  My computer died and I got a new and loading of the NOR-DAQmx and Labview 8 worm 7.4 but my old programs, and even examples of Labview can not find basic VI modules as 'create virtual channel '.  It seems as Labview does not know where to look to find these basic elements.  I am running Windows XP Professional on your computer.

  NOR-DAQmx 7.4 is not supported with LabVIEW 8.0. See the following knowledge base:

  If you use a LabVIEW 8.0, you must install the driver NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1, which is the last driver that works with LabVIEW 8.0:

  Attached is a vi that you can use in order to read the measured angular position of an encoder.

  If you need more examples on the tasks that you can develop with NOR-DAQmx and LabVIEW, you just need to open LabVIEW and click Help > find examples > Input and Output material > DAQmx > entry counter.

  I have daqmx 14.0 installed on my Win 64 bit PC and LabVIEW 2014 SP1 32 bit. Today I installed LV 2014 64-bit on my PC and I don't see any DaqMX screws under the section i/o measure. And when I opened my project compiled in 32-bit LV 2014 then computing begins looking for screws DaqMX and I point it to "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2014\vi.lib\DAQmx" but the daqmx vis are broken.

  When I click on the run button broken, the error list displays 2 errors:

  (1) VI couldn't carpule

  (2) external component or missing driver

  It seems that I need to install special drivers for daqmx, so I downloaded daqmx 14.5 of the or site and during installation when it asks the path is by default "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National" but I changed it to "C:\Program File\National Instruments\" and the installation program gave an error message that I can't install the 32-bit files in 64-bit folder.

  How to solve this error?

  Reinstall everything DAQmx.  It will install only the parts you need, in this case, it should just be support for LabVIEW.

  I recently downloaded Labview 8.5 on my computer (free student version). I also installed the Driver nor-DAQmx hardware to the computer and the acquisition card (BNC-2120).

  Everything works fine. Only, I would use DAQmx Labview Vis and I can't find them.

  Is there a reason? How can I find/download them?

  Do you have what DAQmx version installed?  It seems that the latest DAQmx version that will work with LabVIEW 8.5 is DAQmx 9.3.  If you have installed something more recent, it will not work with LabVIEW 8.5.

  I use LabVIEW to my University via a Campus license since 2005. I installed it on several computers.

  My problem is related to a new LabVIEW installation on a brand new computer.

  I have the license Site LAbVIEW 2011 Academic just installed and validated (via the License Manager) in this new machine running 64-bit Windows Seven.

  [I also installed the DAQmx and the "distribution of February 2011" IMAQ drivers (downloaded from OR) as well as the NI Vision Software (version for LabVIEW 2011, the same distribution as the LabVIEW 2011).]

  I launched LabVIEW Ant checked to see if everything was there, specifically the DAQmx and IMAQ functions, since I have the cards OR to make the acquisition of data and images. Note that I have not yet installed these cards in the PC. I m going to do only when I would have ensured that all the software is ok.

  The subpalette DAQmx in measurement of i/o functions palette is missing.

  Also, if I'm looking for the NI-IMAQ subpalettes in the range of Vision and movement functions they also lack.

  When you install the drivers, you include support for LabVIEW 2011?  If this isn't the case, you won't see the LabVIEW screw in your palettes even if the software is installed.  Normally I expect that the Setup program automatically adds this support, but he can't do it, especially if you have installed the drivers before installing LabVIEW.  See the image below:
