  We have 125 + ipad devices in the Profile Manager.  I would like to export the name ipad, carrier no_serie and cell phones and other cell Info for all devices in a text or CSV file.  I can go to the details of each instrument section and manually search each of them, but it's tedious.

  There must be a way to use the Profile Manager to help inventory devices, otherwise it must be a critical feature added.

  This can be done.  You will need to query the database directly.  Try this:

  1: connect to the database (do this on the server running the Profile Manager)

  sudo psql - U _devicemgr d devicemgr_v2m0 h/Library/Server/ProfileManager/Config/var/PostgreSQL

  2: you will be asked your admin password.  You will not see what you type.  When you're finished, press return.

  3: you'll be in the interactive shell and get a prompt as follows:

  psql (9.3.9)

  Help, type "help".

  4: Congratulations, you have connected to the database.  We start to dig down and find out what is stored in there.

  5: to list databases, use this command (it's a lowercase L):

  The laptop can be recovered using the recovery disk or recovery disk that you can create using the preinstalled software called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

  I would like to respond on comments like yours, it s a good exercise for my work and my s really cool to have a few topics which will help all the people here.

  JohnnyS is a friend of mine who works with me at our office and we talked a bit about your problem.
  If his opinion is to use the UBCD4Win and work with this option.

  The advice from him were:

  Take a USB - HDD enclosure and put a disk in it and start with UBCD4Win. Copy any important data in a folder on the external HARD drive, then remove the uneeded data on this subject. Only important data!
  Make a backup of your data on the external hard drive for two HDD´s I hope that you have enough free space.

  Format the drive in your machine and get it back. Install the system as usual on your first HARD drive.
  Then put the data anywhere.

  So I don't know if I have it just ask, a little more explanation would be useful. I think that this is a long thread. ;)

  Select substr (doc_no, 1, 6) Date of birth, case where 5000 > to_number (substr (doc_no, 7, 4)) fitting and "masculine" of other 'female' gender, then substr (doc_no, 11) nationality

  from table_name

  Don't know what 0 you have been pointing to nationality, but you can certainly change the last substr to deduce from this area.

• How can I retrieve the same page of a file folder?

  Acrobat X Pro, I have a folder of PDF of 100 + and I want to extract the page 6 of each of these files in order to collect all the pages that are extracted into a new document.  Currently, all I can get it to do is extract the pages and open this page extracted into a temporary file which I then individually save and close individually.

  It is currently what I have and that's obviously not what I need...

  placed in an action will do what I originally wanted.  It retrieves the requested page in each of the files in a selected folder.  Then renames the files as indicated in the language, saves them to the specified and closes.

  Could someone help me with a very basic question to Adobe Authorware?

  I got a CD with an Authorware file, called "PB116_17".  The file was created in 2004, and it contains 300 screens of photos with several questions and answers for each photo.  The file works fine on my computer when I double-click on it.

  What I need to do, it's the entire text of these questions / answers enter in a word processing program.  It doesn't seem to be a way to copy and paste into the module while it is running, so presumably I open in another program.  I downloaded a free trial of Authorware 7.01 but when I try to use it to open the file I get the following error message:

  The file 'PB116_17.exe' cannot be opened because the following error has occurred: bad or wrong type file.

  No idea what I am doing wrong?  In case it's helpful, here are a few pieces of info from the 'Properties' window for the file:

  File type: Application

  Description: Authorware Runtime

  Size: 31.4 MB

  File version: 7.0.1.0

  You will not be able to open the. EXE. Authorware works with the source files with the extension A7P. The content author creates the file in the format A7P then use Authorware to "publish" the file. Which generates the EXE file that you have received. If you do not have the A7P file then you can not copy the text. You will need to contact the company or individual who created the content for the text.

• Need to retrieve the HARD drive off accident T61

  My T61 crashed a while back and I would like to recover the files from the hard drive. The T61 used BIOS protection to prevent any intrusion HDD. I have my password, but no way to use it. I can attach it to another computer via the USB port, the drive will appear as unallocated. Suppose I need to ask for the password. Don't know how to do this. I have an older T60, but have been hesitant to connect this drive in it as the main drive, because the components are a little different and may not react as well. Certainly not worth damage to a work computer.

  What is the best way to recover these files?

  Welcome to the forum!

  You won't damage the T60 by inserting the hard disk stuck in it, and the material must be close enough for you to be able to clear the password in the BIOS and then to recover the files.
