  • Unknown column 'name' in 'field list '.

    I use Dreamweaver MX and am having a problem with the connection from php, mysql. First of all, the connection between apache, mysql, php and Dreamweaver MX seem to be fine communitating. I recently added fields to an existing table in a database. I can check the fields are there through an external program and the names I use are correct. I've updated the program to make the new field names (checked and double-checked the correct spelling, variable, etc...) The program and the database were communication correctly before I added the new fields, and the program will still read the old existing fields, but not the newly created fields. When I go to the application tab and check that the database of my database is here, when I drill down to the table, none of the new fields appear. I have delected recording of data in the application tab and recreated with a different name. It connects, but will not display the new fields. All the old fields appear fine. How can I force Dreamweaver to query the database and pick up the newly created fields? I'm puzzled.

    Nevermind, I'm a fool!

  • How to propagate the column names in the file engineering reverse to db table?

    Hello

    I have successfully reverse engineered column about 100 names on the first line of a file flat .cvs in a data store of file (technology) using ODI 11.1.1.

    Now I would like to imitate what I used to do with OWB: simply propagate these column names from my data file store flat source to my table (in the meantime) target store empty db.

    How can I do?

    ---

    I tried as much as one can intuitively: drag the columns in my store of source (depending on model) to my target db table that is open in the main view, but ODI Studio just opens as Inspector tabs for columns.

    In my loading interface, if I choose 'Temporary target', it behaves exactly as I want (rigth click .cvs file to map the tab 'Add a column to the target'), even the chains are transformed into Varchar2...
    ... only, it will not implement target as a permanent store if I uncheck 'Temporary' and I can't select and copy the entire grid to export elsewhere.

    Generating the DDL to create a target table db and reverse would still be acceptable to me but generating the DDL for a store file does not make sense to ODI.

    Any help?

    Thank you

    2 quick ways to do:

    1.) copies the file according to the data store and then move it to the Oracle based model.
    2.) use CFD (designer of common Format) and create a diagram in your model of Oracle based. Drag and drop the file based model in there.

  • Unknown column in the PHP/MySQL field list

    I created a feedback form for our airshow site and it works great. I now create some pages of the review, which are also working well, then

    ... I decided to improve one of the review pages and now it does not work... sigh.

    We ask stakeholders to provide their zip code and I have a vision showing the number of responses by postcode, this works very well and can be seen here http://www.hollisterairshow.com/feedback-results.php , so I decided to improve it by adding the City / State based on zip code. I created a new table called 'postcodes' and imported a list of zip codes and city / state info - all the 42,000 + of them.

    The PHP/MySQL, who works is illustrated below

    <? PHP
    Connect MySQL

    $query = "SELECT zip, COUNT (zip) ZIP GROUP BY feedback";

    $result = mysql_query ($query) or die (mysql_error ());

    Print results
    While ($row = {mysql_fetch_array ($result))}
    echo $row ["zip"]. " ". $row ['COUNT (zip)'];
    echo "< br / > ';
    }
    ? >

    As I am now faced with two tables, I thought that I had to add the name of the table in any field, so I added the names of tables and fields to the new table so

    I changed the PHP / MySQL as follows

    <? PHP
    Connect MySQL

    $query = 'SELECT feedback.zip, COUNT (feedback.zip), zipcodes.citystate OF feedback codes postal WHERE feedback.zip = zipcodes.zipcode GROUP BY feedback.zip';

    $result = mysql_query ($query) or die (mysql_error ());

    Print results
    While ($row = {mysql_fetch_array ($result))}
    echo $row ['feedback.zip']. " ". $row ['COUNT (feedback.zip)']. " ". $row ['zipcodes.citystate'];
    echo "< br / > ';
    }
    ? >

    and it fails when I run it says ' Unknown column 'feedback.zip' in "field list '"

    I would be grateful any suggestion on this, I am new on this PHP/MySQL stuff.

    Thank you

    Tony

    Tables listed in the From clause must be separated by commas. As it is, it is evaluated as an alias.

  • Having a column name as a variable in a query, problem!

    I have a problem with a simple query below

    SELECT * FROM DisneyWHERE Upper (COLNAME) AS SUPERIOR ('%' |) SEARCHSTRING. '%'); SELECT * FROM Disney
    WHERE Upper (COLNAME) AS SUPERIOR ('%' |) SEARCHSTRING. '%');

    My problem, the variable of column name is not recognized as a column for example name
    A user can select to display a set of characters from the database by user name, movies, etc (they selecting this function since a combobox), they then enter a search string (textbox)
    column name = user name
    SearchString = pluto

    SELECT * FROM Disney
    WHERE Upper (COLNAME) AS SUPERIOR ('%' |) SEARCHSTRING. '%');

    The problem is orac; e does not seem to be picking up this column name is a column name and seems to be a simple comparison. To make this more clear

    It "seems to match the username = pluto
    instead of find pluto in the username column.

    Someone at - it ideas how I can get around this. I have a strange feeling, it's something to do with pl/sql dynamic, but I am new to oracle, so I have no idea of how to write dynamic queries. Any help would be appreciated muchly

    Sort of Yes and no.

    If colname is 'film' and the search string 'star wars' is the place where actually takes the clause...

    WHERE username as username
    AND the movie like 'star wars % % '.

    If username is not limited in any way and it limits just on film.

    Conversely if the column name is "username" and the search string is 'Bob Smith' then where clause evaluates actually to...

    WHERE username like ' %% of Bob Smith.
    AND the film as film

    then move is not limited in any way and simply limits on the user name.

What I'm asking is when the report is run can column sorting to default Count1 and Count5 descending instead of the ascendant. I don't see anywhere to set the default value for the sort column.

    Hi - on the report of the page attributes - that you show in your attached screenshot - you can select the columns to sort on the sort sequence as well as the direction of the sort, i.e. for a given column, you can choose to allow sorting on this column, what position this column must be in the sort sequence and whether to sort Ascending or descending by default (i.e. '1' means sort this column first and bottom-up and "1 desc") sort this column first and downhill). Don't forget that once you click on one of the headings of column during execution, it changes your sort settings and these settings are stored in your preferences, that is, they are used again the next time you log in your application and rerun the report.

    I opened a SR and a bug has already been reported, and the solution is in the latest patch.

    Solution

    The fix for the Bug 17449036

    is included in the bundle 20124371 Patch (patch bundle 11.1.1.7.150120). See this note for more information:

    Note 1488475.1: OBIEE 11 g: required and recommended patches and Patch Sets

    There is also a one-off Patch 17449036 on top of previous patch bundle for different platforms.
    It is advisable to be in the latest patch bundle. In this case, you prefer to apply exceptional measures, you can do but

    CASE WHEN Column3 = 'Yes' THEN 'Column2' END like y3

    You're right that toto is an identifier, but this isn't a column name.  (Of a subquery) column alias are not database of the names of columns either, nor are the names of the user-defined function.

    Also, there is a possibility for ambiguity even if all the names are the database column names.

    Won't the doc or did I just miss something?

    I can't say until I see the doc you're talking about.

    Oracle documentation is sometimes misleading and sometimes just plain wrong.  For each mistake outright example that I saw in the docs of Oracle, there might be 20 cases where the meaning is unclear or misleading and maybe 200 where I just read it wrong.
