persuade the BES to start the wireless contact synchronization, multiple cold boots the BB and a new business activation before she started to sink.

So, not really a solution, but a way to circumvent the bad software.

  • Using the REST API to delete the contact from the contacts list

    Hello world

    serverAddress = new URL ("https://secure.p03.eloqua.com/API/REST/1.0/assets/contact/list/72");

    establish communication stuff

    Set up the initial connection

    connection = (HttpURLConnection) serverAddress.openConnection ();

    connection.setRequestMethod ("PUT");

    connection.setRequestProperty ("content-type", "json; charset=utf-8 ");"

    connection.setRequestProperty ("authorization", 'Basic BLOCKED');

    String body = '{\"membershipDeletions\":[\"1\']}";

    connection.setDoOutput (true);

    connection.getOutputStream () .write (body.getBytes ("UTF8"));

The following document describes the operations available for lists of contacts in the Rest API. Please note that we also have a project open source c# example illustrates the use of these endpoints.

Repositories are all available to the public on Github. Hope this helps and please let me know if you need more information.

  • I can't delete some files that I uploaded to the server. What should I do?

I can't delete some files that I uploaded to the server. I get a notice: FTP an error occurred - cannot delete the PDF download server folder. Operation failed. The directory is not empty, or there may be a permission problem.

    What should I do?

Try to delete the files in your folder first.

If there is a permissions problem on the server that you cannot delete files, you need to contact your Site Administrator (if you have one) or your Web hosting provider.

  • I can't delete a folder. In addition, in some cases, I can't delete some files.

Using Windows Explorer (Windows XP) I can't delete a folder. (The data are not a program).

File attributes are set to "hidden files" and the folder is empty (0-byte and no files are in the folder).

In addition, the folder properties (and file) / attributes are 'read only '. When I uncheck "read only" and click OK, then look again at this, the box comes back to "read only with a check mark. (???)

When I try to delete the folder, the message says "no empty folder", and it won't delete.

Also, when I try to delete some files (in other cases) some people will not remove.

    Help, please.

The 'read only' box on issues is not what he says. ignore it.

A folder will not delete if it contains a locked file.  You will need to unlock and remove the file first.

"Some files" will not delete because they are locked - that is to say, they are in use by an application.  There is a utility called "unlocker" used to be recommended to correct this situation, but the download now includes adware that may be reported by your antivirus/antimalware dangerous application.

An 'empty' file that will not delete can be fixed if you run chkdisk.  Click Start > run and type the following command, and then click OK

    chkdisk/f

A window will open to inform you that chkdisk /f cannot be run while Windows is active and proposed to schedule a chkdisk for the next reboot.  Answer Yes and restart.  When chkdisk is complete, delete the folder.

The files that appear to be in use can be deleted by one or more of the following techniques:

    A. deleting a command prompt window.  You need to know the name of full of the file path.  For example, if you try to delete a file named test.txt that is located in a folder named Non empty folder on your desktop and your user name is NR16020, the full path name is C:\Documents and Settings\NR16020\Desktop\Non empty Folder\\test.txt

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Use the del for the files command and the command rd for folders.  If the full path name includes spaces, include it with double spaces.  Using the example:
      del "C:\Documents and Settings\NR16020\Desktop\Non Folder\\test.txt empty"
'C:\Documents and Settings\NR16020\Desktop\Non Folder Empty' RD

    B. remove in safe mode.  To access Safe Mode, restart the computer and repeatedly press F8 immediately after that the power on sequence is complete.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long and need to try again.

    C. remove from a command prompt with closed Windows Explorer.  If the procedure fails because the file is locked, follow these steps:

    • Close all running applications
    • Open the Task Manager
    • Open a command prompt window
    • In the Task Manager process tab, right-click on explorer.exe, and then select end process
    • Open the command prompt window and follow the steps listed in point A above
    • In the Task Manager, click file > new task (run...), type explorer.exe, and then click OK
  • As I was deleting some files from my hard drive, I came across some files that I couldn't remove with a message saying remove wite protection.

As I was deleting some files from my hard drive, I came across some files that I couldn't remove with a message saying remove wite protection. Help!

This error indicates that an application is using this file at this point here. If you are unable to remove it, restart your computer and then try to delete it.

IF YOU ARE NOT SUCCESSFUL WITH THE above METHOD, THEN TRY to USE UNLOCKER, a free application that disables the application using the file that you want to delete.
    Download unlocker from here-http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/
Click on the above link and click on download the newer version on the right side of the screen.
Download UNLOCKER from the link given above and install it. (you may need to restart the computer)
Right-click on the file you want to delete, and then click unlocker.
A new window opens showing all applications using this file.
Select all files, and then click on unblock.
Now right-click on the file you want to delete, and then click on remove.
YOUR FILE WILL BE DELETED SUCCESSFULLY.
If you are still unable to delete that file and unlocker shows no application, then follow these steps-
Right-click on the file you want to delete and click unlocker.
    A small window will appear.
In the drop-down list, choose delete, and then click ok.
Your file will be deleted on the next reboot of the system.
