  I just got my new phone Droid Friday (abandoned on my iPhone because of the shitty camera, too many problems with applications, difficulties with my own custom ringtone and the network). So far, I am impressed by the performance and ease of use. One thing missing in all of the ads is the absence of the possibility to synchronize with a Windows PC. I understand quickly that I had to move all of my contacts, emails and Google calendar but also mount SD card to access the SD card via USB. I copied my ringtone on the SD card. I made sure to disassemble and even rebooted the phone. I tried to use the Android file manager to copy the file system/media/ringtones mp3 and I get an error "can not stick mp3 in the Clipboard. I tried to use another file manager as well without success. It seems to be a permissions issue.

  Anyone know how I can import my MP3 ringtone to use as a ringtone on my phone?

  I created a file on the SD card named My Music and downloaded an MP3 on it. Then went to the icon of music and found it. Played... then click the menu button and asked if I want to set as ringtone. It works...

  Just still trying to find a way to put a different MP3 as a reminder by email.

  I simply copied the new custom skin and style in two places and I could see the new skins under dashboard properties drop-down list. And it works very well as expected.

  In other words, if you are in a meeting and on vibrate or silent mode, the phone will ring always if a call is received by a contact with a custom ring tone.  It is a defect and design MAJOR, in my view, totally unacceptable.  On all other BBs, vibrate and silent mode apply to all calls/messages - even those with custom ringtones.  Why is different from the storm.  He made the custom meaningless since once assigned ringtones, they can never extinguish. so for BB users who regularly attend meetings beware!  Assign a custom ring tone will be a career limiting move.

  As a loyal BB user for 5 years and more, I humbly ask RIM to fix this ASAP!

  I guess that when I changed it to the volume of the active profile that it would float to the active profile, being far away when it is to vibrate or silent or normal.  That doesn't seem to be the case.  It would be more logical than sense, though.

  However, I made a temporary fix.  I created a custom profile I call silent default.  I put the ringtone in this profile to:

  Ringtone: Ringer_ClassicPhone

  Volumeilent

  LED: Normal setting

  Vibration: on

  This causes the vibration when one of the call of people custom ringtone.

• Custom notifications and ringtones not available more

  I can't take when this happened, but it was last week, but custom notification and the ringtone that I put restore the default values, and the phone is no longer see them in the list.

  Initially they sounds (mp3 and wav) were in directories in the main repository, Notifications and Ringtones I moved the in the subdirectory of a music that I found online, but I still don't see them in the list.

  The only thing I've done recently is updated the built in "Themes" app.

  Actually, it's funny you mention it as a reboot seemed to have worked without even seeking the .nomedia file.

  I restarted the phone between the messages and the selection is now available.

  Bug somewhere, I guess.

  I believe you are referring to the rectangles of tile as visitors on the page? not exactly customer database?

  You can add rectangle with different effects with rollover State of mouse and about adding new, you must do this manually in design mode.
